As we move into 2026, a lot of businesses are using AI the same way they use autopilot, helpful, but not always intentional. Over the past year, I’ve had dozens of conversations with Central Coast founders, operators, and leaders who feel the impact of AI every day but aren’t always sure it’s working for them.

In this article, I talk about why January is the right moment for an AI audit- not a reset, not a teardown, but a thoughtful pause. It’s about asking better questions: Where is AI actually showing up? Is it saving time or creating more work? Does it reflect the way your business wants to show up in the world?

This isn’t a technical how-to, it’s a practical, human look at how businesses in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo can use AI with clarity, care, and intention, without losing what makes them distinctive in the first place.

The Dream Team Just Got Real: Starr Hall Media x Oniracom

You know that electric moment when two creative forces collide and the universe just… shifts? Yeah, that happened.

After years of building brands, igniting movements, and occasionally breaking the internet (in a good way), I’m thrilled to announce that Starr Hall Media has officially joined creative forces with Oniracom- the Santa Barbara-based powerhouse known for crafting iconic campaigns for Jack Johnson, Sonos, and Universal Music Group.

This isn’t your average “strategic partnership” press release moment. This is a full-blown creative supernova, where bold PR meets cinematic design, where storytelling and strategy high-five in midair, and where our combined teams are about to set the marketing world on fire (the good kind).

We’re not just building brands; we’re architecting cultural moments that make people feel something.

Now… grab your virtual popcorn. Here’s the official announcement – Starr Hall

Starr Hall Media and Oniracom Forge Creative Partnership for Next-Generation Brand Storytelling

Santa Barbara, CA [October 23, 2025] – Global brands, meet your new dream team.
What happens when a deal-making publicist known for igniting movements on a world stage joins forces with a creative agency built on the art of “communicating dreams”? The marketing landscape is about to find out.

Starr Hall, internationally recognized for turning ideas into headlines and cultural touchstones, has officially linked creative arms with Oniracom, the boutique branding and digital powerhouse whose work has shaped icons from Jack Johnson and Universal Music Group to Sonos and Deckers.

The result: a next-generation creative partnership engineered to launch, rescue, and reinvent brands with unprecedented firepower.

A Creative Collision Built for the Future

This collaboration is an open-ended creative force, a high-octane union of strategy, design, and storytelling designed for today’s speed-of-light economy.

Starr Hall Media, headquartered in Santa Barbara with offices in New York and Nashville, brings three decades of high-voltage public relations, co-branding wizardry, crisis navigation, and AI-driven storytelling.

Oniracom delivers award-winning brand strategy, logo and identity systems, next-gen web design, ad campaigns, and content production that feels alive.

Together they are creating brand alchemy; the rare, disruptive space where smart publicity meets cinematic visuals, and where ideas become movements faster than algorithms can refresh.

Quotes from the Dream Team

“This isn’t a partnership; it’s a creative supernova,” says Starr Hall. “Brands don’t just need publicity or a logo, they need a full-sensory narrative. With Oniracom, we can dream bigger and build faster.”

“Our name literally means ‘communicating dreams,’ and Starr is a dream collaborator,” says Jacob Tell, CEO and Co-Founder of Oniracom. “By joining forces with her incredible public relations arm, we’re able to extend our creative impact from concept and design straight through to global media and audience engagement.

If I were trying to sell you socks for my Pomeranian, Archie, I could do it two ways:
1⃣ The logical, no-personality, spreadsheet-approved way.
2⃣ The human, hilarious, and slightly ridiculous way, also known as storytelling.

Let’s test it, shall we?

Exhibit A: The Non-Storytelling Way (aka the Sleep Aid of Marketing)

Introducing the Pawfect Fit Dog Socks! Made from 100% cotton, non-slip grip, machine washable, and available in five colors. Sizes XS–L. Protect your floors and your pup’s paws. Order now for $9.99.

And… you’re asleep.

This is what I call brochure brain- when brands communicate like a packing list. It’s fine if you’re labeling boxes in storage. But if your goal is to make people care, laugh, or even remember your name for five seconds after scrolling, it’s a death sentence.

Because no one wakes up in the morning thinking, “You know what I need? A friction-reducing paw covering for my indoor companion animal.”

Exhibit B: The Storytelling Way (aka Archie, The Drama King)

Last winter, my Pomeranian Archie, a 10-pound cloud of judgment and entitlement went skidding across the kitchen floor like Bambi on ice while chasing a squeaky toy that claimed to be “indestructible.” (It wasn’t. RIP, Squeako.)

