Michael's Seasons Popped Crisps Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for Michael's Seasons you may remember that I've reviewed for them in the past and you can check out those reviews here. now they have a new, delicious snack! Black bean popped crisps! And they sent me all three flavors to review.

The flavors are:
Nacho Cheese
Sea Salt
Roasted Red Pepper

I loved all of these flavors. They're all so unique and different. They fit every savory mood, whether you want something spicy, cheesy, or salty, they got it. I think the Roasted Red Pepper might be my favorite though just because it is such a unique flavor and just enough spiciness to hit that hot kick.

I love black beans and love that these crisps are made with them because they compliment the flavors so well, especially the roasted red pepper mixed with the black beans. It is so good. Some other great facts about these incredibly delicious crisps: they're made with all natural ingredients, there's no preservatives, no artificial colorings or flavorings, no hydrogenated oils, no msg, wheat free and gluten free!

Also they're popped not fried so that means low sodium, reduced fat, because they're made with black beans they also have protein and fiber.

Definitely check out Michael's Seasons! They have a variety of delicious snacks with incredible flavors. They're also fairly healthy for you too and still taste just as delicious if not more so. That's one negative with these crisps -- they're so addictive!

Hey everyone! My next review is for Xlear. Xlear us a great company that has a variety of oral hygiene and health related products. They sent me a load of products to try in the mail.

The products I received are:
Spry Mints
Spry Gum
Kids Clear Nasal Spray
Xylo Sweet Natural Sweetener

Let me explain more about the products. The Spry products are perfect for dental health. They're made with Xylitol. Xylitol is a sweetener that occurs naturally. It can be found, for instance, in berries, fruit, vegetables and mushrooms. It helps reduce the risk of tooth decay. They're also very hydrating and refreshing. They're also GMO free. I like them because they taste like regular gum and mints but they help with tooth decay so that's an awesome plus. I love the mint flavors just because that spearmint taste gives me a nice clean feeling in my mouth. The gum also lasts pretty long too.

The Xylo Sweet Natural Sweetener is really great, too. As the website says: "Xylitol is the sweetest of all the natural bulk sugar substitutes. It is currently used in many sugar-free products and is increasingly gaining acceptance as an alternative sweetener due to its role in reducing the development of dental cavities. Xylo-Sweet is just as sweet and tasteful as table sugar, has 1/3 fewer calories, and has NO net carbs! It has a glycemic index of only 7, and is safe for diabetics and hypoglycemics because it metabolizes without insulin." I liked this, I added it to my tea and it sweetened it up just like sugar, it really didn't taste any different. Definitely a great alternative to sugar or all of those artificial sweeteners because it's all natural and tastes just as good!

The Nasal Spray also has a the active ingredient of Xylitol and they help cleanse sinus and nasal passage. They also wash away pollutants, irritants, and airborne contaminants. Soothes and moisturizes dry, irritated nasal passages due to low humidity, pollutants, overuse of nasal decongestants and other nasal irritations. It's safe for all ages and proves fast-acting relief. I didn't have a congested nose recently but one of my roommates did and used this nasal spray and it really helped them. Just because it's for kids doesn't mean adults can't use it either. It's just safe for all ages.

Overall, Xlear is a great company with a variety of great oral and nasal care products. Definitely check them out, they have great products and you definitely won't be disappointed.

ShaveWell Company Fog Free Mirror Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for The ShaveWell Company. They have an awesome fogless mirror, perfect for shaving in the shower or trying to get all that makeup off, which is what I do, haha.

The fogless mirror is really easy to set up but for me it didn't stay fogless. I had to continue to wet it under the water. It's pretty easy though and usually does stay fogfree for a while. But this is how the mirror usually works:

Most houses are kept in a temperature range of 70-75 degrees. The average shower water temperature is 107.5 degrees. Fog on a mirror is simply condensation. The air in the bathroom is heated by the shower and becomes saturated with moisture. When this saturated moist hot air comes in contact with the shower shave mirror (which is still at normal room temperature roughly 30 degrees less), the moisture comes out of the air and condensates on the shower shave mirror surface. When you hold your Shave Well mirror under the shower stream for a few seconds, the acrylic mirror will warm up allowing for the temperature of the moist air and the mirror itself to equalize. Once you have held the mirror in the shower spray to equalize the temperature of your shower and the mirror, there can’t/won’t be any fog/condensation.

