I just finished up my Something Sweet stamp set class, and we made six cute cards (see samples below). My favorite is the pig card, which was adapted from Amanda Coughlin's blog (see link for tutorial on how to make the trap door: website)All samples were made with the Something Sweet stamp set (page 20-21 in the Occasions mini catalog) and the Sweet Treat cups. Julianne and Emma model the Owl card set tins we created using the Stampin' Up! Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper. Julianne's sister pledged Chi Omega sorority, so we had lots of fun making owl creations for her and her sorority Big Sis. Other Supplies used: Whisper White, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand Card stock, Turquoise, Real Red, So Saffron, and Pretty in Pink ribbons, Top Note Big Shot die , Scallop Circle Punch, Eyelet Border punch, 1-inch punch, 3/4" punch, and 1/4" punch. Just another week until Valentine's Day -- there is still time to create cute cards and gifts for the special people in your life! I had a lot of fun playing with the Sweetheart special stamp set available for a limited time paired with the Heart Treat Cups and Full Heart Punch. Colors used for this card are Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Green Galore. Let me know if you would like to order these items!
Another treat cup idea -- however, this time I used the regular Sweet Treat Cups (I am having a "Something Sweet" class on February 21 and 27 to make 6 different types of cards with that stamp set and Sweet Treat Cups -- contact me if you want details). I created these pages for my scrapbook club a few weeks ago, and I have to admit that I wasn't looking forward to creating wedding pages -- don't really have a need for them right now. However, I was very impressed with the self adhesive die cuts and paper patterns with this kit. I think the pages turned out simple, but nice. If you don't need wedding pages, you could leave off the various words, and you would have nice black and white pages to use. Here are some more page spreads I created:

Here is a cute card idea (I totally copied this idea) using the Kaleidascope Designer Series Paper along with the large scallop die for the Big Shot. Simply cut the scallop to create a dress, and voila! The greeting is stamped in Certainly Celery ink and punched with the oval punch and then framed in the scallop oval.
Don't you love the Kind & Caring Thoughts hostess set? I used that stamp set with the Top Note die for the Big Shot, Melon Mambo, Gable Green and Bermuda Bay card stocks (and embellished with the Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon).
The new Sale A Bration set called Vintage Labels is great (and I especially like using the clear blocks with this stamp set). This is a very simple card (could be a masculine card) using my favorite DSP: Certainly Celery and Bermuda Bay (along with Chocolate Chip).
I know this stamp set was in the holiday mini catalog (Cold & Cuddly), but here in Ohio -- it has been so cold!!!! This little penguin is sitting on ice embellished with my favorite -- Dazzling Diamonds glitter! Happy January (both of my sweet girls were born this month!!!!).
September 1 is tomorrow! How did that happen? :) It got me thinking that I'd better get thinking about Halloween ideas. Here is a little card I created using the new Sweet Centers stamp set (available in the new holiday mini catalog). I embellished the card with the Cast-A-Spell Designer Series paper and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Ink colors and card stock: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Basic Black.

On another note, one of the demonstrators in our group (Jaime) had to move to Michigan last month :(. We had a little going away margarita party for her -- Jaime -- we miss you! Pictured are (from left): Sherrie, Mary, Jaime (our guest of honor), Michelle, Karen, Sheryl and Marilyn. We are toasting Jaime with her all time favorite -- cherry cup cakes! :O
Well... it's been a busy summer! What can I say!I have been remiss in posting on my blog, but I have been busy stamping! I am excited about this "5 o'clock somewhere" class I am having August 16. We will be making 6 different cards -- here are some of them.
The first sample (above) is my favorite -- I love the new Stampin Up! In Color: Melon Mambo. This card features that card stock run through the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder along with the Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon (and a little Crystal Effects, too!).

For my June stamp clubs, I wanted to try something fun and different... we ran the sticky sheet paper through the Big shot using the Tulipe die -- placed the pieces on to the beautiful Parisian Breeze Designer Series Paper, added some brown glitter, and voila! I really love how this card turned out -- simple and elegant. It is a 6x6" card (extra postage!) mounted on Chocolate Chip card stock and tied with Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

I always struggle coming up with masculine card ideas. Here is a card I made for a swap with a group of my customers using the And Many Mower stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog. It is embellished with To The Nines DSP and double stitched Chocolate Chip Ribbon. The mower is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and colored in with Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke marker. The wheels are jumbo pewter eyelets set with the Crop-A-Dile.
