Facebook Page Intregration

Hi everyone,

We are trying some new things around here as you may have seen recently and one of those is a closer integration of this website with our Facebook page. We are testing a system that will publish post from the website onto the Facebook so that you can comment on them there.

The Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/starkcountyogs so please visit it and like the page and also share the link with your friends so we can get as many likes as possible.

Also please comment on the post about what you are going to be looking for in the 1940 census. I would love to get some discussion going.

Western Reserve Historical Society Event on April 2nd

Hi everyone,

Just wanted everyone to know that the Western Reserve Historical Society is having an event to usher in the release of the 1940 Census. They will be open Monday April 2nd from 10-5. The research center will be open and volunteers and staff will be available for assistance. No reservation is required and the admission is the usual price. Also if you haven’t already visited our facebook page I would like to suggest that you go over there and check us out and like our page. I have added all of the photos from the website up there and we will be adding some others that we have taken but not uploaded yet. Please like the page and comment on the photos if you would like. In the future I will try to put any updates to meetings and such on there as well as on the website.

New Email List Test

Ok everyone I am testing out a new email list service which should automatically send everyone a copy of any posts that I put on the website. I will be sending this message out on the normal email list too so you should get two copies of it one from the new service and one from the normal. If you don’t receive these two in the next couple of days please email me back so that I can put you on whatever list you aren’t on.

Also this new service will automatically post these emails to Facebook so you can look at them there and leave your comments on what you think of the new system there as well.
