Wayne Rooney suffers nasty eye injury as he is forced to leave field with blood pouring from his face

2017-09-24T08:30:00.003+00:00

Wayne Rooney was forced to leave the field with blood pouring from his face after suffering a nasty eye injury during Everton's 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

Rooney was elbowed in the face by Bournemouth defender Simon Francis following a challenge in the air and he suffered a cut around his eye. Rooney needed lengthy treatment from the club's medical staff before he was allowed to return to the field.

Rooney protested heavily to referee Martin Atkinson over the challenge but the referee refused to hand out any punishment to Francis. Then two minutes before half-time, Rooney's wound re-opened following a challenge with Adam Smith. Blood streamed down the former England skipper's face and he needed more treatment from the Everton medics.

The experienced forward eventually left the field on 55 minutes. His manager Ronald Koeman is hopeful that he will be fit for their next game against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League on Thursday.
Koeman said: "We knew it would be difficult for the second half. It cost time in the first half but I had to change him. Hopefully he will be OK for the next game."

Former Premier League referee Graham Poll believes Atkinson made the right decision to keep Francis on the field following the nasty looking challenge. He said Francis did not deliberately inflict injury on Rooney.
Poll, speaking on BT Sport, said: "It’s not deliberate. If a player wants to do someone with an arm, they tend to clench their fist to give it power."

Baby with half a heart survives after mum defied doctors' advice over abortion

2017-09-24T08:25:00.000+00:00

A baby beat the odds to survive even after doctors advised that it would be best to abort her because she was discovered to have just half a heart.

Lisa Ambler, 32, says she was repeatedly told to terminate her pregnancy after unborn daughter Lacey-Janet was discovered to have an issue with her heart. But Lisa, who has cysts on her ovaries which make it difficult to conceive, was determined to go ahead.

Almost immediately after the baby was born, she stopped breathing in her mother's arms and had an eight-hour operation within the first two weeks. Baby Lacey-Janet had a rare condition where the left lower pumping chamber of the heart does not develop properly. Fortunately, she pulled through and will now be able to lead as normal a life as possible.

Lisa said: "It amazes me how she even made it through the pregnancy. When we were told about the problems with Lacey-Janet’s heart we were told to abort but for me it was all a big dream. They kept saying that she wasn’t going to live long but we were never going to abort her."

Lisa, who lives in Hull with husband Michael, added: "She will need heart care for the rest of her life. But after seeing what she has already been through as a tiny baby I am confident she is only going to get stronger."

A plus-sized bride-to-be and her fiance did a semi-nude photoshoot which got positive reactions from people who say it has inspired them to be body confident.

The couple, Stephanie and Arryn, took part in the empowering boudoir photoshoot for their photographer friend Bria Terry to celebrate their engagement. At the time they posed for the photo, they had no idea it would go viral and be shared all over the world. But the photo managed to inspire thousands worldwide.

Stephanie, from Texas, USA, says she used to not like her stomach but has now embraced her body.
She told the Huffington Post: "I remember being in junior high and looking at myself in the mirror, wondering why my stomach wasn’t the way it was ‘supposed’ to be.

"Over the years, I’ve come to accept that I am always going to be considered plus-size. I push myself out of my comfort zone by wearing clothes that I love but aren’t in society’s mold of what is acceptable for bigger women, like crop tops, tight shirts, shorter dresses and shorts. I walk around with my head high, smiling, and show no shame in myself. I honestly have never felt more attractive."
Stephanie said she was amazed when she saw the photos.
"I was shocked," she said. "I look so in love and confident. "Every person should be able to see themselves in that light. It is really eye-opening."

The photographs were posted on Facebook by the photographer and have been shared over 85,000 times with thousands on social media praising it.

The photographer wrote: "'A moment, a smile; a single burst of laughter that sounds exactly like the rest of my life.' -Tyler Knott Gregson

"Today, and always, Wolf & Rose Photography celebrates real love, and the beautiful couples who allow me to capture it."

The Committee deliberated on alot of items on the agenda and issued a statement saying, 'with an overwhelming majority of the members present, it was decided to withdraw the hosting rights of the competition from Kenya in the light of accumulated delays from reports of the various inspection missions conducted in the country, the last of which took place from 11 to 17 September 2017. The CAF Acting General Secretary has been instructed to immediately open a bidding process for a new host. The deadline for receipt of applications is seven days from Sunday, 24 September 2017. Zylofon Media swerves Toosweet Annan

2017-09-24T07:47:00.003+00:00

On June 20 this year, entertainment company Zylofon Media announced the signing of five actors at a press conference organised at their East Legon office.

Top officials of the company were tight lipped about the details of the contract and none of the five actors – Toosweet Annan, James Gardiner, Bibi Bright, Zynell Zuh and Benedicta Gafah was also willing to tell the world some of the juicy offers inked in the contract but it was obvious that the promises Zylofon Media gave them were better judging from what they’ve given to others.

Months back, Zionfelix.net reported that the 360 entertainment company has given each of the five actors a tear-rubber Toyota Fortuner. Well, that might not be what they promised actor Toosweet Annan because of what he said when he appeared on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show.

The handsome actor on the show explaining why he was driving in Zylofon Media‘s car stated that he did not have one and the machine the company promised him was on its way coming. When asked about the car Zylofon Media assured him, he mentioned G-Wagon.

What then happened for Zylofon Media to present Toyota Fortuner to Toosweet Annan when he was waiting for G-Wagon?
