This is a hard post to write but I think it is time. I started Star Impulse in February 2010, it was so much fun, I love reviewing products and connecting with readers but time passes, life happens, and I became more and more inconsistent with posts. Without consistency you lose readers and potential products to review, like Star Impulse did. Truthfully, I love writing but product reviews are not really my passion anymore. Even though it seems easy it is a lot of work -- connecting with the companies, keeping track of the items, trying the items, and then reviewing them. Right now I am trying to focus on other things. Not sure if you guys know this already but I'm originally from NJ and I moved to California to pursue a career in entertainment. I currently do stand up comedy and have been traveling a lot for that, this summer I've been to San Francisco, Denver and in September I'll be in Boston and Flagstaff -- so it is hard to focus on reviewing products and also telling jokes and planning tours. I love Star Impulse and the readers so, so, so much and I hate doing this, but I feel like you guys deserve better. You don't deserve a rushed product review or a sloppy one and I find myself almost doing that sometimes. So, with a heavy heart, this is goodbye. Don't fret though because I'll still be on the internet. I'm going to keep my healthy living/fitness/life blog State of Motion and when I discover awesome products and such I will post them on there. I also have a personal website KellyMcInerney.net where I update all my stand up, hosting, writing, podcasting stuff. I do still write for Cinelinx and host for Afterbuzz. Hey everyone, we all love online shopping right? To be honest, I feel like the older I get the more I get into it. It is way easier when you have a busy lifestyle to just go to the computer really quickly, browse and order versus going to the store or the mall. That is why I was very excited to browse To Save. To Save is a shopping site that has almost anything -- from car phone chargers to wedding dresses -- seriously this place has almost everything.

I didn't go too, too crazy with my selection but wow did I get lost in browsing for a bit. I decided just on these three items:

A crop top that says "psycho," a shirt with a great back cutout, and a little tripod.

All of these are very important additions to my life for me: The psycho shirt just reminds me of one of my favorite movies "American Psycho," also I have been pretty proud of my body lately and have been rocking some crop tops; the back one is, well I love anything with cool backs, so I had to have it; and the mini tripod, probably the one that makes the most sense, I do stand up and want to try recording more sets and now I can with this little baby tripod.

All three of these items came to a total of less than $10 which is crazy. The psycho shirt was $3.88, the long sleeve shirt was $4.79, and the tripod was $1.77. Wowie zowie.

One thing is the fabric of the shirts are a little weird. I thought the back shirt was going to be more sweater-like but instead it just looked like a really ill-fitting shirt, this one was the most disappointing. The sleeves were a little, off it looked like it was too boxy and unflattering for me in the front.

But this is the type of website where you're not 100% disappointed because it was crazy cheap. And the Psycho shirt looks great AND the tripod is perfect for on the go quick recordings. The tripod you can only use sideways though, I tried to tilt it so my phone is normal but it fell. The phone just squeezes in there and it's pretty easy.

Overall, I think the website is pretty awesome. I definitely recommend checking out the website. If you wanna shop, need to get someone a little something, or have something in mind they may have it.

Bouchard's Cheesecake Bites Review!

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a fun weekend! I've been pretty busy lately but very excited to tell you about Bouchard's cheesecake bites. Bouchard is a delicious chocolate company that has a variety of delicious sweets and of them is their variety of cheesecake bites!

They have three amazing flavors: dulce de leche, strawberry, and chocolate fudge.

I really loved these treats. They're the perfect size to just kick that sweet tooth craving that you have late at night -- at least I do! I actually ended up bringing them to a pool party I had and they disappeared faster than me cannon-balling into the pool.

It's hard to choose a favorite flavor, I don't even like white chocolate but the strawberry one still tasted great. They all have a hard chocolate shell and are filled with either strawberry, chocolate, or caramel and a little bite of cheesecake in the center. I didn't feel like the bites were very cheesecakey, I was honestly expecting it to taste more like it, but either way they still were very sweet and very delicious.

Overall, they're a great little treat, I definitely recommend checking them out.