The mirror stays on a hook which has an adhesive that you stick to the shower. It stays up very well.

I use the mirror to make sure all the makeup is off my face at night but it's great for guys to shave their faces. I like that it's small too because I plan on moving in a few months so it will be really easy to pack and put up in another shower. Sometimes showers aren't too big either, so it's the perfect size for all showers and you still get to see your face.

Overall, I really like this mirror it's such a great idea and comes in handy. The fog-free capability is just awesome, too!

Tasc Performance Fitness Apparel Spring 2012 Collection Review!

Hey everyone! My next review is for Tasc Performance Fitness Apparel. You may remember I did a review for them in the past and you can check it out here. Well it may be still winter but spring is just around the corner, Tasc has you covered with some really awesome spring 2012 fitness apparel!

First off, I love the colors. Previously, I was sent a bright mint green top to review and every time I go to the gym wearing it I get compliments on it because it's such a pretty color. Tasc just knows how to make workout clothes pop with their colors and these two are no different.

I absolutely love the top. It's bright orange, long sleeved, and even has little thumb holes on the sleeves. It's perfect for the outdoorsy sports you do in the spring like hiking and biking. I'm going hiking this weekend or next weekend and I am totally rocking this shirt. It's really flattering too, not too tight but tight enough for working out.

The shorts on the other hand I'm a bit hesistant about. They actually look a lot better on then not on. I thought they were like booty shorts but they do stretch. I'm not a huge fan of pink and it's almost a little see through, I was wearing dark underwear and you could see them when I wore these. I feel like if these shorts were black I would love them or a darker color but I just am not feeling the pink. They are pretty comfortable though! And go really well with the top. The waistband is the same orange color as the top. Pretty cool! The shorts actually probably work really well with leggings underneath them when you work out in cold conditions too and spring can be a little cold still.

I never understood why wear shorts and a long sleeve top until I moved out to California, sometimes there's days where the weather is in the middle and one part of you is hot while the other part is cold. That's what's great about this outfit. It's great for SoCal hiking or biking.

Tasc is a great company. Their products are actually made with Bamboo Performance Technology that is perfect for all seasons. Yup, actual bamboo! They're lightweight, moisture-wicking so they dry super fast even when you sweat a lot, breathable, and stretches 4 ways. They're also odor free and UPF 50+ which is perfect for an lovely, sunny day hiking. You won't have to worry about a sunburn ruining your fun. That's why I think the shirt is long sleeved to to help prevent against UV Rays.

Definitely check out Tasc! Their fitness clothes are so comfortable and great for working out in any conditions. I love them. If you're looking to crack down on working out and getting some new gear, this is the place to start!

Lucky Leaf Pie Fillings Valentine's Day Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for Lucky Leaf Pie Fillings! You may remember I reviewed some of their pie fillings before and you can check them out here.

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and Lucky Leaf is prepared to give you some delicious dessert ideas to bake for your special someone! I was sent some delicious apple pie filling to make the Ginger Apple Tart and strawberry filling to make the Chocolate Strawberry Rum Ganache Cake (on the website it says cherry but you can make it with strawberry filling, too.)

Both of these cakes are amazing, let's start with the one I made first the Chocolate Strawberry Rum Ganache Cake. This cake is incredible. It is soooo good. One negative, I have reason to believe that the picture on Lucky Leaf's website is photoshopped because mine ended up looking like this:

The top part of the cake ended up sticking to the top of the cake pan so I scraped it off and put it on top then poured the ganache sauce all over. The ganache sauce was actually a lot more than expected so it kind of spilled over. It was messy yes, but it was very, very, very, very delicious! The ganache called for rum but I used Jim Beam instead and it worked perfectly. My roommate liked it but said it wasn't too chocolately, but I like of liked it like that. You could really taste the strawberries and it is such a unique and delicious flavor. It is also just as addicting as regular chocolate cake and I may have eaten it for breakfast. I also gave some to my friend because the way I was going with eating it I would be fat in no time. It is sooo good though!

