Here are a couple of items that I created for a craft fair that I was in a few weeks ago. They used the Stiched Felt from the SU! Mini Catalog. I cut the letters out using my Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Alphabet Simple Letters Bigz dies, and white Decor Element Sheets. The frames are metal.
Have you seen the Stiched Felt and the Shaker Frames in the SU! Holiday Mini catalog? Just love them! Here are a few samples that I created to display at the Stamp Shack. They also feature the Big Shot die Peakaboo Frames from the Holiday Mini catty.
The SU! DSP used on this card is Letters to Santa. The snowman is from the Stampin' Up! set Merry Winter.
Letters to Santa DSP and the Peakaboo Frames die were also used in this sample. The SU! stamp sets used were Petite Pairs and Tiny Tags.
Here is another sample using the Stiched Felt. This card also features the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP from the Holiday Mini. The stamp is from the SU! stamp set Word Play.
Have you send the adorable fabric that Stampin' Up! has? I know not every crafter likes to sew, so at the beginning of October I offered a class called "No Sew". 4 projects were made using Stampin' Up!'s fabrics which required no sewing. I did have to blow the dust off of my glue gun for this class. Well, that was after I located it in my basement.
Here is the first project that we created. It is a napkin ring that using a portion of the center tube from paper towels roll. The fabric used here is Spice Cake from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog.
The button as well as the Velvet Vanilla Ribbon are also from the Holiday Mini catalog. Sticky Strip was used to attach the fabric to the paper towel tube/napkin ring. I used the glue gun to attach the button and ribbon to the napkin ring.
Another class sample is the Push Pin Board.
This project uses the SU! fabric Timeless Portrait. The base of the board is 2 pieces of the Cork Sheets 6"x12" each attached to the white chipboard from a package of Designer Series Paper using Sticky Strip. The fabric (13.5"x13.5") is attached around the chipboard with Stick Strip. On the back, I have attached a 12x12 sheet of black card stock. Yes, I used Sticky Strip. Love that stuff. The Cherry Cobbler butterfly is cut out with the Big Shot using Beautiful Butterflies die. The stamped image is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set Word Play. I used 1 yard of Black Striped ribbon (Stampin' Up!) at the top of the board and used a glue gun to attach it to the back of the board. I also used the glue gun to attach the butterfly and the tag to the board.
Below is another fabric no sew project.
These circle pins uses the Stampin' Up! fabric Candy Cane Christmas. The Big Shot Die Circle #2 was used to cut out the circles. This die has 4 different size circles. The fabric pack has 3 different fabric designs. All 4 circles were cut out of the 3 fabric designs. There circles were layer on top of each other, slightly off centered from the circle below it. Then the Crop-a-dile was used to cut a hole in the center, catching all 12 circles. A Stampin' Up! Antique Brad was placed in the center to attach all the circles together. Then a pin was attached to the back with the glue gun. A hair clip could have been attached instead of the pin.
And here is the last project that was created in the No Sew Class.
This card uses the Stampin' Up! fabric Deck the Halls. The Stampin' Up! fabric adhesive was used to attach it to the card. A cotton ball was placed under the tree prior to ironing it to the card to puff it up. The tree started out a scallop square that was cut out using the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Bigz Die. The card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper.
I love using Stampin' Up! fabric on my cards and scrapbook pages. It gives it a neat texture and it isn't any more expensive then using ribbon or Designer Series Paper.
