And it can be afraid of having others invest in his/her business. It has to be uncontrollable, what I mean by that is that the business owner needs to seize opportunities all the time. 7) Learn to use your resources

Most of your resources come from time, money, people, and assets. Time is the most valuable resource that you have. It is much more valuable than money. You are in business to survive and be able to live in a dignify manner. However, you also need to understand that if you don’t put enough time for your business to grow, it will never do it. You need to be able to run and fit your business around your life not the other way around. For that reason as a business owner, it is advisable to manage your personal time and your business life in the most efficient way possible. Money is the second most important resource; therefore, a budget is important for you to best manage that particular resource. Plan your buys, and expenses ensure that you are never over-budget. People is the third most important resource that you have. You need to be able to socialize with like minded people. People that have never been in business before will discourage you and will lead you in the wrong path. Like-minded people are always willing to help! Assemble your team, and ensure they are reliable. At first your team will consist of you, yourself, and no one else. That is because people like to see results before they can start depending on you. It is a logical human reaction. So don’t be upset at the situation. 8) Do what you love

Don’t ever go into business for the sake of making money alone. You need a purpose, a reason why you are doing it. If your “why” isn’t big enough you will not have the stamina to sustain the hardships of your business venture. Being an entrepreneur is hard enough as it is, for you to start something that you hate. I mean it is not logical, it doesn’t make any sense that you go on a business venture that you hate. Don’t ever set yourself for failure that way. Never, get into a business venture just for the money alone. Something in your life that business has to fulfill, other than financial independence.

9) Learn the process of selling and accounting

Selling a product or service is not enough, if you don’t have some type of accountability system where you know how much you spent, and how much you’ve gain you are spinning your wheels and wasting your time. It doesn’t matter how much you make. What it matters is how much of what you make, you can be able to keep. That is the basis of financial freedom. Selling is a process of transference of feeling, if you can be able to develop the communication skills of putting in someone else’s mind that they need what you have, or what you can offer, than you are selling. The transaction made from a customer to you is called a “buy!” Selling it’s not the transaction of good or services for currency. So in essence, the way to get income is to figure out how many people you can find that needs what you have to offer, and how many of them can trust you enough to “buy” from you! The reason why I brought this up is because people like to buy product, and services, but they never, like to be sold. So make sure you are in this head-space when you are negotiating your products or services.

10) Develop working habits for your business

Finally, a business is more than a job, but it requires for a business owner to develop working habits. He/she is the leader of the company; therefore, the business owner must set the example of whatever, it is that he/she wants done. If the business owner is the one putting up the rules he/she should never be the one bending it. I mean, this is logic 101. The business owner should be the first one coming to work and the last one to leave his/her place of business. He/she should know each and every one of the job description necessary to make the business system work. He/she should know the services, at the same time the business strategies needed for the business venture to compete and survive. It is highly encourage that no business owner should be involved in any business venture that he/she doesn’t understands. Therefore, he/she must constantly be listening and learning about his/her craft. Patience, is a virtue and believing is powerful.

One last note. Anyone can take away your job, but no one can’t take away your business.

Here is what I believe is the reason why there are so many people in this world that can’t be able to become billionaires. It’s because there are three most important factors in every human being life that will prevent everyone from doing anything. To me there are three factors on a regular person that prevent them to become what they want to be in their life.

There first and most important factor is “yourself.” Henry Ford use to say: “If you believe you can, you are right! If you believe you can’t, you are also right!” Which brings a lot of logic, whether you’re thinking to be a businessman or an employee whatever you believe you can be, that’s what you are and there is no doubt about it!

The second factor is the people around you. Unfortunately, the company that you chose to be with will greatly influence your destiny. There is an anonymous adage that says: “people will either make you or break you.” To me, it is a fact of life; I have lived it all the time. “Tell me who you are with, and I’ll tell you who you are!” If you’re associated with people that will always be negative, you will always be negative. If you’re associated with people that are always positive, you will always be positive.

And the third factor is the situation, the current circumstances, your starting point whatever you chose to call it. You can call it the “situation”, can call it “circumstances”, “ Zen”, “God”, “Buddha”, “Yin Yang”, “Law of Attraction”, “Law of Physics”, “Law of Resistance or Friction”, “Law of Supply and Demand”, The economy” whatever… Unfortunately, there are circumstances beyond our control that will prevents a person to get what he wants to get or be what he wants to be in his life.