I received the eBook for the Vegan Ketogenic Diety by Sam Kuma. I know what you're thinking "what is ketogenic?" well let me explain it to you: A Ketogenic diet is a fat based diet that aims at controlling the carbohydrate intake. It aims at helping people shed excess weight.

The book is pretty thorough and lists simple recipes that anyone can make -- which is great because I suck at cooking. I haven't made any of the recipes yet because I'm going to go out of town tomorrow and I know I'm not going to be sticking to this diet but when I come back I'm diving into diet mode.

They start you off with a 15 day meal plan though which is very cool because I love working with a schedule and with order if that makes sense. Some of the items you can make are: Cheesecake breakfast bars, Tofu Scramble, and Keto Hummus.

They all have honestly pretty simple ingredients and instructions. Just sticking to it is the hardest part.

Overall, I can't wait to try this out, I'll keep you guys posted!

Chewy March Review!

Hey everyone, another month another Chewy treat review! Chewy is a great website that has a variety of treats for you special buddy, whether it's a cat or a dog. I always love getting Chewy treats and giving them to my lil nephew Delly.

Don't worry! He broke a nail so he's fine and the cast is off now, but gosh what a cutie, right?

This month I received their Primal Treats and Purina Beyond Cutlets.

The Primal Treats have a variety of benefits and taste delicious, some key facts are:

Human-grade treats for both dogs and cats are crunchy and have an irresistible flavor
Made with a single source protein and without preservatives, added salt, or added sugar, they are the kind of snack dogs and cats can rally behind
Produced using turkey raised in the United States for a high protein and healthy delicacy

These treats are great because they're made for both dogs and cats. I gave one to Delly the other day and he excitedly jumped around after eating it. They're a little bigger than quarter-sized which is a perfect size for Delly.

The next were the Purina Beyond Cutlets. I wasn't expecting these to be so big so I had to break them apart for Delly because he's a lil' guy. They are also pretty hard, too -- similar to the texture of pigs' ears. Some key facts for these guys are:

ClariSpray Review!

Hi everyone, it is that time of the year where seasons are changing, it is getting warmer out! But with the change of the weather, plants growing, and flowers blooming, comes some colds. Fortunately the makers of Clartin have created ClariSpray! I received the opportunity to review this thanks to BzzAgent!

ClariSpray is a nasal allergy spray that helps with nasal congestion, running and/or itchy nose, and sneezing. It also gives you 24 hours of relief!

Simply, clean the bottle, shake it, and spray it into each nostril. It's very easy to use and the results are great. Just remember that since it is 24 hour relief only use it once a day!

I'm very weird with nose things, after I spray these I immediately want to scratch my nose, blow it, and just make it feel better even though those two things are the things you are definitely not supposed to do after using a nasal spray. I'm sure many people feel the same so if you want to find a way to not want to immediately blow your nose -- distract yourself!

It helps with all allergens from pets to plants. So if you have an allergy to something this spray can sure help you out! I don't deal with many allergies but I gave it to my friend who suffers HARD in the spring and it helped her out a ton. BzzAgent even gave me a coupon and I gave her one, too!

Blog Update!

Hi guys! I know I don't really talk much about myself personally on here except in reviews relating to things but I felt like I should make a little post because of the lack of reviews lately. I love writing this blog even though I have been slacking lately I have just been busy with other work stuff. I'm actually prepping to go to SXSW for my other job at Cinelinx. I also am a stand up comedian and perform in LA constantly so I am usually working doing that. (You can check out my website here, if you want ;) ) I've also just been trying to write more scripts and stuff for sketches and specs. Sometimes it can get hard to time manage everything so one thing isn't getting left behind and I'm sorry about that. Hope you all are doing well. I will be going to SXSW this weekend so I can't guarantee any reviews then but hopefully the week after I should have some goodies for you! But until then, how are you guys? What do you guys do? What do you like to do for fun? Some things I like to do when I'm not doing comedy is running/going to the gym, watching movies, and writing just for myself, haha. Let's get to know each other! Lee Stafford's Chopstick Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone, hope your week is going well! I have been trying to get into more girly products, not going to lie. I'm all about face masks and trying out new lip sticks and eyeshadows, just trying to dive into the beauty world you know? So I was very excited to try Lee Stafford's Chopstick styler. This is one of the number one best selling curling wands from the UK and has crazy awesome reviews on amazon and all over the web.

