In January 2007, StarPlayit finalized a partnership with Sibelius Software Ltd (An Avid Company), developers of the world's leading music notation software, to distribute and co-develop StarPlay. The collaboration between the software engineers of both companies incorporated Sibelius's Scorch® technology into StarPlay - the standard for web delivery of sheet music - giving teachers and students the ability to play a massive library of music including their own compositions.
