Just for today, don't think about HOW. Be completely agnostic about the HOW. Let it go. There are a million ways your WHAT can come true. When you try to manage the HOW, you limit the ways it can happen. HOW is worry thought. WHAT and WHY are passion thoughts.

Why is it so important to keep a journal?

Here are just a few of the benefits
a personal journal will provide you:

* A journal will remind you of your goals and the actions you are
taking towards them every day. Your are writing down your goals
for 2013, right?

* It allows you to factually track your progress as you head closer
towards your goals. Here is an example. Suppose you had
set a new goal to lose 20 lbs in the next 3 months. Record your
weight in your journal each day, you will now be able to see
trends in your weight loss that you would not have seen
without the journal.

* It provides detailed information such as dietary changes,
calorie reductions, fat reduction, and so on.

* It helps build your self-esteem because you are reaffirming the
positive benefits you are achieving as you get closer to your goals.

* It helps to paint the picture every day of who you are becoming.

* When you see positive results as they happen, you will become
energized with optimism.

Here are a couple of simple journal tips:

Keep a simple, short log , it's easy, and it usually only takes
1 minute of your time. Each day, make short entries into your
journal, list such things as your attitude, emotions, diet, weight,
responses to situations and conditions in your life.

For example, if having a healthy heart is one of your goals, you
will want to keep track of your cholesterol levels, your blood pressure, your
weight. (Obviously, all of this data would not be recorded daily, but some
entry would be recorded each day)

Try this simple little exercise.
Get out a note pad or a sheet of paper and a pencil. Look at your
watch. When the second hand hits 12, start timing yourself as you write
down the following information:

1/25/13 Fri.-Felt great all day. Started habit 52. Weight 135
pounds. Walked briskly for 20 minutes. Had healthy almonds and
nuts for snacks.

More then likely, you completed writing down the information in
approximately 1 minute. Yet, in that 1 minute, you created an
important snapshot of important data in your life. You now have
historical data you can refer to as time goes by, to help you track your
progress as you move towards your life goals.

I know how well this works. For the past 6 years, I have kept a
simple, yet informative log of every day of my life. I can tell you exactly
how I felt on Wed., July 25,1999, or any day since. I can look back
and see how I reacted to issues in my life and what helped
me overcome an illness, injury or stressful period in my life.

It generally takes me less then two minutes to record the log for
any day. It is a habit that has become a part of my life; it is now second
nature for me. If you have a computer, I recommend typing just three to four lines
of descriptive text into a word processing program each day.

Are Positive People Annoying?

As often as possible, I'm a look-on-the-bright-side kind of girl. I choose to be grateful for whatever I have, instead of focusing on the have-nots. I view life's challenges as blessings-in-disguise because of the lessons attached to them. I have not always viewed life through this lens, but as a result of shining the light on my own negative thought patterns over the years, I've learned to keep a positive outlook and have gained more happiness and inner peace. I love to share my optimism with others and it is usually well-received. But, this type of a disposition is not for everyone. As a matter of fact, some even find positivity to be annoying. I know! I was surprised too. I mean, who doesn't want to be happy? And who doesn't want to be surrounded by other happy people? People who are having a rough time, that's who.

You see, happiness is a choice, but we sometimes forget. There are plenty of things in life that are less than perfect and we could just as easily choose to be happy or unhappy about them. A trait that many happy people share is the ability to accept things as they are. While we don't have control over everything that happens in the outside world, we can control what happens inside of us: how we choose to think, feel and react to those outside situations. The quality of our lives is determined by those very thoughts and actions. So, why do some deny the truth that we all can have and deserve peace and happiness? Because, flipping the switch can actually be difficult at first, especially when no other way is known.

The way we are conditioned to think is a culmination of events, circumstances and learning experienced throughout our lives known as limiting beliefs. This belief system has taught us to compare ourselves to others, to be competitive, to doubt ourselves, and to choose fear over love in many situations. Chronically unhappy people tend to share the inability to see the world outside of their own foggy lens. They have a perceived tough life or circumstances. And by some measures, this perception may be based in truth. But, in reality, nobody has a perfect life, and we are much too hard on ourselves. It's only in our own minds that this suffering exists. We must move forward from our past challenges because they don't define us nor determine our future. For somebody trapped in a negative thinking cycle, however, the optimism, certainty and fearlessness of a positive-thinker can seem unbelievable and, yes, even downright annoying. They don't realize that they too can reverse their limiting beliefs and shake off their negative energy field.

