Hello & Merry Meet!

Sorry it has been a while, but I have had an INCREDIBLY busy and wild few days! MUCH has shifted FOR me and WITHIN me--and I feel like I still have a lot of processing to do!

I've just finished Vending at (and Attending) the 4th Annual Conference for the World Healing Institute (WHI) here in Lovely San Diego! And, BOY, am I ever dizzy today!

Put yourself in my shoes for a moment: I've just spent four Wonderful-yet-mentally intense Days of complete Immersion in a Large group of people (including Psychics, Mediums, Gurus, Channels, Teachers, Energy-workers, Healers, Intuitives, Musicians, Paranormal investigators, etc.) from all over the world who work with/Use HIGH Vibrational energies to help heal & protect this damaged World of ours. Combine all of this with the amazing energies of the Summer Solstice AND the coming Full Moon later this week (complete with lunar eclipse), and you can imagine how overwhelmed (in a GOOD way) I feel today.

Many WONDERFUL new Friends, Readers, and Teachers for Starcrafts have come forth from this experience--and I have learned a GREAT many things about myself from teachers & Gurus who live in all four corners of the map!

And I've learned a lot about the Gifts the Divine Ones have chosen to bestow on me. Which is downright scary! :D

To say I am overwhelmed really doesn't begin to describe it all! I am excited and energized by some of the new awakenings that have happened this weekend, but I believe it is all for the good! The "Greatest Good," in point of fact.

I will try to share the highlights with you in these blog posts--but if you have questions as we go along, please get them to me! I will answer honestly--though I must confess--I still do not understand all that has happened. :D Yet!

I have a feeling I will figure a lot of it out as we go . . .

The Blessings of the New Moon

Thanks for all of the wonderful feedback on my first Blogging experience! The notes, texts, emails, and comments have really inspired confidence! As a result, I will try to Blog often--if you will all promise to get your friends and Family to join the Blog! ;D I love to communicate with my Friends--and this is a way to do so on such a wide scale! Just makes me SMILEY to think on it! As long as I see growth and we are all having a fun time--I promise to keep going!

As I post this, I feel Blessed to have so much in my Life--Beginning with all of you Starcrafters and friends who actually seem to want to know what is going on in my heart and in my head.
What brave Souls you are! ;D

True, times are a little challenging just now. My Rodney (in spite of working HARD to get one) was without a job for almost an entire year. Money is tight in our Household as we struggle to get caught up--and our wonderful store, STARCRAFTS, also struggles to survive. In past weeks, we have lost three dear friends--and have heard of Family members struggling with Health issues.
BUT, I am not complaining. I actually feel Blessed.

Now, before you accuse me of living by a River in Egypt (de Nile)--and before you call the Large fellas who bring padded jackets (with arms that cross in the front) to fit me and take me off to a "quiet place," hear me out . . .

Sometimes--often when our struggles seem the toughest--are when real Blessings reveal themselves. True feelings surface and what is most important to us is made as clear as the shining curve of a crystal Chalice in the candleglow of a "working" altar. On the Path of the Pagan/Wiccan/Witch, we come to realize that we are loved--truly LOVED--by the Divine we hold Dear!

We are given challenges in each Lifetime--but the Divine (in whatever way you experience that Divine) is always with us. We only have to reach out with our hearts and we will feel their Love & Support as we face each difficult lesson we are given--and each difficult lesson we have chosen for ourselves--in this place I like to call "Earth School." We are not EVER alone unless we choose to be! Can you think of better comfort? I sure can't!

We may ask for Help or Blessings that don't manifest--but our words are always heard. :) Sometimes the answer is just, "No." (And many times, that "No" turns out to be the greatest Blessing of all.) Knowing you need no "go-between"--that all you ever have to do is open up and pour out your Heart and you will be heard--is a beautiful Gift of this Spiritual Path! Even when the answer is no!

If you can't feel this with your heart, look to the Night sky! The moon in all of her aspects reassures and reminds us that EVERYTHING in our experience at Earth School moves in cycles. At this point, we are headed for New Moon--a time for new beginnings and for renewing our Spirit/Souls!

This New Moon is a special one for me--for I will be honoring a Dear friend at a Rite she was scheduled to Center (before she Transitioned to the Summerland last April). As I move in that Sacred Space this weekend with others who loved her best, I will feel her wonderful smile in my Heart and know she is with me, swaying to the unseen music as we always did together in Circle. And I know that I will Thank her for the Blessings she gave me in this Lifetime--the greatest of them being the abilities to laugh (even through my tears) & to find the Hidden Blessings of Light (even in the Darkest of moments).