One thing is true though, everything in life takes “TIME!” There is always a “PROCESS” to do things. Only those who are willing to go through the “Process” and spend their “TIME” to be what they want to be and do what they want to do with their life will always have greater chance to get what they want in life. The only thing certain in life is death; everything else is an “OPPORTUNITY.” Every day you have a 50% chance to get closer or farther from your goals in life, it all depends on what you decide to do. Another, thing is true, the greater the goal you want, the greater the time you need to spend on it, that’s why things don’t come easy.

Only you can decide for yourself to go after what you want; to go after what makes you happy. Not every person in this world is looking to become a billionaire, not every person in this world is looking to become a hobo. However, one needs to “be careful what one whish for because one might get it!” Last but not least, there is a fact that bears truth when you talk about success, and that is: “success is the journey not the destination.”

I apologize to all my readers since I've been out for quite some time now. I have bee doing a lot of research to find out different ways to bring traffic into my blog. What I find out is that there are two ways to do it! You or ether pay for it of work for it. To pay for traffic you have the old Google AdWord. However, I have not worked with Google AdWord before and I don't intent to do it so far. So I don't know how good this program is. Nevertheless, I do have work with BidVertiser. This is a very good company. This company has a unique new feature that is call On-Site-Bid Per Click.

That way I know how many people are viewing my splage page and how many peoples are visiting my conversion page.

Interviewing the Neighborhood

I started interviewing people close to me at school and in my neighborhood about what it takes to have your own business or at least to be dependent on your own marketing and selling skills to survive and make a living.

What I learn was that there is a lot of attitude involved. Positive attitude I should say! The first person I interviewed was an accountant. I asked him, how did he made the leap of faith? You know, how was the transition between working for some one, than working for themselves? He told me that it was a big deal. He wanted to start by the beginning of the tax season of 2005; however, circumstances during that time complicated his plans and he was unable to start during that year.

He has received the first raft of working on his own. He didn't even had the opportunity to start during that year! It was not until the next year's tax season 2006 that he was able to start his accounting business. Nevertheless, I asked him what was the way he started, how he gave that leap of faith. Did he left the job and started looking for clients or what did he do?

He told me that he started looking for clients while he was working. He build up a client-base big enough to pay for his personal expenses and his business expenses, only then he left the job.

The other person I interview was a merchant,who sells coffee in New York city. He told that the way he sells his coffee is that he has to learn real good his rout. Then if he finds out a new convenient store in his area he would go inside the store and speak with the manager of the store giving away the benefits of getting his product and then he would asked for the opportunity to supply the store with coffee. This is a very simple, but effective way to produce an account.

Watching The Big Idea Friday Night!

Yesterday I was watching the Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, featuring Donald Trump and the topic was Road Map to American Dream. One of the things that were embedded into my mind was when Donny Deutsch asked Mr. Trump: “What was the secret of your success Mr. Trump?” and Mr. Trump said to him: “Three things! Number One, never give up. Number two, love what you do and number three know your product.”

I will try to elaborate a little bit more in those three points for a better understanding. One definitely needs those three elements when starting a new business. Starting from number one: “Never Give Up.”

“Never give up” means get to cope with the present reality and have the courage to change the future. You see every, one of us has strengths and weaknesses. “Never giving up” phrase it’s knowing one’s weaknesses and be able to improve upon them every day. At the same time, “never giving up” is depending on one’s strengths to survive every day. These words of “never give up” might not mean anything to someone who feels secure in a 40-hour job, where there is little financial risk on a day-to-day basis. When that someone knows that he or she will get pay by next payday no matter what he or she does. But it means a lot more to people who every day is out in the market “hustling” for a sale. It’s a whole different world when one is self-employed. When one is walking in faith! Only then the “never giving up” phrase becomes alive and has a new meaning. It is not easy to coupe with rejection when one is out in the market selling. Knowing that one has a 50% chance to sell your service or product to someone that day.

When one is only paid by performance, which means commission only, one tends to appreciate more one’s craft much more than when one has a job. I believe that the “challenge” factor is very important for people to feel better about themselves and there craft.

That takes one to the second element: “Love what you do.”

“Loving what you do” means to have the discipline not just to perform one’s craft all the time, but to enjoy performing one’s craft all the time with out complaints. It is having fun while performing one’s craft all the time during profitable days and not so profitable days.