Next up the Ginger Apple Tart. I didn't have a tart pan or a star-shaped cookie cutter, so I improvised. I used a spring-form pan and I cut a star on the top. Needless to say it looked a lot prettier than the ganache cake but also tasted extremely delicious.

I literally just made this tart now and it said to wait one hour to cool and I just couldn't. I'm super glad I didn't either. It looks like your average apple pie right? Well, you are sorely mistaken. The ginger really gives it a kick, and it's sweet and delicious. Another unique flavor but it's almost a mind explosion because your mind thinks apple pie but then you get this incredibly delicious ginger flavor. I'm also pretty relieved that the spring form pan worked.

Overall these desserts are incredible and perfect for not just Valentine's Day but every day. I just hope my roommates help me out with finishing the ginger apple tart because seriously, it is too good I don't know if I'll be able to control myself.

Definitely check out Lucky Leaf pie fillings, they're made with actual apples and strawberries and contain no high fructose corn syrup and they're just incredibly delicious. Their recipes are insane, too, definitely make these if you want to switch up you're desserts. You won't be disappointed!

New Balance NBx Technical Sock Review!

Hey everyone! My next review is for New Balance's awesome new NBx Technical Socks. The Technical series is dedicated to the most demanding athletes of the world and the NBx branch is specifically for runners.

The socks I received are:
NBx High Density Quarter Socks
NBx Technical Low Cut Made in USA socks
NBx Technical Women's Low Cut

I am not a hardcore runner though I do try running on the treadmill at least twice a week, I do do other fitness regimens throughout the week and wore the socks during them. I have to say they're all pretty awesome.

The High Density ones are the white ones and are one of the thickest running socks on the market right now. These quarter socks feature high-density cushioning, helping to protect your feet from shock with every step. Arch support and specialized toe seams work to keep your feet moving comfortably all day long. They are perfect for the winter and really do keep your feet cushioned and comfortable I really enjoyed these not just for running but also just hanging around the house and needed to keep my feet warm.

The Low Cut Made in the USA ones were great too. I used these when I ran on the treadmill. The New Balance Technical NBx Low Cut sock is engineered with Stability Fit Arch Support and Hold compression technology and moisture-wicking fibers to perform the way you need it in training and on race day. In addition, this sock is strategically cushioned at specific strike zones for extra comfort. Sometimes my feet blister from running because of uncomfortable socks not fitting properly in my shoes but there was no blistering problem when I wore these babies and ran for an hour. They're so comfortable. Plus it is pretty awesome that they're made in the USA too.

Lastly, the Women's Low cut ones are very similar to the Made in the USA ones but has a much, much cooler pattern. It's pink, grey, and white, you can tell they're women's socks but they're not super girly either. This high-performance low-cut sock features moisture management and light compression arch support, plus a seamless toe and an extra-comfortable heel. I really liked these. I wore them during Zumba and Body Pump and they really fit to my shoe and were very comfortable.

Also, even though they're just socks, socks specifically engineered for fitness kind of motivates you more to work out, right? At least it did for me. After receiving these socks I made it a point to specifically go to the gym and use them to make sure they actually do what they claim. Plus it makes you feel cool, getting fitness socks, it's like you're almost a professional athlete! I'm a girl and little things like new work out clothes and socks really push me to work out more, what can I say?

These socks are awesome, even if you're not a runner, definitely check them out. Enough of those holey socks you've been hanging onto, you need knew ones! They're really comfortable and perfect for the gym. Check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Jo-Sef's Gluten Free Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for Jo-Sef's Gluten Free. Jo-Sef's Gluten Free is a great company that sells a variety of delicious gluten free cookies. They're delicious gluten free but also kosher, egg free, cholesterol free, lactose free, peanut free, additive free, and preservative free!

Typically I am a little hesitant with gluten free or healthy alternative cookies and snacks. They always don't taste right. But I was super surprised with these. They didn't taste at all like cardboard! I wasn't a huge fan of the vanilla flavored ones because I'm not a huge vanilla fan but all the others were sooo good! The Cinnamon and Chocolate O's were so great and sweet. They were filled with creamy deliciousness too. I usually twist them apart and eat the cream separately, so I was wary hoping the creaminess tasted good and it did! I noticed though the cream wasn't as thick as oreo's but it definitely hit the spot. The chocolate squares were so good too, really sweet and rich.

