icons lost in object dock

having problem with icon packer beta ver. 4.98[b].028. Updated to this version when released and lost icons in object dock plus ver. 190 Plus Build 535u when using flyout menus. Not all icons are lost. system icons are fine, just program icons are generic(blank). windows 7 ultimate 64 lastest build all updates applied. Strangely enough, when I first install this program on W7, the version number was 5.01 and worked fine.

please advise

Alright so I installed IconPackager and was about to check it out. I first tried out some of the iconthemes that was already in the program, this made some of the icons to change, while some was the same. Annoyed already...
Anyway, I got myself the "Token" Icons, so I tried them out instead. NOW for some reason I had Token, Windows and the other iconpack I tried out earlier, all at the same time. I tried to go back to the default icons by using "Default Windows icons" or whatever it's...

Icon Packager does not change all icon

I created a Icon Package however not all the icons especially in the Control Panel change. If I apply the Icon Packager package several times, then the do change however some of the other icons in the control panel start dunplicating themselves.

I have purchased the full version and it is the latest Icon Packager 5.

Conversion to Iconpackager

Using the ip package builder takes a lot of time. Does anyone know how to convert non-ip icon packs to iconpackager packs? I installed one through 7tsp which changes the imageres.dll and some other .dll files. Then when I opened the iconpackager program, the windows default pack was now the 7tsp pack. So, I thought I could simply rename it and it would then be a whole new ip. I did so but it didn't work. I'm not sure but I guess the ip program won'...

I recently purchased OD through the christmas sale they were having. I am having this same issue for Windowfx as well as IconPackager. Every time I try to install either, I get the same error. I am using the downloads provided through the "My Downloads" link. I have also tried downloading the installation package again in case it corrupted during the download. Tried disabling firewall and AV to make sure there wasn't some issue that might have been causing AV to act screwy. If I hit ignore, ...

IconPackager won't install new packages

I download and redownload packages from firefox (setting: open with iconpackager), but when the download is complete iconpackager comes to the focus but then just doesn't do anything. no new package shows up. am i doing something wrong? no one else seems to have this problem. i only have 3 packages!

Problem with reinstallation

Recently i renew my object desktop. When i try to reinstall icon packager i get next message: uninstallation previus version, and then i get pop up window - Installation package for the Icon packager can not be found. try installation again using valid copy of the installation packager IconPackager.msi. I once needed to uninstall Iconpackager for maintenance purposes and it warned me that it would remove all icon changes upon removal.

Now when I want to install the new version over the old install. It pops up an uninstall prompt. If I do say yes, will it negate all my changes so I can update or not? Because I would hate to go through the trouble of assigning individuals icons again as i never use packs...

Swf files and Mp3 problem?

IP Not working on shortcuts

Hey guys,

Is anyone else having problems using IP with shortcuts on Win7 x64?

I tried to change a few Desktop icons (these are shortcuts), right click on the shortcut/icon, select "Change Icon" and ... PRESTO!! ... Nothing happens. No error, no navigation/browser window, nothing...

Any ideas?

Can't uninstall or modify error code 2343

i tried uninstalling iconpackager and i get error code 2343. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. it was working fine a few days ago and now it doesn't do anything at all. i can't open it, uninstall it, or repair it.

Repair Shell Icons

Is IP's 'repair shell icons' feature functional in Win7 (64bit)? I still get default folder icons in Office 2010 Open dialogs after selecting/applying the option, in a few other places as well.

Icons don't change sometimes

When I change icon packs, sometimes old folders' icons don't change. For example, if I have 5 folders in D: when I change icon pack, they don't change but if I create a new folder, icon of package is become folder's icon. Is it because I'm using shareware version?

Hi..

I've just performed a format and reinstall of Windows 7 SP1 x64 and Impulse is telling me that i'm unable to install IconPackager v4.21 as it's incompatible with my OS.

When did this happen as it was working perfectly fine before I reinstalled Windows?

If someone could let me know of a workaround to install IP that would be great as I do kinda rely on it for many custom icons.

I have a full license for the application.

Problem with reinstalling

When I try to reinstall Iconpackager, the program (install wizard?) gives me three options: "Modify Available Options", "Repair Application" and "Uninstall".

The first two options give me an error reading: "Error - The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2343."

The third option gives me an error reading: "Error - Could not access network location \Resources."

When I try to apply a new Icon package, it changes everything except the folders

I'm Running Windows 7 64-bit

I've changed my icons multiple times using the same icon packager version 4.20

I started to use the icon package 'Slicer Vista' and since then everytime I try to apply a new package it changes all the icons except the folder icon, which is REALLY annoying. I've tried to rebuild the icon cache, repair shell icons and images and nothing works.

IconPackager won't replace small folder icons

Hey All,

IconPacker will replace the small folder icons if I view them via My Computer, as seen below:

However, if I view the folders through a 'prompt for file location' box (such as File>Open or File>Save), the folders remain the old WindowsXP default.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I came to this forum to find solution how to fix my win 7 default icons after Icon Packager crewed it and have found nothing (i mean no solution) but a lot of boring flame when i side shaming stardock. and another side defending it, and no one bothering to find the way to restore icons.

After googling i did not found any solution at another sites so i have no choice but discover it myself. 1 hour and i did it, and wondering why Stardock aint posted pined topic with the way how to restore...

I installed IconPackager 5.0 Trial Shareware on my Win7 Sp1.

Played with some icons packages. It's all right! No tricks, everything works smooth.

First issue:

Only one thing which makes me nervous is that I can't see nowhere an option to restore default Win7 icons.

Yes, I can see Win7 Default Icons Package in "Look & Feel>Icon Packages" Menu but I want to know if there is an option to cancel changes made by IconPackager and resto...