Last but not list is “Knowing your product.”

“Knowing your product”: means knowing every aspect of your product or service. How does it work? What it does? What are the benefits that it offers and drawbacks it has? What is the best way to market it? Who will be one’s target customer? One should go where the target customer it is most likely to be. Be able to network and create strategic partnership with others in the markets that are close to where one’s market target customer is most likely to be.

David Knox, a 25-year real estate trainer says: “ He who does not take any risk in life should go out to the morgue and wait!” Well in essence he is right literately, every step one takes is a risk. Learning how to take risk is very essential. One has to realize that that one does not go into business to fail but there is a certain risk one has to take. There is nothing wrong about taking risks as long as one has a well-developed plan behind it. It is true that the bigger the risk the bigger is the reward. However, considered that the liability is as big as the reward. The key is how much liability one is willing to handle.

How you take a calculated risk? Always keep in mind that what you don’t know will hinder you. What you do know and don’t take care of will hinder you as well. What does this means? It means that one constantly needs to be learning. One needs to get organized. Here is a couple of other risk taking ideas that can help you coup with your venture: Risk Taking Ideas!

Here is some of my pep talk, tips of handling risk. Whenever one is deciding to take any course of action, I advice you considered answer the following questions. These questions cannot be measure in a scale. However, it will give one an inside direction of what should one do and where should one go?

1) What is your purpose in life?
§ This question tries to answers what it makes one happy. What does success means to one? Before one makes any decisions in life, one needs to be happy with oneself before taking any course of action. I learn that the hard way. One does not need to answer this question right before making a decision. It is recommended that one answer the question way in advance. Therefore, whenever a decision comes in ones way this question turns out to be just a reminder of what it is that it makes one successful, what it is that it makes one happy in life?

2) What are you going to do?
§ This question tries to answer the course of action. The decision that one intent to take. At this point one has not taken the decision yet. One is just considering courses of action as options. It could be one or many at one time.

3) What do you have and what do you need to have?
§ This question tries to answer or make a list of those ingredients or things that one needs to acquire in order to take that course of action. What skills one already has and what skills one has to acquire? What things one already has that are needed for the course of action and what things one needs to acquire? What is the cost of the things or ingredients that one has and the things or ingredients that one needs to acquire?

4) Does it goes a long with what your purpose in life is?
§ This question tries to align one’s course of action with what one’s purpose in life. This is important because there are a lot of opportunities out in the world. However, not all the opportunities out there will be appropriate for one’s purpose. It is not recommended that ones takes on all the opportunities there are because then one will be starting a vicious cycle. And if one tries to take on an opportunity or a course of action different than what one’s meaning of success is, guess what? One’s chances to be successful or happy with one’s self diminish quickly!

5) How does this help you accomplish your purpose?
§ This question obligates one to really look at the how one is putting this possible course of action in line to build one’s success. If one can put the plan together in writing the possibilities of accomplishing one’s purpose in life increase greatly! Not all the time one will be able put a plan in writing. However, it will help tremendously, if one can always include this questions in the decision making process.

6) What are the advantages and what are the disadvantages?
§ I recommend that one be thorough with this question. This is a decision making tool that can help you enormously. The concept is that if the advantages taking this decision are more than the disadvantages then go for it and vise versa. Nevertheless, try to give each criterion a numbering system to weigh the importance as well. As one goes a long writing the advantages and disadvantages. Give each criterion a number from 1 to 5. The number 1 represents “not so important” and the number 5 represents “very important.” Once one finishes writing down the advantages and the disadvantages and giving it value, add all the number value in both columns. If the number value is more in one column than the other, then one knows if the decision is favorable or not. If the number values is equal in both columns, then count the number of entries to find out which column has more entries to decide which course of action is more favorable. This decision-making is very effective in taking quick decisions. Very rarely one will find one’s self in the dilemma of having the same amount of entries and the same value amount. It is time to go onto the next question and think a little bit beyond this problem.