Gluten Free doesn't always have to mean tasteless like many gluten free cookies I've tasted in the past. Yeah, sure it won't taste as sweet as some chocolate cookies that are loaded with terrible ingredients and preservatives. But they taste really good. I noticed myself slowly becoming addicted to the Chocolate animal cookies. First of all I love animal crackers and basically anything animal related like that so they won me over but they just become so addicting much like regular cookies so watch out!

I also liked that they're reasonably priced. Each box is $4.89 which is not bad. Especially considering the amount of cookies per box. Definitely worth it, check out Jo-Sef's Gluten Free, you won't be disappointed! Even if you can eat gluten, give them a shot they're still pretty delicious!

Hi everyone! My next review is for Guylian Chocolate. Guylian Chocolate is a delicious Belgian chocolate company that sells a variety of incredible chocolate. They sent me an insane amount of chocolate.

The chocolate I received was:

Wow, these are incredible. I shared a bunch of them with my roommates and also sent a box to my Grandma for her birthday because she loves chocolate just as much as I do. I also gave the milk chocolate sugar free bar to my Uncle's girlfriend because she is diabetic. She was super excited to try and told me she loved them.

They're so delicious. The Sea Horses were so unique, I haven't had chocolate like them in a while. As the website says: "The marbled and milk chocolate seahorses are filled with our unique hazelnut praliné with finely ground hazelnuts to create the ultimate chocolate experience." They're so great.

My favorite though was the dark chocolate sea shells and the dark chocolate bar just because I love dark chocolate. They were so rich and delicious. A few pieces hit the sweet tooth perfectly. As the website says: "Dark chocolate lovers will enjoy treating themselves to Guylian’s Sea Shells Extra Dark as they are made from 74% extra dark Belgian Chocolate. Discover this new delicacy filled with a delicious dark hazelnut praliné made in the age old traditional manner." The flavor of all of them are perfect, so smooth and rich. Plus Valentine's Day is coming up and these would make the perfect, delicious gifts for your special someone. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Their classic breaded fish sticks!

I haven't had fish sticks in years but I went to the supermarket and I saw these and felt the urge to eat them, especially because they had a really cool fish taco recipe in the back. It wasn't neccessarily a recipe but a picture of them and I thought, yum! I wanna make that! So I did, bought some tortillas, guac, lettuce, tomatoes, and piled them high with the fish sticks. It was deeeelicious! They have a special website here for their fish tacos, which I thought was interesting.

The fish sticks were really yummy and the taco overall hit the spot and made a really quick and fun meal. Eating fish sticks definitely made me feel like a kid again!

Vitalicious Mini Fudgy Chocolate VitaCake Review!

Hey everyone! My next review is for Vitalicious. You may remember I did a review for them before and you can check that out here. They recently release these awesome mini VitaCakes in fudgy chocolate that are only 50 calories! Awesome!

They sent me two giant boxes of these yummy vitacakes a well as two in this awesome little travel case that fits two perfectly. I love this case, it's great for on the go or spending all day rehearsal, you can just snack on these.

These VitaCakes are so delicious and only 50 calories. They're just sweet enough and soft. You actually have to keep these frozen because they contain no preservatives. But you can thaw them in a microwave and once they come out they're warm and even a little gooey, my favorite!

Some other awesome things about these delicious vitacakes are that they only have 1g fat, 2g protein, 14g carbs, and 6g of fiber, plus 15 vitamins and minerals! Awesome!

They're the perfect snack to hit you sugar cravings. Just enough to hit the spot. I had some of my roommates try them too since I received an awesome amount, thanks to Vitalicious so we all attacked them. If you love chocolate, you will love these!

Vitalicious also has an awesome variety of other great snacks, too. I received their VitaTops which are like muffins but just the tops last time which come in a variety of flavors from blueberry to banana nut. They also have VitaBrownies which they also sent me last time, too which are so good too. Basically all of their products are delicious and fairly healthy for you. They also have breakfast sandwiches, bakeware, and more, definitely check them out! Even if you love sweets like brownies and muffins but want to start leading a little healthier life.

