Explorer group line and selection

Hi,

Anyone any idea how to adjust the grouping line color in Vista explorer (which group files)?
Also, only the right arrow of the line gets a button while if you have Vista standard skin, the whole line gets the blue selection button.

Any idea how to adjust that if it's even possible with WB 6?

Hi,

Am finishing my skin and have these last issues I can't solve:

- can I change background color of "explorer tree folder" (probably not but better ask)
- can I change the "favorite links" background (on top of explorer tree folder)? Changing the background does not change the background of the favorite links text, which remains white
- don't know where to change the "command bar" text color

Converting Vista msstyles

Hi! I wan to convert some Vista msstyles to use in WindowBlinds. I found that SKS 5 could do that but I can't download it anywhere from the internet. I could only find sites which gave me SKS4 under the name SKS5. I found the app MSImport but the link posted on this forum was broken. Any help?

Hey guys and girls!

I have designed my dream OS UI, and I downloaded SkinStudio to try and create it as a theme for Window Blinds. I typed in the name of the theme, and then BANG! I didn't have a clue what to do.

If anyone wants to code it for me, or create it whatever it is. Please, please, reply!

More Programs Image won't work

I've downloaded Skinstudio 6.4 and have been working on a skin. I see that you can now use an image for the More Programs mouseover? Does this not work in XP? I've created an image for the mouseover, and it shows in SKS, but doesn't apply. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Hi, I'm unable to workout how you change the text colour/background colour of the bubble that pops out of the taskbar/system tray. Could someone shed some light on this for me? I believe the setting is also used for the text / tips that come up when you hover over an item.

I'm running into a bit of trouble in skinstudio getting the close button (single) to align the way I want. It seems that skinstudio (v6.4) places the lone close button (that is, for popup windows which only have a close button and no min or max buttons) based on the alignment values for the normal close button. I'm using a mac theme, and I want to add sounds to when you click the close/minimize maximize buttons.

I tried using SkinStudio and editing actions, but when i zip it and install it, it doesn't load and goes straight to windows XP.

single close and restore button not showing

Need some heeeeelllllllllp.

Neither button shows when the skin is applied even tho they are both present in SKS6.

The positioning is correct...image states correct.I have other skins that are working correctly so its not WB...its something in the skin.

Have looked thru the code...nothing I can see.

I do notice one diff between this skin and the ones that work...SKS labels those as [skinname.UIS] and this one as just [skinname]...in the taskbar and titleb...

Skinstudio 7 Beta

Since WindowBlinds 7 Beta came out not too long ago, my question if or when will Skinstudio 7 come out? Even a beta would be nice; but because WB7 beta is focusing primarily on compatibility with Windows 7, I don't see a reason why they would come out with a beta for SK7 just yet. And if SK7 comes out soon, like in a few months or something, what would the new UI look like? And what improvements would be made from SK6? I want to hide the program icon on the taskbar buttons, but I can't seem to find if it's possible or not. On the same note, I'd also like to hide the icons in menus and the titlebar. I used to use alternate shells to do this but obviously I'd prefer a native solution.

I'm trying to create a new per pixel skin, but while the SkinStudio preview reflects the changes, applying the skin changes nothing - it always seems to use the UIS2 frames.

Also, I'm wondering if frame borders (left, right, bottom) are a necessary part of the skin. Ideally I'd like to skin the caption only and leave windows borderless, but I can't find the option to offset the caption such that it doesn't paint over the invisible borders.

Hello, i'm new to this so forgive the newbie question, but i've managed to finish a skin, looks good, and everything seemed fine until i opened windows explorer, the background image was waht i wanted, but the fonts had stayed black, making them nearly impossible to read, now i'm not sure how to fix this as i've spent the better part of 3 hours trying before realizing i could ask for help here >.>

Some of the skins I use put a really light font in some portions of web pages. I can't figure out what section controls those fonts. I've put a picture of yahoo mail and the really light fonts that show up. Can someone help me figure out how I can change that within skin studio?

Making a Preview for Windows Blinds

I've created a skin with SKS6, but can't figure out how to get WB to show the small preview of the titlebar above the skins name. I'm assuming it's in the Skin Properties/UIS1 Preview Image? If this is correct, do you just type a name for the preview? A path to the preview? I've tried both and neither works.

I've been racking my brain trying to understand why this wont work. I created a startpanel in Photoshop , cropped each of the 5 parts that make up the whole startpanel, and saved each section as it's own .png image. I then imported the images into SKS 6 Professional and the pieces dont fit together flush. So I tried adjusting the margins and went to the Extra's tab and typed in the image sizes but STILL ....No matter what settings I use, the start panel is distorted. Here are...

I've made some changes to a skin, but messed some things up. How can I get the original .bmp files back for the skin? Why isn't there an "Undo" option for mistakes? I tried the Force Image Reimport but I ended up getting back .bmp files I didn't want, which screwed it up even more. And I went to the root folder itself and tried right-click Undo but that didn't work either. There should be a simple way to go back/undo things. Thanks,

Using SkinStudio 6 on a Vista 64 setup

Cannot assign fonts in "Show me the skin defined system fonts" window

In all of the skins I have downloaded that have no skin defined system fonts defined, I am unable to add a new font so I can assign it to one of the sytem defined items.

When I click the "Add new font" buttton, a blue bar with "System Font - 100" written on it momentarily appears and dissapears in the left half of the window.