One of the engrained beliefs that many have is that there is a limited supply of wealth, health, happiness -- you name it. So, when they see somebody else exuding one of these traits, instead of being inspired thinking, "I can have this too" they instead go to a place of, "oh great, he/she got all the fill-in-the-blank, and there's none left for me," which stirs up negative feelings like resentment, jealousy and self-loathing. These feelings, in turn, tend to manifest into negative actions such as gossiping, self-victimizing or belittling what others have worked for. Unfortunately, exuding this type of negative energy tells the Universe, "I don't want or deserve to be happy," and further blocks positive energy and happiness from coming in. We don't get what we want, we get what we are. The cycle repeats and one becomes trapped with a proverbial grey cloud over their head. But, it doesn't have to be this way!

For me, it has taken much practice and commitment to unlearn many of my own limiting beliefs, and I, of course, still have bad days and grumpy moods just like everybody else. But, in practicing mindfulness, I'm able to notice these negative thoughts more quickly, give myself an attitude adjustment, and am much better off because of it!

If you are finding yourself trapped in negative thinking patterns and want out, here are some tips to help break the cycle:

Embrace a willingness to change. Be open to a different way of thinking. This is a must and can only come from within. "No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path." -- Buddha

Be able to face the truth. Nobody likes coming to terms with their own fears and negativity, but the only way to chase out darkness is to shine light on it. Free writing is a good way to get to the heart of these blocks. Be open and honest. Ask yourself: What is the negative story I've created for myself? How have I abused myself with my own thoughts? In your writing, you will find that, in our own minds, we can be downright nasty to ourselves sometimes!

Forgive yourself and others. Beating yourself up about past negative thoughts and behavior is a negative thought and behavior, and a counter-productive one at that. The same goes for holding grudges against others -- you are only hurting yourself by holding onto that negative energy. It's never too late to start again. Focus on letting go and being joyful in this present moment while embracing the endless possibilities of the future that lies ahead.

Choose an attitude of gratitude. We all have so much to be grateful for if we just take the time to look around and soak it all in. From the sun that rises each morning, to the ability to get out of bed and breathe in the air another day, and to being fortunate enough to have all of our basic needs met, we are surrounded by miracles. We, ourselves, are one. Appreciate!

Practice mindfulness. Become aware of your negative thoughts as they come. A meditation practice will help greatly in mindfulness training. You can also try this: Wear a special bracelet on your wrist. Each time you notice yourself having a negative thought, switch the bracelet to the other arm. At first, you might find yourself constantly switching the bracelet back and forth throughout the day. Those little negative buggers creep in constantly, from being stuck in traffic to experiencing a business deal that doesn't go as expected. But, over time, you will switch the bracelet less and less as you develop an increased awareness. By noticing these negative thoughts as they come, you can stop them from occurring as often and adopt a more positive mindset.

Be of service to others. Being able to help someone else in need is rewarding in itself, but it's also an incredibly humbling way to shift our own perceptions on life. We are more blessed than we know, and helping others who are struggling helps to put things into perspective.

Accept. There is only so much we can control in our daily lives. The act of accepting reality as it is dealt to us is completely liberating. Save your energy for what you actually have control over.

The good news: Those who are open to it and willing to put in the work can change negative thinking patterns and have a life beyond their wildest dreams! Just work on it one day at a time and you will begin to see the beautiful shift.

Prosperous partnerships are created when both individuals bring their full expression to the community of two. Wherever you are with your beloved (or if you're getting ready to call in the 'one') here are 5 proven elements to successfully sharing divine love and your money lives.

