That's quite good for me in only a few days). So, I'm at the point where I want to make it look all nice and everything, so I've come to this site since it's where I came to fix up my XP (wow, though, this site has changed a lot since then!). The thing I'm looking for right now is how to change that s...

<pubDateParsed>2009-12-17T02:28:59-05:00</pubDateParsed>
Changing the Vista startup sound

HEy Guys! Sorry, I'm new here... I'm trying to make some different logon screens for a change, but there are some things I have yet to learn... I know how to put the username banner in the middle of the screen, butto stop it from being a banner, and not something cooler, I dunno yet. whenever I try to insert bitmaps from cooler, more sleek 'n' stylish screens, It's still a banner, but worse looking. I run Vista (think it's 32 bit) on a HP laptop (Pavilion Entertainment). Not sure what might be the issue here. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome. Wondering whether it might have something to do with Defender. All my other stardock programs (apart from IconX which I discovered isn't compatible) seem to work fine.

<pubDateParsed>2009-02-24T08:31:40-05:00</pubDateParsed>
Bootskin not happening

Copy and paste the HTML code for a web widget directly into Amnesty Generator and generate a new Sidebar gadget with the click of a button. They can be exceedingly annoying, yet Microsoft has actually posted begging people NOT to turn it off. However, if you are still using CRT's (and maybe this happens with some LCD screens), the dialogue is accompanied by a very jarring "re-synch" of the monitors. Every time that dialogue box comes up, my first monitor blinks, and my second monitor actually goes into a restart which takes 2 to 3 seco...

<pubDateParsed>2007-02-01T16:24:13-05:00</pubDateParsed>
Make User Account Control Less Annoying on Vista Premium

Vista Preview Our story so far... In 1999, software developer Stardock released a program called WindowBlinds 1.0. It allowed users of Windows 95, 98, and NT to "skin" the way Windows looked and behaved. It not only could make Windows look better, it could make it more functional by adding more buttons and controls to the Windows GUI. The screenshots below may cause pain. But back in 1999, it was this or the default Windows look. In 2001, Microso...

<pubDateParsed>2006-11-17T02:42:25-05:00</pubDateParsed>
WindowBlinds comes to Vista

So what would Windows Vista look like if it were running a Windows XP skin (via WindowBlinds for Windows Vista)?
