The texture really pops on this card.  Tonight I had my Big Shot School.  We do four projects and really use every type of die known to Sizzix.  I try to give my customers as much info in a couple hours as I can of all the great uses they can do with this fab machine.  One of the best dies I think is just a MUST have is the Top Note die cut.  You can make every animal face, body as well as boxes!  Another thing my friends learned tonight was a how to turn this great Top Note Die into a Medallion or Circle with cool Design!  Not really sure what to call this, but I like it.  All I did was cut the original Top Note and then continue to die cut the same top note by lining up the points and turning the Top Note each time.  I think I ran the same Top Note through 4-5 times until I got the desired look.  Really fun. 

Now, about that texture!  This new embossing folder is just the bomb!  It’s called Final Press.  This is a Stampin’ Up! exclusive and it’s so pretty.  Here is a quick run down on how I made this card:

1. Stamp Medallion stamp in the corner onto Kraft cardstock using Bashful Blue ink.  (WOW that looked so nice to me!!!) 

2. Using Final Press Embossing Folder, emboss Bashful Blue cardstock (2 x 5 1/2).  Wrap Bashful Blue Taffetta Ribbon around card and tie in a pretty bow. 

3. Using Circle #2 Die Cut, die cut large circle.  Run through Final Press Embossing Folder. 

4. Using Kraft cardstock, die cut using the Top Note die to get the Medallion looking thingy I did.  See dircetions above. 

5. Using Bashful Blue cardstock and Stampin’ Up! Thanks embosslit, die cut the Thanks embosslit and attach a silver brad on each side of Thanks.  Using Bashful Blue ink, lightly sponge over the embosslit and the Large Circle.  Attach all elements using dimensionals. 

Those were pretty brief instructions, but I hope you get to make one yourself.  You just have to touch that wonderful texture.  I love it. 

Continuing on the Medallion mission I’m on, here is another card I have for you!

This card I used the Medallion stamp with Old Olive ink on the Cottage Wall DSP.  You can see it but I did add a little sparkle of dazzling diamonds on the little circles.  So fun and bling blingie!  This card uses the Stampin’ Up! HI Embosslit and the New Stampin’ Up! Perfect Details Textruz Plate.  Another new fav of mine. 

You may not believe this but I seriously have about 4 more projects with this stamp coming your way.  I just finished a scrapbook page with it.  SAY it isn’t SO!

It’s off to bed for me now.  It’s been a crazy creative day.  This brain needs a little rest a roo!

I pulled out my new Exclusive Fancy Favors Die Cut box today and had a blast decorating it with new products!  First, this is a fantastic box.  This box is 3" wide and 3 1/2" tall.  Super box for any favor!  The delicate fancy border at the top of the box just screams "Special Gifts"!  I love it.  I decided to try a few new products and a stamp set I’m glad to see made it to the new catalog!

My favorite thing about this project was the colors.  I love how Soft Suede and Tempting Turquoise has a nice vintage feel.  I punched a 1 3/4 circle in the center of the box and used a window sheet inside the box so you can see the fun tags inside. (I am forever grateful to Stampin’ Up! for bringing these back! Yee Haw!) 

I stamped the Medallion stamp set onto the Fancy Favor box using Soft Suede Ink.  I then stamped the Medallion stamp onto Kraft cardstock using Tempting Turquoise and punched out the center using a 1 3/4 circle punch.  I added a Build a Brad in the center of the Turquoise stamped circle.  The sentiment comes from the Great Friend stamp set and I stamped that using Soft Suede ink and made a banner.  Of course I lightly sponged around the box using Soft Suede. 

As for the tags… I die cut these using theStampin’ Up! Exclusive Two Tags onto Kraft cardstock!  Wow are these great and will get plenty of use during the upcoming holidays.  You will love this die cut.  Again, I used Soft Suede and Tempting Turquoise ink.  The sentiments on each of the tags come from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Pefect sentiments that fit in NUMEROUS punches from Stampin’ Up!.  I also used Button Latte and Playground buttons.  The new Playground buttons are SO fun!  I used the Jumbo Eyelets at the top of each of the tags and even added a splash of color using my favorite Spritzer tool.  Lastly, I couldn’t help but add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  Oh so pretty!!!  The moral to this project… the Fancy Favor Box is FABULOUS!