Purex UltraPacks Review!

Hey everyone! My next review is for Purex UltraPacks. You may remember I've done several Purex reviews in the past and you can find them here. I gotta say, These UltraPacks are super awesome for super lazy people like me.

I received the Free and Clear Purex UltraPacks to try and they're awesome!

In February, Purex will be launching the UltraPacks. They are new convenient pre-dosed liquid detergent packs that make doing laundry easier than ever. They're already prepackaged, all you do is toss it into the washing machine before you throw in the clothes. Each pack contains powerful 2x concentrated liquid detergent, giving each ultrapack double the cleaning power in every drop. They also dissolve quickly once the washer is started and they're safe for all machines including HE ones.

I love these, but they also make us so much more lazier. They are super awesome for traveling though! Just bring a few with you and you'll be set. Just make sure not to wet them because they dissolve with water, so make sure even your hands are dry.

I was skeptical on whether or not the little pack would be enough for a load of laundry but after trying it out, my clothes were nice and clean, so these are definitely a winner! They also take up a lot less room than a giant tub of detergent does. I live with roommates so we have a buttload of detergent and not much room, so it's nice to have this little bag that fits practically anywhere.

Overall, this just continues to make me love Purex even more. Definitely check them out in stores this coming Feburuary!

I was sent their Bold (Sole) and Medium (Cielo) Roasts to try.

Sogno really tries to help the consumer with trying to create the perfect cup of coffee and I think they did a wonderful job. I never really knew what kind of coffee drinker I was until I tried both of these and man, I like it bold, the Sole tasted so, so good! So strong, great body, and full of flavor, a great way to start off your day. I usually put a few spoonfuls of my Dunkin Donuts roast in but this one I noticed all I needed was one and it did the trick. It was definitely the best tasting coffee made at home with a coffee machine I've had in a really, really long time, maybe ever.

I felt the Cielo tasted plainer but that's probably because the coffee wasn't as strong. But I'm sure it's great for people that like medium roast coffee and don't like it super strong. I like strong coffee because it takes quite a bit to wake me up and getting the strong jolt really helps do the trick.

Definitely check out Sogno Coffee, I'm not kidding when I say the bold coffee tastes absolutely delicious! You won't be disappointed!

I guess Charlie thought I had some dirty clothes because they sent me two of their awesome laundry products. It's cool with me though, because I do have a buttload of clothes and do wash at least once a week.

I really liked the pre-spray because lately anytime I'd be wearing a white shirt I would get a hot sauce stain or something on it during breakfast. What can I say? I'm a messy eater. So I've been using the pre-spray and it's been working awesomely. As the website says: "Apply the Pre-Spray to the stain, directly on the fabric as soon as you notice it. Rub the Pre-Spray into the stain and let it sit for a bit – maybe 30 minutes. Don't be afraid to let it dry. Charlie's Soap Laundry Pre-Spray was designed to gently remove stains, not blast them off. The Laundry Pre-Spray will separate the stain from the fabric. The treated area will look like the stain is spreading and that means that it will come out in the wash! Re-wet the stain with Pre-Spray just before you pop it into the wash. Feel free to repeat the process if necessary. Our Laundry Pre-Spray will not damage any fabric. (It might be a good idea to test for color fastness and follow your garment's care instructions, though.).

What's also great is that it is environmentally friendly and cost effective. Much like the Laundry Liquid. The Laundry Liquid is like your basic detergent but is clear and scent-free. It also works with all HE machines, too. It's also non-toxic & completely biodegradable, safe and effective for all fabrics, including silk, wool, linen, cotton and high-tech micro fibers.

What's great about Charlie's Soap in general is that it's environmentally friendly and non-toxic. They're also biodegradable too. Definitely check out Charlie's if you want to switch up your cleaning products and go towards a more green direction, you won't be disappointed!

Hey everyone! Well, it's nearly the end of January and you know what that means, college is back in session! I remember when I was at college the main annoyance of college was buying all those stupid text books you hardly even use but cost an arm and a leg to buy. You could get lucky and ask around, maybe someone took that class already and you can use their book or you can rent it from the library but that was always is a pain in the butt because someone else has it or you can't make copies. So why not go to the internet for your books, specifically this super awesome website Campus Book Rentals.

