We’re happy to announce a new 2-track Starship Amazing EP, called 20XX, out January 15th for pay-what-you-want! We’re really proud of these songs, and we’ve got an amazing piece of cover art by nosdoog. Get hype!

But with this new release also comes some sad news. As many of you already know, Derek is moving to a new life in Seattle, while Calvin is staying behind in Alaska, at least for the time being. Thus, there are currently no plans to release new material after 20XX, aside from one or two possible projects for friends. For the forceable future, 20XX is Starship Amazing’s final release, after which we will go on hiatus after making music more than 7 years together.

Derek will be focusing on making videos about video games over at his YouTube channel, Stop Skeletons From Fighting (wait, he’s not the HVGN anymore? Sellout.) and Calvin will still be making weird music about feelings as Form & Shape. Still, it’s hard to imagine a world where we aren’t making music together, simply because it’s a process we enjoy a lot. We absolutely believe that we will someday reform.

But no tears. It’s a new year, and we must all rise from our coffins. It’s time for us to move towards a fuller, more realized version of ourselves. 20XX. January 15th. Pay-what-you want. Thank you. Bless you. We love you.