Balance!
My Dear One--now of Blessed Memory--taught me that Balance in everything is what creates stability--and stability allows you a strength that can stand against anything! A dear FB friend in the UK reminded me of this very lesson this morning when she said that we must "embrace the Dark & feel it's power--then flood it with the Light." If we would all choose to do this bit of simple Magick in our daily lives, how much more Peace would we all feel?

Think on that . . .

So, think of me this weekend--if you care to!
As this New Moon arrives on Saturday, I will be feeling the Love of the Divine touch my Heart & I will look to the sky and remember to embrace the Darkness that will add strength to my Spirit of Light!

With a giggle or two of course--just for my Beautiful Shellie of Blessed Memory! ;D

And--I AM BLOGGING! =D Woot!

Many of you--I sense--may be rather unimpressed by this news. :D

You may have seen me Cast a Circle for a Full Moon Rite, or maybe you've watched me teach a LARGE class on Pendulum work, or maybe you have seen me Start a candle spell, or perhaps do Reiki for someone in great Pain.
The simple act of typing out words to Friends and Starcrafters should be completely easy and not remarkable in any way--so why the big deal? Anyone who can do all of this Magickal stuff should be FINE Blogging, right?

WRONG! =D

I am so far outside of my comfort zone right now that my fingers are shaking slightly as I type these words and my heart is racing in my breast. Still, with each word, it gets easier--and my breathing settles down. I am feeling connected to all of you Starcrafters out there and it is a wonderful feeling!

So what is my point to all of this?

Fear. Can. Be. Overcome.
And when it is overcome, AMAZING new opportunities abound!

Many people express to me (on a daily basis) a slight fear of their first explorations into Wicca, Witchcraft, or Paganism--and I thought this would be an excellent topic to use for my first Blog entry. While I am facing down my fear of Blogging, maybe I can help some of you get ready to face down some of YOUR fears of the Craft! How cool would that be? :D

Now, don't get me wrong--LOTS of folks come to this Path with a Joyful heart and NO doubts or fears (they say). They are the Lucky ones--but to be honest--I kind of have a hard time believing that ANYONE would accept ANY New Spiritual Path without at least a few small doubts and questions in their mind.

What is MUCH more normal & realistic, is to find excited "new" Pagans who--in spite of the Joy of finding their way to this Beautiful Spirituality--are wary travellers on this new Path, still a little worried or concerned that they may somehow make a misstep. Or that they may do something WRONG. Or even that they may "lose their way" as they Journey.

Perhaps they've read a lot of books, but have never Cast a Circle or worked a spell. Perhaps they've bought a Divination tool--such as a Tarot deck or Pendulum--but are concerned they are not using it correctly. Perhaps they have created a fear within themselves of being rejected by others "in the Craft" and are avoiding classes or events they REALLY long to attend so they can avoid being "judged" by others on this Path.

Well--I have been a Witch for my ENTIRE Life (taught by a Grandmother who would NEVER have self-identified as a witch) and I can tell you that as long as you follow your instincts and work hard to DO NO HARM, most of those on this Path will help you to release fears and doubts & will Embrace you with open arms.

As will The Divine!
You DO need to be willing to do a bit of hard work, however!

So, what have we seen people struggle with? What are the hardest ideas for most people of this Spirituality to get into their hearts?

#1) Accepting that you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for BOTH your good & bad Spiritual choices/decisions. You are also COMPLETELY responsible for what you do Magickally. We have NO convenient Devil whom we can blame for our bad choices--so we must be constantly mindful, always working to stay ethical and HARM NONE.

#2) Realizing and Accepting that you do not need a "Go-between" to Connect with your Concept of the Divine. Whether you believe in any particular God, Goddess, or a complete and Nameless "All-That-IS," you have the Divine right and privilege to personally connect and work with Them directly--and it is GLORIOUS to do so.

#3) Actually working with what you have read about in books! Casting your first circle or your first spell may be a little intimidating at first, BUT (just like Blogging) that thrill of fear passes quickly--trust me! You just need to DO IT--jump in and do the work with an open and honest Heart--for this is the only way to allow this Spiritual Path of EXPERIENCE to fully Embrace your Spirit!

The Good news is that you do NOT need to take this leap in a vacuum.
YOU AREN'T ALONE ON YOUR NEW PATH!

Unlike the way things were for many of us just a few years ago, there are a few ETHICAL places for you to ask your questions and to learn. Places like Starcrafts, where we are always happy to listen and to help (if we are able)--and where we will always offer classes and Special events with REPUTABLE Teachers who will help you to grow Spiritually in a place of Safety.

So, come on now! I've done my first Blogging and survived it! (I think! ;D)
Now, it is time for YOU to be Brave!
Take a breath and jump outside of your comfort zone and into something WONDERFUL!
