Starstruck V - Final 6 Elimination

This week, it looks like the girls are in danger - we have Sarah Lahbati, Nina Kodaka and Diva Montelaba.

Looks like the Starstruck Council is inclined to having three male finalists and two female finalists in the ELITE EXPLOSION night on February 21. With this, the odds of Sarah, Nina and Diva staying until tomorrow has just become slimmer.

Sarah Lahbati is the clear stand out. She can either win the Ultimate Female Survivor or the Ultimate Loveteam title along with Enzo Pineda.

Nina Kodaka is a great substitute as even if she might not be able to get the Ultimate Female Survivor title but she can get that Ultimate Loveteam title along with Steven Silva, if Sarah gets the Ultimate Female Survivor award.

Diva Montelaba's only chance to win this thing is for the title of Ultimate Female Survivor.

I am guessing that risking any of Sarah and Nina would be a bit of a suicide for the management.Thus, this looks like to be the end of the road for Diva Montelaba.

Starstruck V - Final 7 Elimination

It is almost sure now that someone will be going home tomorrow because the number of finalists are down to seven - odd numbered weeks would mean someone needs to be eliminated.

Last week, Rox Montealegre took the fall which signals this week's elimination to be a male finalist. It is now kinda safe to say that Diva Montelaba, Nina Kodaka and Sarah Lahbati are safe. The girls all did well. Sarah and Nina improved a lot. Though Diva did well, she's not at par as Sarah was. Nina did well but still, Diva's performance was better.

Ranking:
1. Sarah Lahbati
2. Diva Montelaba
3. Nina Kodaka

From this week's performances, Rocco Nacino is a clear standout. Enzo Pineda came in second in terms of acting. Steven Silva did pretty well which may be enough to save him from this week's eliminations. Ian Batherson, though, had performed the worst from the guys this week.

With a fan base as large as a pond when Rocco's, Enzo's and Steven's are as huge as an ocean, Ian Batherson would probably fail to make the cut this week.

No intentions for an Avenger Strike Back nor wildcards this week so, it looks like its a normal elimination that will happen tomorrow.

Starstruck Life starts now. Starstruck 1110 will be a venue for the survivors to live independently.

And Rox Montealegre was eliminated. And my hunch is right, Rox Montealegre is this week's boot.

STARSTRUCK V - FINAL 8 PREDICTION

This week is kinda hard to tell between the three finalists: Ian Batherson, Steven Silva and Nina Kodaka.

While Steven and Nina have a huge fanbase to back them up, Ian Batherson is trying his best to make up in the Artista Tests and true enough, the council might see this valid enough to let him through this week.

Rocco Nacino and Sarah Lahbati has probably assured a safe spot this week. A scripted Bottom Two last week between the two has probably urged their voters (and probably, GMA is trying to encourage the people) to vote for this two.

Enzo Pineda and Diva Montelaba did fairly well this week - coming in at second to both Rocco and Sarah.

Starstruck is kind of experimenting on a Nina-Rocco or Rocco-Diva match up - and from the looks of it, they are trying to think which one is much needed in the Final 4. Set that Sarah-Enzo is sure there. Here's the prediction tally for this week:

BOTTOM 3: Steven, Rox, Diva
ELIMINATED: Rox Montealegre

Diva Montelaba's weak following, though, might get played as she can be an easy replacement for Nina Kodaka in the Bottom Three.

Rox Montealegre looks like she's having a bigger fan base - BUT, there is a high uncertainty on her duration in Starstruck V. Most likely, this girl can be Ian Batherson's replacement in the Bottom 3 - and might eventually get the boot this week.

Its somehow sure that Steven Silva and Nina Kodaka has a larger fanbase than Rox Montealegre and keeping Steven and Nina would be better than to retain Rox - which is probably jack of all trades and master of none. Diva Montelaba, has skills and talent to boast off so she might still get saved.

Starstruck V Final 8 Prediction

Looks like this week, the bottom three will be ENZO PINEDA, STEVEN SILVA and NINA KODAKA.

These are the combined results of Week 5 & Week 7. :)

But knowing the Council, they can use their SAVING POWER this week and we will have a double eliminations next week.

However, this is an interesting bottom three, with Steven and Nina at the bottom, both of which should have been gone a week ago instead of Piero and Princess. With Nina's good performance with this week's test, she might get saved. Enzo Pineda has a really huge voting power, which reflected on the polls this week. If Shirubangers did not vote sufficiently, it must be Steven Silva's time to go.

There is no particular order in elimination. Like what happened to Sheena Halili elimination on Season 1, right after Jade Lopez, it can happen again. A boy or a girl can be eliminated.