He landed dramatically, glared at me like it was my fault, and refused to move until I carried him to his bed like a fallen soldier. That’s when I knew: this dog needed socks. Not just any socks – statement socks.

After two prototypes, a meltdown, and one fashion show he definitely didn’t agree to, Archie’s Pawfect Socks were born. Designed for small dogs with big personalities who want to look fabulous while maintaining traction during toy chases and emotional outbursts.

Boom. You’re smiling. You might even picture your own dog. You’ve been transported into a mini-movie starring a dog with more personality than most brand CEOs.

That’s the power of storytelling.

So What’s the Difference?

Non-Storytelling

Storytelling

Lists features

Sparks feelings

Sells product

Builds connection

Says “buy this”

Says “you’ll love this because…”

Sounds like a robot

Sounds like a real human with caffeine and charm

Forgotten instantly

Shared, saved, and screenshot

Why Storytelling Works (Even When You’re Selling Socks)

Here’s what’s really happening behind the scenes:

When you tell a story, the brain lights up like a Christmas tree.
People don’t just hear your words; they feel them.
They imagine Archie sliding across the floor, they relate to the chaos, and suddenly, they’re emotionally invested in something that costs $9.99.

It’s the oldest trick in PR and the newest algorithm-proof strategy in marketing. Because you can’t scroll past something that makes you feel seen, entertained, or even slightly unhinged in the best way.

Let’s Get Real for a Second

Every brand has an Archie-in-socks moment, that one story that captures why you exist, who you serve, and what makes you different. But most brands bury it under bullet points, jargon, and “innovative solutions for scalable growth.” (Please stop.) If your audience can’t retell your story at brunch, you don’t have a story. You have a product sheet.

How to Know If You’re Telling a Story or Just Talking at People

Ask yourself:

Does this make anyone feel something (besides confusion)?

Could this story be told over wine and still be interesting?

Would your dog interrupt you mid-sentence out of boredom?

If the answer to that last one is yes, delete and try again.

The Moral of the Story (and the Sock)

Facts tell.
Stories sell.

Archie’s socks may be small, but the story behind them has legs, four very fluffy ones. And that’s what your brand needs: a little personality, a little humor, and a little dog-level drama.

Because no one remembers “machine washable.” But everyone remembers the Pomeranian who refused to walk barefoot ever again.

Starr Hall
PR Pro, Story Whisperer, and Human to Archie
(Who still refuses to wear matching socks.)

Article Written By Starr Hall in The Pacific Coast Business Times

Artificial intelligence may run on software and large language models, but Adam Brotman reminds us it’s far more than lines of code. For him, AI’s real story begins with people and culture.

I had the pleasure of hearing him share this perspective at a recent Coastal Intelligence Fireside Chat in Santa Barbara, and I was captivated.

The former chief digital officer who led Starbucks’ successful push into mobile ordering and loyalty technology, and later served as president of J. Crew, has now shifted his focus to an even larger transformation: helping leaders integrate AI into the core of their organizations.

AI-generated videos are everywhere right now- sleek, glossy, beautifully rendered… and often completely empty. They look incredible, but too often, they don’t feel anything.

That’s exactly why I’m so proud of what we just released with Pizza Brand X.

This video isn’t just an AI experiment- VIEW HERE

it’s storytelling brought to life through technology. Every frame, every line, every ridiculous (and yes, emotional) moment was designed to make you feel something, to make you remember that behind every so-called “frozen” pizza is a human story. A chef’s meltdown in aisle 7. A refusal to settle for fake ingredients. A reckoning, not a recipe.

We didn’t use AI as the main character. We used it as a creative instrument- to amplify humor, heart, and rebellion.

And that’s what makes this piece different.

AI shouldn’t replace storytellers. It should help them tell bigger, bolder, more human stories.

A massive thank you to Grady Hall, the award-winning producer and creative visionary who helped bring this to life. Grady’s ability (along with his team) to merge cinematic storytelling with emerging technology is exactly what this project needed, and the reason it resonates far beyond the screen. Working with someone who understands how to keep soul at the center of spectacle was everything.

Huge gratitude also to Chef Jon Kosorek, the Michelin-trained mad scientist behind the pizza itself, and to the entire creative team that refused to make just another “AI ad.

We set out to make something that could only exist right now- in this wild intersection of art, code, and chaos- and we did it.

An AI-directed cinematic launch turning frozen pizza into a cultural premiere, and rewriting the rules of brand storytelling.

Something deliciously disruptive is about to land in the frozen pizza aisle. Pizza Brand X is rolling out an AI-directed film commercial- crafted by Emmy-winning director Grady Hall, that redefines what a brand launch can be.