The day wouldn’t be complete without a little creative inspiration as well!  One thing I love in the new catalog this year are a few organizational items that are just too fun.  These new Gusseted Envelopes are so awesome. Okay, last bit of inspiration for this fabulous Monday morning!

The Medallion Stamp on page 133 is by far one of my new fav stamps.  For this card I stamped the Medallion onto the Naturals Ivory cardstock and then stamped again on another piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock and cut the image out.  A little tedious, but I did like the end result.  The Medallion is stamped in the Crushed Curry ink.  You will notice that I die cut one of the Lots of Tags sizzlits using Crushed Curry cardstock and also ran it through the new Final Press Embossing Folder.  The wow factor with that Embossing Folder is awesome!

Today I jumped in feet first and started creating with the new goods.  Oh my they are awesome.  I can’t wait to show you the things I have been creating.  Let me just say that the Medallion stamp set on page 133 of the new catalog is my new favorite stamp set in the whole world.  So love it.  Of course the new Razzle Dazzle stamp set comes in a second fav right now too.  Check this out:

I love how you can just add a few simple stamping elements and make a card so pretty.  I used the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer paper and the God’s Blessings Stamp set to add to this card.  The card base uses Rich Razzleberry In Color cardstock and the upper half is More Mustard.  So yummy! Once again, I took my Rich Razzleberry In Color Marker <Oh so in love with these> and colored my Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.  YOU just have to try this.  You can do this on your stamp pad too.  Easy peasy. 

Now, for the next card!

This beautiful Soft Suede and Bordering Blue will be a favorite color combination this year.  I have always loved the color of Bordering Blue but when you pair it with Soft Suede it reminds me of the bedding you find in Pottery Barn.  The bottom sentiment comes from the Razzle Dazzle stamp set too.  Don’t mind my little ink smear at the bottom of the card.  Naturally that happened as I was finishing and I thought <only a quick second> of redoing the card over and that thought was CRAZY!  So there is the card -mistake and all.   

Time to create more fun projects.  I can’t wait to show you what I did with the new Gusseted Envelopes on Page 169 of the catty.  So FUN!

Hopefully this holiday weekend you are enjoying the sweet smell of BBQ and enjoying your family and celebrating our Independence and Freedom!  Here at our home we are doing exactly that!  We enjoyed a beautiful light show of fireworks last night.  It was super late for the kids, but they loved it.  I love fireworks and last night they were spectacular. 

So to celebrate the creative way I wanted to share a card I made using the Sticky Cut Pages and my Big Shot.  If you remember the watermelon I made recently on the scrapbook page I had also used my Sticky Cut pages.  These are wonderful to use with your Big Shot!  For this card below I used the the Stars Die Cut, Fine Galaxy and Supernova Glitter!

The stamp set I used is called Starring You (111696).  This set actually coordinates with one of our Simply Sent Card Kits called Rock Star.  

Here is another card using the Sticky Cut Pages:

For this card I used the Flower Daisies #2 Die Cut.  I used the Fine Supernova Glitter and Corduroy Buttons and Brads for the centers.  Love how the daisies turned out.  

Overall, I think the Sticky Cut Pages are awesome to add to your stamping supplies.  Many possibilities with this product.

 Okay, lets start with another Stencil idea.  I used the Stencils at my Jacksonville meeting so they can see how wonderful these stencils are.  While I have a few of the Stencils, the Kind Thoughts Stencil is my favorite.  For all the other projects I have done I have used the Small Kind Thoughts Stencil.  Today, I want to show you the Medium Size.  I bought this plain Metal Frame at Hobby Lobby last week.  I thought it would  be fun to use the stencil paste on the frame!  Check this out. 

Once again, I just put the stencil over the frame and applied the Stencil Paste.  Once I lifted the Stencil off the frame I let the paste dry about two hours.  Then, I used some DecoArt Elegant Finish Metallic Glaze over the paste using a foam brush.   It looks great and FEELS great.  I am super proud of how this came out.  I am always amazed at how beautiful these stencils work.  Just a great product!!!

So, while I was in Jacksonville my friends (AKA Demonstrators) made some cute projects I want to share. 

