In our local school district, it’s $7,600 per student.

Mind you, this is just the state’s contribution to it. That doesn’t count other sources (local and federal for instance). The total amount is allegedly $12,000 per student.

Next time someone yells about the “Slashing” of a few hundred dollars per student, we’re talking a tiny percentage cut.

For a while now I have taken issue with the broken patent & IP system we currently have where a few oligarchs strip ever more of our rights in order to maintain government mandated monopolies. The systems' stated intent is to promote invention and development by preventing the richest largest corporations from exploiting independent inventors and the populace. Over the past couple of months, there has been quite a bit of speculation that Obama’s birth certificate holds a secret, one of which that he is not a natural born citizen therefore not eligible to be President of the United States. The Republican field is somewhat weak, and right now it may seem somewhat dysfunctional, but I've come to the conclusion that I, and everyone else have been too picky on which candidate is best.
