Yes, only in Hollywood can a woman on the other side of forty play the better half of "couple in their thirties!"

For a real estate commercial that had 260 women audition for three spots, I was amazed to be chosen....then even more amazed when I came to set and found my young "husband."  With the right hair and make-up, I got to fantasize (and get paid for it!) that I was back in the glory days of my thirties...of course, our make-up artist has an Emmy from her work an "The Bold and the Beautiful" so she probably could have made me sixty just as easily.

What a fun day.  Great cast, incredible food, easy work...I could do this every day!

  Just hours before The SAG Awards begin, Charlotte Barrielle and Hunter Pace practice on the carpet.....they both had auditions across the street at the USC Film Center!  In the nexr few years, they'll be attending...not watching from the outside!

  Remember this photo of these DIsney stars with my niece Rachel's Flat Stanley??  The guy on the far right is Sterling Knight, whom I completely forgot was one of the star's in Demi Lovato's new "Sonny...With a Chance." debuting on the Disney Channel mid-February.

We had the chance to see the taping of one of the "Sonny" shows last night as a guest of Demi Lovato's mother, which meant we got to get down on the set and meet all of the stars.  Sterling so remembered the Flat Stanley photo and reminded me that we were neighbors...he lives in our complex.  So, of course, I will be making him and his roommmate, Matt Prokup from High School Musical 3, some cookies this week.  What's a Mom to do but take care of these stars so far from home?!

"Sonny...With A Chance" is pretty funny and a satirical look at kids in show business, as well as young love, crazy teachers, silly antics and good one-liners.  It should be a hit and assure Demi Lovato's position in the Disney empire.  It will launch some of the other stars, like Sterling and Doug Brochu, Tiffany Thornton and Brandon Smith.  Vicki Lewis as the teacher is absolutely hilarious and reminds us of her staying power in Hollywood.  Photos below include Brandon, Tiffany, Demi and Sterling with Charlotte and/or Hunter and Jackson Pace.

  Just some leftover photo from Halloween (Charlotte was Bonnie from Bonnie and Clyde and I was a ladybug) but I pulled it up because we are thrilled auditions are finally rolling....Charlotte had 3 commercial and 2 film this week and I had three commercial and one film) so I am hoping Hollywood is starting to hop....baby steps, of course.

One of the funniest things was a meeting where a potential manager actually remembered Charlotte from Halloween and the thousands of kids that roamed Toluca Lake that night!  She (the manager) was at Hilary Duff's house and remembered Charlotte's gangster "Bonnie" outfit because Hilary is playing Bonnie in an upcoming film!  You never know when you'll be recognized in this town.

  On this gorgeous day in January, we shot what could be a fabulous spot for Lincoln Mercury and a breakthrough for the talented director, Patricio Genislaus.

Out of 500 story treatments, ten were chosen to be produced and this was one of them.  It is a five minute film that will be shortened to 30 seconds to air during the GRAMMYs!!  This story deals with two cupids who chase their victims around LA in a Lincoln MKX....sometimes with good results....sometimes with wild arrows gone astray and disastrous consequences!

I play the lonely widow who is not their target, but meets and...just maybe....falls for someone without the powerful push of the cupids (who are really more like the Blues Brothers or those guys from "Men in Black" ) and, therefore, mess up their love radar!

Unfortunately for me, my love interest was not interested in women...nor did I, in a million billion years, think I'd ever stop my jog for him...but, I've learned to act...and I did it well!

Watch for us during the Grammys on February 9th!!

In a weird true life story, I went to audition for an internet Cepacol commercial (there were tons of women there)....then the producer asked if I coud see a movie every Friday and review it..duh!  My Dream Job....then he called on Wednesday to see if I could go to see "Hotel for Dogs".  Sure, would you like my daughter to see it too?

I had no idea what this was....but now Charlotte and I are the newest members of the MOVIE MOB!!  And she is the youngest ever on the show....and I am NOT the oldest, thank you!

We see movies, are taped reviewing them...and, then, to my astonishment, I found out this is not a one-time deal!  We are on every week until we are voted off.  So, please please please vote for us!!!!  Every Monday at 8:30 PM or on the web!!!!!

PS - And, I'd like to personally thank a friend whose review of "Don't Mess With the Zohan" probably got me this gig!!  All that "banging" was just too much!

No photo here because I was late on the draw, but, while picking up friends (Christine Pace and sons, Hunter and Jackson) at Burbank Airport, Charlotte found them talking to "Hannah Montana" and "Dancing with the Stars" star, Cody Linley (he is fellow Dallas boy)!  Although I was waiting in the car, reports have that Charlotte did not quite register who the famous face was, but stood transfixed looking at him telling him "my mother left her cell phone at home, so bla bla bla...." all conversation meant for Christine, but babbled directly at COdy!

  Looking lovely with some pretty funky hair, I play a nurse form the fifties in an independent film called "The Price of Progress."

The film chronicles the lobotomizing of a black man because he got in a street fight with a white man.  Of course, this is before the Civil Rights movement and is further complicated by the fact that his girlfriend is a sophisticated white girl.

We shot in an abandoned hospital in a rough part of LA, which was pretty cool except that "abandoned" means no heat and broken windows....we froze.  I ran to my car in between every take.  I did kinda like my look, which took an hour in hair and make-up to perfect and almost as long to get out of my hair when I got home!

We explored the hospital, which was a kick....found old record albums as well as hospital records, the morgue, operating rooms, the chapel...we heard that the upper floors were haunted so never ventured higher than our first floor set and the creept basement, complete with crematorium.
