Artists Edition 2 theme - win7 version?

I recently bought a HP dv6-1260se Artist's Edition 2 laptop. It came with several preloaded custom programs such as Stardock's Mycolors for a custom designed interface that matches the rest of the laptops outside motitf. The laptop is currently running Windows Vista 64bit

I really want to upgrade to Windows 7 once my HP upgrade package gets here, but I also want to keep the theme that mycolors gives it. As far as I've read in this forum, it looks like several mycolors themes...

Problem with icons after removing Think Green theme

Hi guys,

I installed the software in my HP Mini Windows 7 Starter netbook and applied the Think Green theme on my system. After viewing it, I realized I didn't like it so I reverted back to normal. However, I noticed that the folder icons (i.e., My Documents, My Chat Logs) were still using the icon from the Think Green theme, and also the icon for my Word 97-03 documents was replaced by a blank paper. Gadgets not working

Running vista 32-bit. Cannot get any gadget to work on think green theme, cavaliers theme or ohio state theme! The media player gadget will come up on the screen on the ohio state theme, but will not work. On the cavaliers theme, it shows up in system tray, but that's it. Any suggestions?

It seems that the Green Theme when installed now dosent let Impulse open !

I currently have the green theme installed via my colors and also implulse, but when I got to open impulse, it

flash's quickly but is gone and dosnt open, it appears in the task bar but wont open

I am wondering if my colors theme might be preventing it from opening ???

Ok so i know that MyColors is compatiable with windows 7, but for some reaason anytime i go to add a .suit file, through theme manager i get an error message saying

"This verison of MyColors is not supported on pre-release versions of Windows 7. An updated version will be available as Windows 7 moves closer to release."

The problem with that is paid retailed price to get my copy of windows 7 so i know for a fact that it isnt the pre release version, so does any1 have any idea as to why thi...

MyColors, fences, and windows 7 starter

I installed fences because I wanted to get all of my icons to dissapear off of my desktop, then I installed mycolors because I wanted to be able to change my background in windows 7 starter, the theme will change, but not the background... Any ideas?

wallpaper problem

i have been able to change just the wallpaper with the green theme the only problem i run into is all my wallpaper pictures become stretched to fit the screen....how can i fix this, keep in mind i am very new to computers and would need a step by step break down to fix it myslef

Wallpaper Won't Change on Windows 7

When I try to apply a new wallpaper, nothing happens. The wallpaper is stuck as the default Windows 7 one.

Nothing changes except my wiggets and desktop background!!!

Everytime I reapply my theme. (Dragon Theme) Nothing changes but the background and the wiggets pop up. NOTHING else changes!!!

I thought maybe I could find what was wrong with it, so I opened mycolors and double clicked on the dragon theme. Then this window poped up showing me all the different things I could add, and at the bottom, underneith where is it says Theme manager (Object Desktop) the only check boxes that are there are for the wiggets! (weather and clock) T...

I just got a new laptop. the HP dv6 1260se Artist Edition, I didn't realize when I decided to get it that it came with the coolest MyColors matching theme, it's a great theme, just gorgeous!!! My compliments to the designers!!!!

But i do have a question - It seems to have installed just fine, but I thought even free themes required a registration number??

I get the message: Stardock Weather.ocx is not registered. Contact Starduck My Colors for help.

How do I stop picture stretching

We just installed MyColors and like the versitility it gives our Windows 7 Starter machine. To us it wasn't worth buying the upgrade to Windows 7 Home Edition.

The question we have is how to keep MyColors from stretching a "portrait" picture and distorting it. What I did as a fix was to create a blank black picture at the resolution of our screen and then paste in the portrait picture trimmed and re-sized to fit.

Is there an easier way?

HP Envy theme problems

Hello --

I really like the HP Envy theme that comes with the Envy 15, but it seems to create performance problems after a while. Right now, for instance, my cursor stutters and drags when I pass it over the minimize/maximize/close buttons on the top of any window.

The only way I've been able to solve the problem is to unistall/reinstall MyColors. But then the problem comes back...

Image Viewer Background color.

Hi, some days ago I downloaded My Colors to try it out and then applied the Sins of a Solar Empire theme, which looked pretty good. However, it changed the background color of the Windows 7 Image Viewer from the typical white to some kind of light brown, and it won't go back to white even if I change the theme to windows default.

Could you please help me to change the background color of the Windows 7 Image Viewer back to white?

Windows update page fails to load when using mycolor themes.

Ive been using mycolors(alienGUIse) for quite awhile now, and i noticed a huge problem. windows update page wont load while using a mycolor theme, when i revert back to windows theme everything is normal. Any1 have a solution for this?

Clocks will not work

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS and I downloaded the My Colors app. I installed the Halloween and Winter Wonderland themes they both work fine except for the clocks that came with both. The clock gadgets come up but they do not keep the time if you close the gadget and reopen it it will display the current time but that is it it will not continue to track time. The weather gadget that comes with both themes work fine it is just the clocks, any ideas?

Cannot Download New MyColors Music Theme

Try as I might I cannot download this new theme, No problem entering serial number in both Impulse and MyColors but when It always shows download failed.

It is in the registration cache with the proper seiral number;

Can I use wba styles with mycolors?

is there a way to use windowsblinds styles with mycolor.

In the past I have purchased some featured skins, but the i have unistalled windowblinds because kept crashing on my pc.

My colors works fine, but i would like not to pay again for the same styles, is there a way to use a wba file with mycolors?

Problem with menu

I just installed the Camaro My Colors Scheme. Everything works well with the exception the menu items (buttons) that show up when you click My Computer (File, Edit, View, Tools, etc..). MyColors stopping Windows update running on Vista!

As an Impulse affiliate and Stardock supporter this worries me a great deal. It seems like on some Windows Vista systems, MyColors can stop Windows update from working from the control panel. I've got one friend/customer who can reproduce this issue. When MyColors is disabled, her Windows update works fine, when it's enabled, it fails.

How To Restore Default Folder Icons on Desktop (Win7-64bit)

I installed MyColors on Windows 7 64-bit and applied a theme. After noticing a problem with the title bar on IE (missing Min, Restore/Max, Close buttons) I tried to revert to Aero. Everything looks ok except the folders I have on my desktop still have the theme applied. This isn't true for folders other than the ones on my desktop. Well I had decided putting off installing all my Stardock apps till Win 7 had been officially out for a bit. Now that it is am wondering have people ran into any issues with the latest build of MyColors and Win 7 x64 or with any of the other Stradock apps for that matter?