An Inspiring Wealth Vision. A vision is the uplifting idea of a state of being that is spiritually meaningful, inviting, and appealing to you and your partner. A wealth vision includes your mutual definition of what financial wealth means to you. A strong vision also resonates with the spiritual qualities (the infinite, eternal attributes of the divine) that you are living from when you're at your best. For a couple, it's the big idea of why you're doing what you're doing with your money. When you have an inspiring wealth vision, you have a greater sense of meaning, passion, and shared intimacy with one another.
Common Financial Facts and Goals. It's essential to have accurate, fully disclosed facts in your financial partnership. Bankruptcy, divorce, and obligations from the past affect your current partnership. Discover a clear, common perspective about the actual flows of your income and expenses every month in your family, in your household, and in your businesses.

When you both are aware of the current state of your balance sheet and have a sense of your net worth, you have a mutual platform of information from which to make decisions. Mental and Emotional Teamwork. Consciousness creates experience. What we think, feel, say, and do in this moment, is the predictor, the creator of what we experience life to be. As a couple, your beliefs are not just individualized, but you have common beliefs that create your common experience. Beliefs evolve. As a team, develop a sense of growing together when it comes to what you choose to think and feel around your financial situation. Without the discipline to understand what your mental and emotional choices are, you will default to either replicating or rebelling against your past, family, ethnic, social, and religious conditioning. A partnership that's moving forward with excellence relies on teamwork in what you say, what you think, what you feel, and what you do. Trust builds. You can each be vulnerable, heal the past, and forgive. Then energy is released to choose, to affirm, to create new results in your money life.
Mutual Money Agreements. As a couple, clear agreements, roles and responsibilities in financial tasks are powerful in creating order and productivity. Each person makes specific commitments such as making purchases above a certain amount only with both partners' consent or agreeing that each partner gets money for a personal play account. Stay faithful and transparent with those agreements. When you know how you're spending, saving, investing, spiritual giving, paying the bills, and tracking your money, you can be much more effective in taking risks, making good decisions and being a bigger, better contributor in every area of your life.

THE PROJECT

Within each of us lies The Project.

An idea longing to be nourished, cherished, launched and completed.

Writing a novel. Starting an enterprise. Raising a family. Freeing a nation.

Our deepest desire is to do The Project. To express our vision. To carefully and patiently watch it unfold. To present it to those who will benefit by it. And to experience the pride of the job beautifully done.

Yet, a million distractions battle for our attention. And one hundred doubts fill our hearts. And so slowly and subtly, we recite the excuses that construct our reality. And we shelve The Project. Postponing it for a better day.

But postponing The Project is life's greatest lie.

Picasso and Basquiat, Einstein and Edison, Jobs and Jay-Z didn't wait for an ideal day to do their dream. They started. When it was hard. Though they had little. While they were alone.

So many of the world's troubles are symptoms of The Project undone.

Pain is the result of potential denied. And when you avoid The Project, you dishonour your gifts. Your Talents. Your Genius.

A portion of you goes numb. Silent. Quiet. Scared.

The moment you start The Project, everything shifts. Purpose, focus, passion and peace returns to your life. Eyes sparkle. Energy explodes. Inspiration flows. And your days become supported by coincidence, power and peak possibility.

Why Every Employee Should Consider Having a Side Business

As a network marketer, you probably already know about this, but here is a succinct and convincing way to present this idea to a potential partner:

Why you should have a business: We have two tax systems: one for employees designed to take your wealth and one for business, which is designed to create economic growth.

If you have a business, you can deduct your losses against any form of income as long as you run your business like a business and *materially participate* in running it.

Moreover, if your self-employed business loss exceeds your income for the year, you can either carry the loss back up to two years, and offset the last two year's taxes paid to the state and federal government or carry forward all business losses up to 20 years. Thus, you never lose properly documented business deductions.

*Materially participate* means that you either put in the substantial hours necessary in running your business or you put in at least 100 hours and more than anyone else, or you work in your business for at least 500 hours per year.

If you were to see who are the multimillionaires in this world, probably 85% of those have businesses. I am stunned at how many people work "like dogs" trying to get ahead in their company.

Frankly, I would recommend doing enough not to get fired and starting a side business with the extra time. Who knows, you might make enough to leave that business and dump your boss, which spelled backwards reads S.S.O.B.

People always ask, "What type of business should I set up?" My answer is to follow your passion. Find what you are good at and master it and learn to market it. There are many proven network marketing opportunities that don't require a lot of cash. The beauty of network marketing is that is comes with a built-in training program and you earn while you learn!