This isn’t a 30-second jingle about melting cheese. It’s a rally cry. A cinematic mic-drop. A signal that the frozen pizza industry is about to wake up and smell the wood-fired revolution.

Below is your insider look at what’s happening before the big drop, what makes this kind of storytelling immortal (yes, we said it), how we’ll keep the buzz alive long after the credits roll, and why the brand trusted Starr Hall & Partners to make it all happen.

Pre-Game: Strategic Early Access That Builds a Crave-Quake

PR is already in motion, and we’re treating the launch like an opening weekend at the box office. But instead of quick-hit “coming soon” clips, we’re focusing on strategic early access, exclusive previews designed to spark conversation and build credibility where it matters most.

Here’s how:

Influencer Tastemaker Outreach
We’re partnering with food and pizza enthusiasts, people whose recommendations move markets- to share first impressions and their personal take on why this launch is different.

Investor + Insider Invitations
Carefully crafted “first-look” packages (think of them as culinary screeners) are going to key investors and brand partners, helping catapult awareness and confidence well before the official debut.

Press and Key Media Engagement
Rather than mass emails, we’re giving select journalists story-first briefings, exclusive context and conversation that highlight the brand’s innovation and bold creative direction.

The goal is tension you can taste…earned anticipation built on insider credibility. By the time the full spot premieres, it won’t just be an ad; it will be an industry moment everyone wants to have a seat at.

Why This Story Will Outlive the Launch

“Storytelling will live on forever” has been said a million times. Let’s remix it:

True brand stories don’t have a shelf life; they become culture.

Grady Hall’s film isn’t just a pizza ad, it’s a narrative designed to travel, across formats, across time. The AI-directed production lets us feed the brand’s voice into future campaigns.

This approach does three key things:

Builds equity – Every new touchpoint adds depth instead of starting from scratch.

Invites fandom – Viewers share, remix, and quote lines like they would from their favorite series.

Stays future-ready – AI direction means we can evolve the story as tech, tastes, and trends shift.

Frozen pizza might be consumed fast, but the myth we’re creating? That’s built to last.

After the Premiere: Keeping the Oven Hot

Launch day isn’t the finish line, it’s the ignition switch. Here’s the sneak peek at how we’ll extend the heat:

Interactive Behind-the-Scenes Drops
Quick-cut videos of AI editing magic, Grady Hall’s on-set calls, and the brand’s creative kitchen.

Post Launch- Social Pizza Quests
Playful challenges (think “Find the Flavor Clue” scavenger hunts) that pull fans deeper into the world.

Retail Takeovers & Sampling Events
In-store activations where shoppers can taste what they’ve been watching.

Earned Media & Influencer Partnerships
From foodie TikTokers to innovation podcasts, we’re lining up coverage that celebrates both the tech and the taste.

The guiding idea: Every post-launch move extends the narrative arc. The commercial is the spark, but the strategy is the slow burn that keeps the brand top-of-mind and driving demand straight from the frozen pizza aisle.

Why Pizza Brand X Chose Starr Hall & Partners

When asked why they entrusted this high-stakes launch to Starr Hall & Partners, the founders of Pizza Brand X put it this way:

“We wanted a partner who could make a frozen pizza launch feel like a cultural premiere. Starr and her team don’t just run campaigns, they build movements. From the very first conversation, they were already talking in cinematic arcs and AI storytelling, not just ad buys. They understood that our pizza isn’t just food; it’s an experience, a story, a statement.

Starr’s ability to merge deep PR instincts with cutting-edge tech gave us confidence that the world wouldn’t just see our commercial, they’d feel compelled to talk about it, share it, and remember it. We didn’t need a vendor. We needed a co-conspirator. Starr Hall & Partners are exactly that.”

That vote of confidence is the yeast in this whole creative recipe: the partnership fuels every teaser, every strategic drop, every headline-grabbing moment that follows. And furthermore, we trusted her advice even when we didn’t fully understand or initially agree with it—because that’s why you hire a pro. We stepped back and let Starr and her team lead, resisting the all-too-common urge to micromanage that can flatten bold ideas and slow momentum.

The Bigger Picture

Pizza Brand X isn’t just launching a product; it’s flipping the script on how frozen food is marketed. By merging cinematic direction with AI storytelling and a relentless PR build-up, we’re not waiting for the industry to catch on, we’re rewriting its playbook.

So when that first full-length spot finally lands, remember:

You saw the breadcrumbs first.

You know this is bigger than pizza.