We did a total of 5 projects and these were a few of my favorites.  Who am I kidding? I like them all.  LOL!  The first sample uses the Circle Circus stamp set.  You will love this VERSITLE stamp set.  It’s a DREAM stamp set.  So fun!  I just made the circles into Trees. 

The second project uses a NEW Hostess Set called Wings of Friendship.  Beautiful stamp set.  Love that bird! The last project uses my favorite stamp set, Friends 24-7.  No, not a new stamp set but the colors are In Color and I just couldn’t help myself and NOT use that set.  It’s a sickness I tell you!

All week I have so many things to share.  Let’s hope the days cooperate and all gets done.

I’ve been busy working on a few projects around here and I must say I am pretty proud of one of them. 

I found the Plastic Candy Maker Ribbon at Hobby Lobby and if you were there you would of known it.  I squealed with delight for many reasons.  First, each month I always decorate my stamp room along the upcoming Holiday Theme.  I love to be festive.  When I saw this in the candy Isle, I thought how fun it would be to make a few of these Ribbon Candy Pops and use my Retiring Stamp Set The Free & the Brave and tie a tag off the pops.  Then my mind was going 90 miles an hour when I got to thinking of my upcoming Cards for the Cure that me and the demonstrators in the area do every year.  Won’t this be fun to use Pink Chocolate and have Pink Ribbons!  I am super excited about that!!!

I’ve been working on a few birthday cards as well.  Here is one using the Surf’s Up! stamp set. 

I used two of the new In Colors Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede.  I love these colors and they were perfect for a little boy birthday card. 

Last thing to share is my new FAVORITE stamp set TODAY! I have many favorites from the new catalog, but Razzle Dazzle is one that I seem to be pulling out a lot. 

I think me and the Spritzer Tool are new best friends.  I love using that tool and I love the new In Color Markers.  I could kiss Stampin’ Up! for coming out with the markers in the In Colors.  I warned my kids to be good or I will spritz them with a Melon Mambo marker.    Have you noticed that Shabby Chic is coming back strong?  I love this vintage look.  I could tear, rip and crumple paper all day.  So fun! 

I better get back to packing.  Lots to do before that early morning flight.  Have a fabulous weekend. 

Of course add that beautiful Kraft paper and you have yourself one heck of a project, right?  I used the NEW Circle Circus stamp set (so in love with this!!!) and also added  one of the Hooray Designer Hardware in the center.  What was so fun was putting my Melon Mambo MARKER in the Spritzer tool and splashing a little color on the card with that.  That really tickled me PINK!  I’m typically not big on BRIGHT colors like this but I have fallen in love with this pink.  It’s a real happy color and when I added it to the Kiwi Kiss it really screamed SUMMER!  The sentiment came from Really Retro.  I have many ideas planned with the Circle Circus stamp set and can see this set being a favorite for scrapbooking.  If you love circles, this set is for YOU!

Hope you had a terrific weekend!  Our trip to Breckenridge was amazing.  The crisp air in the mountains was beautiful and thin!  The highest altitude we were at was 11,128 ft.  Talk about thin air and feeling like an AIR head (sometimes quite normal for me).   Despite the rain, we had such a great time with the kids.  Today on the way home we stopped at the Renaissance Festival. I will share pics tomorrow.  This is one of my favorite things to do this time of year.  I love art, and this is a great place to see amazing art and people.  I could just sit and watch the people and be happy.  I am always so amazed at how many people dress up for these events.  Seriously! Like I said, I will share a few pics tomorrow.

So, remember when I shared this tin back in February? 

Well, this project uses the exact same tin.  These tins are SO awesome to use for gifts for friends and family.  This time I covered the tin entirely with cardstock.  I would show you the inside of the tin, but honestly there is nothing in it because I haven’t had time to fill it.  I’m not sure what I would put in this one?

Okay back to my point… ARE THESE NOT THE CUTEST THINGS???  I would fall out if someone gave me alittle gift like this.  This one is so shabby and yes, I used Friends 24-7 AGAIN!  My club members didn’t seem to mind.  <wink>

To make this cover for your tin, cut your cardstock to 5 3/4 x 8 1/2.  With the 8 1/2" side at the top of your trimmer, score at 3 3/4 and 4 3/4.  Corner round all four ends and then decorate to your liking.  I used the Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel and the leaves are from the Sizzex Little Leaves.  I love these leaves.
