Basic Jumbo Grommets

YAY! I finally had some time to play with Stampin Up's "My Digital Studio" (MDS) and all I can say is WOW! This is one fabulous piece of software! It is so much more than just digital scrapbooking. It can not only create scrapbook pages, cards, calendars, DVD's - with or without music I might add, but can be used as a conceptual tool to plan your papercrafting masterpieces. LOVE that!

Here is a page that I came up with pretty quickly. It was WAY too much fun to do.

Graveyard Gala Meets From the Crypt

When I first saw the Stampin Up 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog, I knew I would have to have these two great Halloween Stamp sets! They are both so much fun and very on trend. This card was a fun one to create.

I wanted the skull image to be faint, but visible, making it look as if the grave was haunted.  I tried using the Bordering Blue ink on he same color cardstock, however, it was too dark. I reached for the Versamark and it was perfect and gave me the look I was after.

The ravens and headstone were cut out and popped up using Dimensionals. You can't tell here but trust me, they were.

The vines were cut using the hobby knife and the headstone was inserted there.

"Gifts of the Earth" by Stampin Up

Here is the sneak peak card I sent out in my newsletter yesterday, however I heard from some of you that you couldn't open it so I'm posting it here for you to see.

A Card for Our Military Using "Courage" by Stampin' Up!

Here is a card that I created using the patriotic Stampin Up stamp set "Courage". When I first saw it in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog, I knew I would end up recreating it. The image just touches you. As a matter of fact, all of the military themed sets on that page are wonderful! A true tribute to the brave men and women who serve our country. We owe each and every one of them a huge thank you!

I tweeked the original card a bit by adding Dazzling Diamonds on the stripes of the flag and Crystal Effects on the goggles. Something I picked up from a friend of mine, Judy DiScipio. I created 2 cards. They are the same with the exception of the star brads. I used both sizes and think they both work.

All materials used are Stampin' Up!