7) Are you going to hurt someone in the process?
§ This is a yes or no question. One have to realize that every time that one makes a decision one is benefiting someone and hurting someone at the same time. This goes beyond the physical realm into the spiritual realm. I’m going to elaborate more in the future about this topic. However, let me give an example of what I’m trying to say. There is a natural law named Karma, Dictionary.com defines it as “The total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of the person's existence, regarded as determining the person's destiny.” In other words, “what goes around comes around.” Years ago I decided to go into the military because I wanted to use the experience and discipline I wanted to acquired at the time for my own convenience. Everyone was happy of my decision with the exception of my mom. She was worried about me going into the military! She did not want me to leave home! I did not realize it then, however up until today that I’m out of the military, she still troubled because I’m away. That is just an example, now others would say, “but you have to leave and do your life.” That is definitely right! However, there has been time when I really need her support and I don’t have her around! That is an example of Karma!

8) How many people are you going to hurt in the process?
§ This is a number question. One needs to realize how many people one is going to hurt in the process. Remember every decision that one makes can benefit some and hurt others. So at this point you are trying to realize what number amount, the more people one hurts the more damage one is causing.

9) Who are the people, if there are any?
§ At this stage one is figuring out who is it that one is hurting. When one knows the people that are getting hurt, one tends to give that criterion a lot of weight. Getting to know the people may or may not change ones decision. Once you are done thinking about the people you might hurt, answer the questions 7 through 9 with the people you might benefiting. Ask those question in a positive way. Are you benefiting someone in the process? How many people are you going to benefit in the process? And who are the people you are benefiting, if there is any?

10) Up to what extent will be de damage or the benefit?
§ This questioning will lead one to measure the impact of the decision. In both degree and length in time.

11) What are the consequences that you foresee in the future?
§ This question will help one to think in the consequences. It is recommended to make a list of consequences you can see happening in the future about one’s decision.

12) Are you willing to accept the consequences?
§ Once one have seen the future through the consequences that are most likely to happen then it is decision time. It is time to accept the consequences. In this question helps to debate weather to accept or not the consequences of that decision?

13) Is it worth it?
§ This question is a yes or no question. It takes one back to the past to answer this question. Is it worth it? Is it aligned with my definition of success? Am I willing to live with the consequences, and the benefits?

14) How and why is worth it?
§ Explain how? By explaining how is it worth it, one should be more in peace. If there any trouble in one's mind about the decision that one is making then, it will be wise to go back and re think the situation.

15) What have you decided after all?
§ Last but not least, I’m sure that when one get to this question, one may have readjust so much the decision that one have started with, that it might not be de same. But at least, the decision will be wiser!

These are not set-in-stone guidelines however these questions may help enormously in any decision that requires thorough thinking! You don’t need to answer all of the questions if you don’t want. However, one questions builds upon the next one.

Things One Needs To Take In Consideration

It’s true that, like Robert Kiyosaki says: “You don’t need money to make money what you need is an idea.” You can always come up with anything and if you know how to sale it, people will come up with the income to buy it from you. You can always come up with OPM (i.e. other people’s money). However, one thing is certain cash has to come out of somewhere, and nine times out of ten cash will come out of your efforts. It doesn’t matter if is directly (i.e. coming out of one's pocket) or indirectly (i.e. coming out of other peoples' pockets). Here is why!

The first thing one needs to consider is counseling, unless one have a family member that is willing to provide his or her professional service as a business lawyer, or accountant putting their title and experience on the line. Willingly to give you guidance for free, and accepting the liabilities that one may encounter as a business owner with the government, creditors, suppliers, and employees (if your planning to get some); then I say go right ahead. However, you have to realize that “if you want it you have to go and get it.” Counseling is a very important expense but it will get keep one out of trouble. Before you start buying anything, do yourself a favor go and get some counseling. Pay someone qualify in business law and/or accounting to help you set up the business entity that best fits your needs.

You might say: “Well I don’t need none of that. I because I joined XYZ business they already have all those systems in-place.” I would say: “Smart move” Nowadays, there are some systems like: MyPowerMall that can let you joint for free, as long as you are willing to bring in the people into the business. Face it, one need to acquire all the time management skills, the accounting skills, the marketing skills, the selling skills, and the planning skills possible before one ventures out on its own. And this people can give most of these skills to you for free. All you need to put in return is a little effort to bring-in people into the system. Let me tell you a little secret, even if one decide to go back to college for a Masters Degree in Business and Administration, you are not going to be able to learn all there is about business. Therefore, your constant education is indispensable. The business concept is changing all the time and if one wants to be in business, one needs to be ready to embrace change constantly.