Campus Book Rentals is the awesome website where you can rent books online and they'll ship them out to you. Best part is the shipping is free and you can save 40% to 90% on bookstore prices. Also you can even highlight in your books! The renting periods are pretty flexible, too.

Basically it's your book but you have to give it back once you're done. It's pretty awesome, I really wish that I discovered this website before I graduated, not gonna lie.

Another awesome thing about Campus Book Rentals is that it donates to Operation Smile. Hey everyone! My next review is for Listerine's Total Care Zero. I'm a huge Listerine fan so I was pretty pumped to try out this new Total Care Zero. I was given the chance to sample this thanks to Crowdtap.

Listerine Total Care Zero is a less intense, alcohol-free mouthwash. After carefully listening to consumers who wanted a less-intense mouthwash, Listerine has introduced this formula. It helps answer the craving and encourage a complete oral care routine.

The formula provides the same healthy mouth benefits of Listerine just with zero alcohol:
-Restores enamel
-Helps prevent Cavities
-Strengthens teeth
-Kills germs that causes bad breath
-Freshens breath
-Cleans the whole mouth

To be honest, I guess I'm one of the few that likes a more intense mouthwash. I know the alcohol isn't good for you enamel and such, I think my friend told me it starts to make your enamel wear off. But I like the taste of the blue and green Listerines. It just tastes better to me, this Total Care tasted a little weird, almost like medicine and kind of bubbled in your mouth more. But, to be honest it is better for you. Alcohol free is the way to go and if it prevents cavities and does more work than the regular Listerine, even if it doesn't taste as good, I'm still going to buy it and use it more.

I would definitely check it out if you were the people that didn't like Listerine because of the intensity but I also also check it out too even if you're a Listerine fan. Alcohol free is the way to be.

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for the Slobproof Paint Pen. The Slobproof Paint Pen is this really awesome little touch up pen. You put your excess paint in this pen and if you get scraps or scratches in your wall, just touch it up with the little pen.

The people at Slobproof really contacted me at the right time, let me just say. We are painting our kitchen this week so the pen is definitely coming in handy! Not that we knock into our walls or anything frequently, just that typically I don't have any spare paint to fix nixes and knocks but now I will!

I actually gave the pen to my roommate because she is in charge of the painting process, it was her idea and she's mainly our "landlord" to put it loosely. So yeah she was pretty happy to receive it. But she also wondered maybe she could use it for nail polish instead, I wasn't sure, but if you're feeling creative and don't mess up your walls too much you guys can totally try that out too.

Amazing! I also received other products like a Redken product to make your hair glossy looking and an anti-frizz product. But I gave it to my guest who came with me because she didn't get a bag.

The experience was amazing though, it was so much fun! We got to sample wine from Naked Grape even have a glass, I chose their Moscato which was delicious. There were incredible appetizers and snacks being brought around everything from chicken and waffles to cupcakes. There was also free massages, hair-dos, manicures, facials, make-overs and more! Check out how awesome my hair looked after Kevin Moshier did it. It looked so pretty! I slept with it in and wore it for a little bit the next day just so I could show it off some more. I also got my nails done by Tania L. Williams and a massage by her company too. One of the best massages ever, too! She had my arms twisting in the back and was really digging into my shoulders, it was incredible. I also received an amazing hydrating facial from Solyn Studio which was so nice. And to top it off a make-over from BH Cosmetics, a brand which is awesome. I have done a review for them in the past and they were so nice to the guests, giving out crazy awesome goodie bags!

I believe tickets were around $27 which is totally worth it considering what you get out of it. The goodie bag alone was worth over $125! Let alone all of the great treatments.

One negative, was just me being an idiot and I should've taken the $8 valet, instead I parked on the street and got a $63 parking ticket. That's what you get for LA street parking!

Definitely check out Pretty City's website for upcoming events near you, they have events all the time across the US this was so much fun and my friend, Kailey, and I had an awesome time! Also be on the lookout for some more reviews and hopefully a giveaway or two for them in the future!