I'll finish up with the following statement my father taught me: "People get rich doing things others aren't willing to do—and doing them exceedingly well."

Give yourself permission to start over

How many times have you had to start over? Perhaps you had to do yet another 'fridge clean-out to help get your eating on track, or maybe you had to delete ol' boy's number…again. Or perhaps you had to take a job after months or years of being self-employed. Whatever the case may be, when you find that you set a goal for yourself and don't quite make it, instead of beating yourself up, press the refresh button and start again.

Recently, I wrote about giving yourself permission to start over. Too often we give ourselves one shot, or maybe three to get something right, when we really need 5 or 10, or however many it takes.

Life is about learning from our success and our failure in order to get to our ultimate goal and bouncing back when things don't quite go according to plan.

Had I not had the courage to start over you would not be reading this today. I wouldn't have decided to write professionally, I wouldn't have pitched article after article after being turned down, and I wouldn't have quit my Executive gig to pursue what I love.

While many people focus on the failure, there is power in the simple act of trying again. As long as you're breathing you have another opportunity to start anew and reach your goals, so why not take it?

Push the restart button, and go after those dreams!

To really help people in extraordinary ways, learn to deal in challenges. That is what sports is all about: challenges. That is what music is all about. Let's work on this together." See, I always respond better to "let's." Sometimes it is hard to lift yourself out. It's hard to be self-inspired at first. And if someone says, "Come on, let's start a new program." "Come on, let's do exercises." "Come on, let's get healthy." "Come on, let's start something. I'll be there, you be there, and you bring a guest and I'll bring a guest—let's start something." That is so inspiring to have somebody say "let's." "Let's do it." "Let's build a team." "Let's win the championship." "Let's walk off with the trophy."

"Let's." Wow, there is something about that that can keep you awake at nights. There is something about that that turns on the juices. There is something about that that reaches deep in the soul. For a person could do extraordinary things when somebody says "Let's." "Let's do it." "I've got two with me already; if you'll be the next one, we can conquer the world." You say, "Whoa, together nobody is a match for us." By yourself, you're vulnerable; but with us, nobody is a match. You say, "Wow! I want to belong to that team." So figure out ways to say "Let's."

If you already know the responsibilities of an entrepreneur, then you can assess if you can become successful in your home-based business. Working at home through a home-based business requires dedication and hard work. You must be able to monitor your finances, tasks, inventory, work schedules, and many others.

Being an entrepreneur is very appealing but not everyone has what it takes to become one. But if you think calling the shots is for you, one of the quickest and easiest ways to become a successful entrepreneur is by working at home through a home-based business. The best means to achieve your goal of full-time business ownership is to start on a part-time/spare-time basis, when possible.

As an employee working part-time on your home-based business, you qualify for more tax deductions than any other category of taxpayer. Some say that home-based businesses can be run without many problems. Well, they're very wrong because even with a hbb, you have to deal with certain business problems and risks. You can't eliminate such risks because that goes hand in hand with any business undertaking, both for home-based and traditional businesses. However, you can reduce the risks that you're bound to deal with in the future by choosing the best home-based business that will work for you.

Entrepreneurs are known to be self-starters. Organizing your time is a difficult task but if you want to run a home-based business, this is a skill you should master. Remember, you don't have a boss that you can rely on. This is your business and you have to be responsible for it at all times.

Running your own business would also mean that you have to deal with different personalities. You will surely encounter demanding customers, moody vendors, and an unreliable staff. To become a successful home-based business entrepreneur, you should know how to deal with them individually. You should know the quirks of every person that you encounter so that you can address them and the situation correctly. Ideally, if you are not a "people person" running any type of business can be difficult.

Running a home-based business is all about your attitude and character. According to some experts who conducted researches about the characteristics of entrepreneurs, there are certain traits that an entrepreneur should possess. As mentioned earlier, entrepreneurs are risk-takers, self-starters, and know how to deal with different kinds of people.

However, those traits and characteristics are not enough. You have to have more than that. Another trait that you should possess is being an excellent decision maker. Since you're the boss, you should be able to make quick yet effective decisions. Some situations are filled with pressures but despite the pressures, you still need to make an informed and wise decision. As owner of your business, you have no one else to rely on when it comes to business related decisions.