And you’ll be part of the story as it keeps baking.

Get ready. The frozen aisle is about to feel like opening night at Sundance, and Pizza Brand X is holding the front row.

Crafting Stories That Outlive Trends,

Starr Hall, Publicist | Agent | Rainmaker

From Publicist to Power Broker: The Art of the Strategic Introduction

Have you ever thought of hiring a publicist to land media coverage? Of course you have.

But have you ever thought of hiring one to change your life, to help you switch careers, secure investors, or close the kind of deal that makes even seasoned venture capitalists blink?

Here’s the quiet truth: a high-caliber publicist, the real deal, not the press-release pushers, can spark a chain reaction that closes nine-figure contracts. I eat, drink, and sleep deal-making, it’s not just my job, it’s my default setting.

This year alone, introductions I’ve made for clients have already resulted in over $600 million in closed or pending deals. That’s not PR puffery; that’s the bottom line.

The Morning Starts Before Sunrise

My day begins when most of the world is still in REM sleep. At 5:00 a.m. Pacific, I’m at my desk with coffee strong enough to launch a rocket. By the time London and Zurich wind down their day, I’m firing off carefully timed messages, warm intros between investors and founders, or between a global brand and the perfect strategic partner. I also make introductions that change lives, helping people leap companies, pivot careers, or land dream roles- so go ahead and add headhunter to the list.

Sometimes a single email sent before breakfast will spark a conversation that closes weeks later for tens of millions of dollars. Other days it’s an afternoon sprint with West Coast founders and venture partners, then an evening call with Singapore entrepreneurs.

If you could run a camera on my desk for a 14-to-16-hour stretch, you’d see a ballet of time zones: the whir of Slack pings, the quiet tap of NDA drafts, the instant alignment of schedules across three continents. It might look like chaos, until the dots connect and a deal lands.

Publicist? Agent? Rainmaker.

Rainmaker…that’s what many of my clients call me, and it fits. Publicist? Agent? Deal-maker? Matchmaker? Sure. But rainmaker captures what I really do: create opportunities, open doors, and bring in results others only talk about.

Yes, I still craft campaigns and land magazine covers and digital features. But the work that thrills me is strategic introductions- the subtle art of pairing the right people at the right moment.

And while I have select retainer clients, my work isn’t about racking up billable hours. I’m driven by outcomes. Not by the coffee dates or the dozens of quiet emails that build momentum, but by the moment those introductions turn into tangible, bank-clearing success.

The Secret Sauce You Can’t Google

People often ask, “What’s your method?” The truth is, there’s no spreadsheet formula. It’s intuition sharpened by decades of PR experience. It’s reading people the way a master chef knows exactly when to pull a dish from the heat. It’s understanding timing, like when a founder in Paris is finally ready to take capital, or when a tech CEO in California is one dinner away from a partnership.

And it’s hustle: relentless follow-through, global contacts, and a willingness to wake up before dawn for someone else’s time zone.

That’s the alchemy behind the $600 million.

No is Just Next

Because honestly, if someone says no, you’re in no different position than before you asked, you’ve only gained information. And here’s a taste of my secret sauce when I hear no (I’ll leak just one here), this is what I send back as a response:

“Clearly I thought this was a fit and missed the mark. Would you be open to sharing what I didn’t see? Consider it a two-minute mentoring moment?”

There you have it: a mic-drop secret-sauce move that never misses!

Why This Matters to You

You might not need a headline tomorrow. But maybe you’re hunting for investors, eyeing a career pivot, or trying to secure a partnership that will double your revenue. A publicist who thinks like an agent can be your secret weapon, not to write a press release, but to change the trajectory of your business or career.

Want In?

I’ve built a career where my clients don’t pay for promises, they pay when the deal is real. Every introduction I make carries the quiet possibility of turning into something transformative. The next one could have your name on it.

So stay tuned. Because the next chapter, the one where I reveal exactly how this money-making magic works, might just rewrite how you think about publicity forever.

Here I am, send me in, I’ve got the next big deal on speed dial.

Starr Hall, Publicist and Agent

P.S. I’m opening a special launch group for just 10 people- three months, two calls a month, where I’ll personally teach the art (and secret sauce) of high-stakes introductions and deal-making. Email me for the details if you think you’re ready. In the email, use the word SKITTLES in the subject line, it’s a hint about the momentum you’ll learn to create, I’ll spill the meaning only to those that email. Starr@StarrHall.com

I don’t accept everyone. I’m strategic about who I choose, and there’s a reason for that: the right mix of minds creates exponential results.