I have to reiterate I am very new at styling my hair. I do straighten it a lot because I'm lazy and straightening my already almost-straight hair is very easy. The truth is though is I have always wanted to try out curls. I have always wanted those Penny Lane curls, oh you don't know what I'm talking about? Here's a picture of what I want:

Yeah man, that's the dream look. But I am a newbie, and after watching 1.5 beauty video tutorials I came up with 3 new burns on my hand and this:

Not my worst look, to be honest, but not as curly as I hoped. Honestly, though I was too impatient. I was trying to do it during my break at work but didn't realize how much hair I had and thus how much time I needed. The wand also does come with a glove but I thought I could handle it without (I could not). Honestly though, I really did have fun using this.

It was literally my first time in my life using a curing wand and this was the first result, not bad. Also the wand heats up VERY fast. With my hair straightener I would plug it in and let it warm up while I'm like brushing my teeth or something because it takes a few minutes. This wand though? SUPER FAST. I love that because I don't have much time/impatient so that was perfect.

The wand also has a ceramic coating on it to protect it and keep your hair looking healthy, smooth, and super silky. It also has a 2 year warranty!

Overall, I really did like this wand and plan on practicing more and more until I reach Penny Lane level. New year, new you right? Definitely check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Youcopia Storage Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! I know life is busy and it can be hard to keep organized. Thankfully companies like Youcopia are here to give you a hand. Youcopia sells a variety of kitchen storage items that are so crafty and save so much space.

I received the Drawer StoraStack, StoreMore Bakeware Rack, and the SpiceLiner to review.

The drawer StoraStack is perfect for tupperware items. Sometimes these can get so messy, or you put them in little boxes but it's always hard to find what top goes with what bottom. Fortunately things got a little easier. StoraStack contains two clip dispensers can be positioned as needed to hold two container stacks in place. Individual slots keep matching lids upright so everything stays tidy and easy to find. It was also easy to set up. I liked this one a lot, it didn't take too long to put up and it just made my cabinet look so neat.

The StoreMore Bakeware rack is also equally awesome. It gives you dividers that you can put on the board where you need them, whether it's for a larger item or not there are enough holes on the board to fit just the right size. One dilemma for me is that vertically the items were too big to fit in my cupboard -- my cupboard isn't tall enough. So while I thought this product was awesome I might have to give it to a friend so they can use because it doesn't fit in my storage area, I may still use it for smaller items though like the smaller cupcake pans because I do like it, so we will see!

Lastly the SpiceLiner, I have to admit was my least favorite item. I didn't feel like the liner really kept the spices steady, some still rolled around. I also don't really have a drawer where I keep my spices, I usually keep them out. But I am sure if you keep them in a drawer and you do have space this can work excellently for you, though heads up it does work better with more square shaped spice bottles.

Overall, I really did for the most part enjoy the organizational products from Youcopia, it made storing items so much easier for me. Definitely check them out they have a huge selection of various storage products. Whether you're moving soon or just want to freshen up your kitchen just because they definitely will have something you like!

Hey everyone! I just finished catsitting over the holidays and not going to lie, kind of miss Buffy. I like to think I'm the cool Aunt to Buffy because thanks to Chewy I always bring her a little gift. Chewy is a great website that has a variety of treats for you special buddy, whether it's a cat or a dog.

I received the Petstages Tower of Tracks and man did Buffy LOVE it.

I wish I could attach a video of her playing with it but she really had a lot fun. I always get nervous with toys like this because I'm not sure if it'll catch their eye as much as scratching posts that smell like catnip do but never fear she was all about it!

There's three rows of balls for your cat to just swat around and have fun with. The tower also has non-skid pads so it won't move while your cat plays.

It's a really fun toy and very reasonably priced at less than $10 ($9.79 to be exact). Just fair warning, maybe put it in a different room at night if you're trying to sleep. I was sleeping with the door open and late at night I just heard the wacking of those balls and it woke me up, haha.

Once again Chewy does not disappoint, they're always so great and fun! Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!