I'd say Ian would be able to make it past the Final 6. This guy is the top contender next to Rocco but in the end, this might be Enzo-Rocco if Piero or Sef won't come back.

With the girls, I thought Diva Montelaba had this in the bag. But, I am giving Sarah Lahbati and Nina Kodaka a chance right now. Rox Montealegre just misses the standard to win this thing. She might be safe for a couple of weeks but I don't see her making it at the Final 6. She sure has to pray that a guy leaves again next week.

Looks like this week will be too close to call.

As for the boys, it looks like Steven and Enzo are inching up with each other. If the Survivors vote Enzo out, it is highly probable that Enzo Pineda will be eliminated tonight.

As for the girls, it's really too close to call. Nina, Sarah, Diva and Princess are just 0.2% away from each other. The Starstruck Voteout tomorrow will make a difference. Whomever has the most Survivors Vote Out votes tonight may be the one to bid farewell. This week, looks like Princess Snell will go home.

But the poll might just be inaccurate - and someone surprising leaves us tonight.

TALENT SHOWCASE

Rocco Nacino and Nina Kodaka with their drums.

Diva Montelaba had a sing and dance performance. She rocked it.

Sarah Lahbati had a similar performance - she's too nervous.

Ian Batherson had a guitar strumming experience. Kinda uninteresting.

Steven Silva had a take on Bakit Pa Ba? - he struggled because it's Tagalog.

Piero Vergara sang Sway. It would have been a fun performance if he made it flirty.

Princess Snell and Rox Montealegre had sexy dances - both had difficult time but remained poised and classy.

Enzo Pineda had a dance with the kids and he nailed it. Kinda reminds me of Marky Cielo.

Every Survivor is in the danger zone.
Viewer's Votes will be 60% of the total grade.
Starstruck Council votes will be 20%. Factor 2 powers suspended.

FOR THIS WEEK:

Bottom Three: Rox, Steven, Ian. Bottom three were Rox, Sef and Princess.

Best Actress: Diva Montelaba. Thought its Princess.

Wow. This is a night of surprises. I actually thought that the judges may really consider saving one of them. However, their actions tell me that FACTOR 3 might be a Starstruck Avenger Comeback wherein Sef Cadayona, who is actually a great dancer and a good singer and actor, would excel.

Yes, Sef Cadayona was the recent casualty in Starstruck V. It was also good to note that Princess Snell is now on her second week in the bottom three. That may be accounted to low viewer's votes as she did really well with her kiss flicks this week. There ain't demerit to bring her scores down, but VIEWER'S VOTES.

A stir in Rox Montealegre's face was seen when she was called. This girl might actually thought, despite her mediocre performance this week, that her viewers' votes would be enough. If she doesn't prove herself to be worthy on the Survivors arena, she might get the ax next week - as its Photoshoot Week and her tweetums image is nothing compared to Sarah or Princess giving a posh look, and Diva's exotic image. She can easily be outshone by them all.

Sef Cadayona is also a casualty because of VIEWER'S VOTES. And he's mediocre performance this week didn't help him too. But if FACTOR 3 is a Starstruck Avenger comeback, he has the best chance to claim it. Time it with an Ian Batherson automatic elimination, and well have a fun week come Final 8.

P.S. Please change the hosts. I can tolerate Carla Abellana a bit but Dennis Trillo looks like he's going to poo while hosting. I miss Nancy Castiliogne and Dingdong Dantes. Anyone agree?

MAKEOVER WEEK

The Final 14 had their makeovers: there were a lot of the 14 Survivors which were made nicer, while some looked worse.

Nina Kodaka looks like Barbie Hsu of Meteor Garden. Princess Snell had a fiery makeover while Sarah Lahbati got fierce and looks like a sexy contra bida potential, ala Iwa Moto, to me.

For the boys, Ian Batherson looked worse as well as Rye Burgos. Major changes to Piero Vergara, Rocco Nacino and Steven Silva.

COMMENTS:

Steven has that Chris Martin of Season 2 and Christian of Season 1 vibe making me think he'll be a mid-show casualty.

Rox doesn't get noticed much - she's okay, but I'll be really surprised if she's gonna be like Jennylyn which was UTR at first and then boomed at the last stage of the competition.

FACTOR FIVE INTRODUCED

The Factor Five is a series of twists for this season. The first season's twist was unraveled as an automatic elimination will be given to the survivor which will be in the bottom three for three consecutive weeks.

Another twist was revealed as the judges has the option to suspend eliminations if they think that a deserving survivor is in the bottom three and is in danger of being eliminated too early in the competition.
