I've looked through all the tutorials and haven't been able to find the answer to my question. I know this may sound silly but where do you find the graphics used for the start menus and so forth? Are they all created in Photoshop or a similar program? If so, is there a tutorial out there somwhere that tells how to create them?

im trying to upload my profile picture! but it wouldnt work!
it says its been uploaded succesfuly under the box where you click "browse" to search your files... but above it, it says... "Your upload succeeded, but the image(s) have been corrupted. Please try again."

and yes the picture is the right format (JPG) and size (150X150)

it's been doing this for days, please someone help! thank you sooo much

DesktopX and screenshot submission errors

When I try to load some widgets/objects, I get: "ODZip.dll not found in DesktopX directory or Stardock common files directory." But there IS a file named ODZip.dll in the Stardock\ObjectDesktop\DesktopX folder.

Alright, first things first...download an IRC client. For the purpose of this guide, going to use mIRC. Why mIRC? Because it's simple and doesn't have a bunch of crap bloat that anyone would need anyway.

Download it here.

First you install it obviously, then after it's installed open the mirc.exe.

Next we'll have to add the Stardock server to the server list. Just follow the screenshots and you should be fine.

Hello, new here, my apologies if this is answered somewhere else, I've looked and haven't found the solution yet.

I'm running Windows Ultimate on a quad-core Dell, so the capacity for animated desktops/dreams is innate to my system. I've been enjoying using some of the great dreams which have been offered on this site. Most run with no problem and look awesome. Every now and then I try one which seems "broken" in that all that displays is a static image with no motion/variat...

setiglass and setigreen are two of my favorite skins,used in XP and presently Vista HP SP1. A really nice feature is the rightclick to menubar rolls the window up or down as needed.

Are there anymore skins out there with this feature/ability?

I am very new and saw a demo on youtube for a linux style based interface theme. I just just purchased Object Desktop Ultimate and wondered if anyone can point me to that theme.
Or themes that generally animate your desktop.

I love this application and want to do more with it.

Help with Windowblinds application update

Hello, I was changing font styles in Vista Clear and something went wrong.The error said ( WindowBlinds has stopped running.....). I restarted and my descktop was not all there, and Descktop Window Manager did not start. I went to Impulse to verify windowblinds installation. It said windowblinds is not installed correctly and look for application update. Should I go through and unistall and re-install windowblinds?

BootSkin animation missing

I recently reformatted my computer and re-installed Windows XP Pro with Sp3. When I downloaded BootSkins, it no longer has the animation on boot. The picture is fine, but no animation. I have tried several different bootskins and even uninstalled and re-installed bootskin. Anyone have any ideas as to why the animation will not show during boot?

logon screen problem

I'm kinda new at using logonstudio and tried to make a test logonscreen. It worked but theres like tiny white dots on the wallpaper,only on the color black, that i used and its only showing up when its being applied. The wallpaper is fine but i dont know what to do. Any help is appreciated.
