		<description>&lt;P&gt;The federal government has approved an extension of Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits. These extensions can be filed on or after July 6, 2008. Workers potentially eligible for extended benefits:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;  &lt;LI&gt;Are fully or partially unemployed on or after July 6, 2008,   &lt;LI&gt;Have exhausted their entitlement to a regular UI claim,   &lt;LI&gt;Are not qualified to file a new regular claim,   &lt;LI&gt;Have had a valid claim that began on or after May 7, 2006, AND   &lt;LI&gt;Meet all eligibility criteria. &lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/StateOfCaliforniaPortalHighlights/~4/329223825" height="1" width="1"/&gt;</description>

		<description>&lt;P&gt;For faster service, make an appointment before you visit a DMV office. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The online appointment system does not offer appointments for commercial behind-the-wheel driving tests. Please call &lt;STRONG&gt;1-800-777-0133&lt;/STRONG&gt;, during normal business hours&amp;nbsp;to speak with an agent to schedule a commercial behind-the-wheel driving test or to discuss alternative methods for completing the driver license written examination. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Most vehicle registration items may be processed through the mail or Internet and do not require an in-person visit to a DMV office.