To be an effective home-based business entrepreneur, you must have lots of energy and a superior work ethic. Owning a business may even mean working late hours and on the weekends. However, you should view them as challenges and strive even harder. Your efforts will be rewarded once you see the profits rolling in. Be Specific When Asking For Referrals

Here is a useful tip about the use of language when asking someone for a referral.

Instead of asking:

Do you know anyone that would be interested in this opportunity or these products?

Ask instead:

Who do you know at work that is ambitious and wanting to get ahead, who would consider looking at this opportunity for themselves?

…or…

Who do you know that has challenges such as (name some problems your product will solve) and would consider looking at these (products) to make themselves (feel/look) better?

The first question is too vague. The word "anyone" leaves it too open. It needs to be narrowed down. Also, using the phrase, "that would be interested" requires someone to make a judgment and a decision for their friend or associate.

With questions framed like the second ones, you help the other person visualize and understand what you are looking for, and the only level of interest you're requesting is the willingness for someone to "consider looking".

This is much softer and less threatening.

Of course, once someone gives you a referral, you'll want to follow up as soon as possible. There's more about the best way to do this in Chapter 11 (on page 179) of "How To Sell Network Marketing Without Fear Anxiety Or Losing Your Friends" and in the audio program "12 Ways To Start Effective Conversations Without Fear."

The audio programs "Talking With Friends" and "Introducing Your Business And Products" are also great resources to help when you're talking with people about your business.

Asking for referrals is a great way to boost your business building and it's a good idea to make it part of your routine. What I've suggested in this article should help you get more and better quality leads.

There is a saying that states, "When you brand someone or categorize them, you take away their identity." I believe it's the same for most of us. Your subsequent action – whether it is subtle or not – will relay this message to the person you're talking with!

Isn't there a mixed message when we use words like these… and then go on to talk about the purpose of our business being to help other people solve their problems and realize their true needs? 1. People Are People, Not Objects!
If you treat people as objects to achieve your own desires, without real consideration for theirs, they'll return the discourtesy!

3. Personalize Your List Of Potential Partners and Customers

Take a blank journal and write out their names on the first page/s. Then list each name on the remaining pages, with each name having its own page. Write down as much as you know about them… personality type, style, motivations, desires, dissatisfactions…and so on. Take time. It's worth it.

Now approach them based on their individual style, motivations, needs wants or desires if you know them.

If someone on your list is 'business like' and likes to get to the point… get to the point! If another is quiet, take time to find out more about them and how they feel about where they are, at this moment in time. Ask questions and listen. Discover and help them (re)discover WHO they are and WHAT they want and why they want it.

Don't rush. Take your time. No one ever said you had to come to a conclusion in your first dialogue!

4. Use A Dialogue Guideline – Not A Script
People can tell when you're using some mechanical, unauthentic script written by someone else. It shouts out like a red warning light that the call is really about YOU and not them. It's no different than the digitized voice of a telemarketer who is parroting what someone told him/her to say. So be aware of doing this!

Instead: write down key questions or points and using them as guidelines instead of reading them. Use the Natural Selling Guideline that you'll find in my book to do this. This way you can use your own style and personality instead of someone else's.

5. There ARE Other 'Markets'
Think about whether talking with your friends is the best way to start a business. While friends and family can make excellent customers and partners, provided they are approached correctly, consider approaching other leads first.

The theater of the mind

The most effective marketing story isn't the one you tell to someone in your audience, it's the one the person tells himself.

Consider this no parking sign. Instead of stating the fine, the signmaker states the range of the fine. At this point, it's up to the observer to have a conversation with himself. "Well, maybe I'll just get a $50 fine. Hmmm, why would that happen? With my luck, it'll be the maximum... I'll just park somewhere else."

It's not an announcement, it's an invitation to a little internal drama.

Too often, we don't give people a chance to fill in the blanks.

In the event that you ask me to get a boring job, rely on the government to help me retire on a fixed income that's less than $2,500 a month knowingly that company will be either downsized or obliterated by the time I retire and also understanding they are under no law to pay me and they can file bankruptcy, work where I take 30min lunches for the rest of my life and be harassed for taking anything more than that, be afraid to take a chance and own my own business/businesses and employ other people instead of me being the employee, work for a place and barely make it financially while investing 6-10yrs of working for them that can possibly result in a fire/layoff then I have relied on something non reliable looking stupid in the face as head of the household. I will tell you to "GO TO HELL" because asking me to be a regular person, get paid hourly, not be in control of my finances will result in stressing me out from lack of personal goal achievement.

Empowering me to do anything less than being an overachiever is an insult because I didn't come out of my moms womb to be a financially illiterate, underachiever. Again, trading time for money is the absolute worst way to gain income.

"I would like to share with you how [my attorney] from [the Provider Law Firm], in Maine gave me my life back!

I am a single mom of 3 boys and wanting to raise my own children I started day care more than 20 years ago. I have been blessed with caring for many children over the years, but I NEVER expected the following to happen to me.

... On Friday, November 10, 2006 I received a phone call late in the afternoon from one of my day care moms telling me that her 11 year old son had gone to the school counselor and told the counselor that I had abused him, the other children in day care as well as my own 4 year old son and that the counselor had called the Dept. of Human Services to report me for abuse. The mother told me that she didn't believe what was being said but that the school made it very clear to her that if she didn't pull her kids out of my day care immediately then they could go at her for not protecting her children and she didn't dare go against the school or her son! I was totally shocked and panicked! I had cared for these children in my day care for 8 years and considered their mom one of my best friends.

The first thing I did was call LegalShield. Unfortunately, that Friday was a national holiday [Veteran's Day] and it was already 4:55 pm so any attorneys that had been in the office were gone but the gentleman who took my information told me that an e-mail would be sent to the attorneys and I would be sure to receive a phone call first thing Monday morning. My heart was in my throat. I had no idea how I would get through an entire weekend with this dark cloud over my head. This is where LegalShield rises above any other law firm out there ~

Within an hour or so of my call to the provider firm, I received a phone call from one of the leading attorneys saying he just opened his e-mail and when he saw what had happened to me he just had to call me and let me know what I should say/do over the weekend and that first thing Monday morning he was going to have [another attorney call me because she had more experience in this field. [This attorney] spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me bringing me from hysterical to reassured. He wasn't even going to be the attorney taking my case but he wanted to call and let me know they were there for me! Attorneys outside of LegalShield don't do that for their clients.

First thing Monday morning, [my attorney] called me and went over everything and again reassured me that I would be given the best service. I felt like my world was spinning out of control and [she] stepped in and took the wheel and regained control for me.

The state investigation lasted 3 months! Not only did they look at me as a day care provider but as a mother as well. My two oldest boys are grown and in college, but my youngest is only 4 years old and I'm raising him 100% on my own. My biggest fear was that the state would knock on my door and take him away from me pending this investigation. I was constantly looking over my shoulder, I was unable to sleep well and my stress level was through the roof. When I shared this with [my attorney] her reply was, "I want you to sleep and let me stay up and worry about this, that's my job." And you know what?? When I found myself worrying, I would remember her words and I would relax knowing I had the best on my side.

When I was questioned by the investigator in MY ATTORNEYS OFFICE, [she] did not put up with any nonsense from the questions being asked. I wish you could have been there to see her put her foot down, making him stay within his legal boundaries. Without legal representation I never would have known what I should/shouldn't answer.

On February 9, 2007 I received a call from [my attorney] telling me that I had been cleared of any and all charges. She was just as happy and excited to tell me, as I was to hear it. For 3 months I had been holding my breath and at that moment I felt the air start to fill my lungs again at the same time that tears filled my eyes. When I thanked [her] and told her that she had just given me my life back her reply was, "You always had you life, I just held your hand until you knew it." My gratitude for so many things was at an all time high! I asked [her] what I could do for her as a thank you for all she had just done for me and she said, "You just did it." But saying thank you just isn't enough. I received a level of quality care that I doubt the rich and famous get, and I got it for $26 a month! [My attorney] isn't just an attorney working at a Provider Law Firm, she has a true passion, LegalShield and what it represents.

Anyone working with children needs this membership! My life was turned upside down by an 11-year-old telling lies. I can't imagine the mental stress or the potential outcome without LegalShield!
