Since Apple is getting rid of MobileMe now that the iCloud is here, they aren't going to be hosting web pages anymore. There's also word that they may not support iWeb in the future so it's all blog from here. Some of the gallery links don't work anymore, so, I'm in the process of uploading the gallery pics to my Flickr account. Sorry for the inconvenience... Stay Fresh...

Google recently came out with an app for all you Android, iPhone, and iPad users last month. It's a great app that allows you to add any blog feed and see news trends all the at the tip of your fingers. I have it installed on my HTC EVO and I'm constantly check it out. It's a good way to keep up-to-date on current events, especially while I wait to get cable installed, oh how I miss TV right now. Check out the link below and get the app...it's FREE. Dome Fits - From the Bay to LA

Early Saturday evening, we found ourselves strolling the block on Fairfax & Melrose on the hunt for the infamous Johnny Cupcakes & Kid Robot stores. This is when we came across a New Kid on the Block, Dome Fits. This is Jason, the founder of Dome Fits, a new hat shop that specializes in fitted New Era's and snap backs.

Styles include the likes of Huf, Hella Tight, throwback sports teams, and exclusive Dome Fits originals. Jason turns out to be a Bay Area transplant and had only been in the area for 3 1/2 weeks.

Aside from the unique inventory, every customer can get a little bit of culture in their life and get a glance at this original art piece done by the renowned Polish street artist Swanski. Jason told us when he moved in, the wall on his store front was a little too plain for the Dome Fits steez, so he came across a guy painting a house in the area. He approached the painter and after a short conversation, he negotiated a deal to commission this gentlemen to paint the blank wall on his store front. When the job was done the painters' compensation was literally the cost of paint and some hats from the store. Swanksi must have gotten a kick out of the fact that Jason wasn't familiar with who he was, which would probably explain how much of DEAL he got for this personalized work. Not only is Dome Fits the spot to get your hands on some exclusive hats, it's now an LA Street Art landmark. Welcome to the neighborhood guys!

The Hundreds...

We made our way out to the Hundreds warehouse sale this past Saturday. It was about a two hour wait in line, but it was definitely worth the wait. Ate a full pack of toffee peanuts, and we were good to go. Bobby Hundreds even came out and chopped it up with us and a few other folks for a little. He's a real cool, down to earth guy, and you can tell the success never got to his head.

He mentioned how people camped out for two days and said, "one guy only spent 50 bucks, and said it was worth the wait."

D-Pac and I had to paparazzi it up with Bobby Hundreds...

The aftermath, after people rummaged through all the boxes. Bobby Hundreds said for day two, they were going to have a new shipment of goods to sell. I was tempted to go again...

This guy...Stevie aka Magic...told me the day before, "yeah bro, I'm just going to bring a bill with me, gotta limit myself..." Ten hats and a load of stuff later...haha, one happy customer. He even wanted to hop out the car and sing his joys with the choir on the sidewalk.

My goods. I had way more stuff, but I had to get my impulse control on and throw stuff back in.

Dianne and I checked out the Hollywood Christmas Parade on Hollywood Blvd this past Sunday. It was a long quarter of a mile walk (if that), but it was worth every millimeter of rubber from the bottoms of our soles. We where at a little staging area were everyone would pass through to get to the main event. I was able to take some photos of the rich and famous that came through. Maybe I should take up a part time job in the paparazzi biz...haha...I'm in the right place!

LA Auto Show 2011

What a perfect time to relocate out to LA. First, a vintage BMW show, and now, the LA Auto Show. Saturday night we hopped on the Metro and took a nice walk down to the Convention Center and saw a bunch of fun looking places that we need to go back to for a date night. There's a lot going on in that part of town.

Once we got in, the fun began. We hit every hall (I hope) checking out all the production cars and the sweet looking concepts. The one car I was hoping to see, the BMW i8 Concept, was there and I loved it. The concept that caught my eye was the Subaru BRZ, and all I can say is...beautiful. The car I want right now at this moment as a daily, the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series...money! It was a good show, better than the SF show I went to last year. All the shiny paint and fresh smelling interiors satisfied the hunger.

A day with an Elefant...

Thank you to Harlan, Ray, and Jenny from Elefant Supply Co. for letting me hang out with them at the SoCal Vintage BMW meet. They have a lot of buzz in the BMW community and it showed with the people coming by the booth. This is my first video by the way, if you can't already tell. I'm hoping to be able to make more and do it right.

Great weather and nice cars, what more could you ask for. Enjoy the video.

The Wallace Wedding...

I know they've been official for a few weeks now, but how official is it if they don't have the photos to prove it! I truly had a great time shooting the Wallace's wedding in Yountville. The ceremony was one to remember, set out on the lawn in a great location with beautiful scenery. They kept it short, sweet and to the point, then it was on to the party. They had good entertainment on top of some really good food (a "candy bar" at a wedding should be a requirement), and they couldn't have asked for better friends and family to be part of this special day.

Congratulations to Ross and Stephanie! I wish you both the best!

A few more days are counting down until Ross and Stephanie become newlyweds. I had a great time shooting this great couple out in Napa! A big thanks to the both of them for giving me this opportunity! They were able to provide a beautiful location at a friends house. The house was not your average neighborhood home in the suburbs. It is a custom built house on a hill with their own personal vineyard and a great view of Napa! I'd love to wake up every morning to a cup of coffee and the view they have. Thank you to Dan and Shay for letting us use their home and for their hospitality.

The BIG Stoneridge Meet 2011

I checked out "The BIG Stoneridge Meet" last week, and YES, it was BIG. The biggest car meet I've ever been to. I don't know if there was ever an official count, but it was a sea of cars that packed the huge parking lot. We rolled in at about 730pm and there were already 100+ cars! Anyone who rolled in after 8 were stuck driving around hoping for a spot. Here's the few cars I took shots of (check the gallery too). The sun came down quick and it was a wrap.

Much props to Lawrence Maerina and Darrell Sian for spreading the good word and making this happen!

the White Elefant in the Room...

Indeed...a hard one to pass up and ignore...

Met up with Harlan and Ray from Elefant Supply Co. at this years Bay Area 02 Swap & Show. After talking to Harlan a week prior, checking out what they had in the works, he mentioned they were heading up here in a 2002 for a show. After checking out Ray's 2002 on their blog, I made it a mission to head out to Brisbane to catch up with Harlan, meet his brother, and add this beauty to my photo collection (I wish in my garage).

Much props to them for making the long trek from Los Angeles to the Bay in this S14 powered beast. True Bimmer fanatics!

I had the opportunity to meet Daniel at this years Bay Area 02 Swap and Show. I was actually there to shoot a different 2002, then found out that Daniel wanted in too. A Sweet Tooth for Candy White...

Finally, after trying to coordinate a shoot for the past few months, everything fell into place today. Darrell's Candy White GTI has always been on the top of my list. After the bag install and a fresh new interior, well...it went to the "top" top of the list. A head turner for sure. I've watched people make double and triple takes, followed by a LONG STARE and a dropped jaw.

We set out to good ol' Mare Island and went to a spot that I've used once before, but have always wanted to re-shoot using strobist.

Stance:Nation Feature w/ Danny's Bagged Rabbit

I had the pleasure of shooting Danny's bagged Rabbit exclusively for Stance:Nation.

Last week Danny hit me up looking for a photographer to shoot his car for a possible feature. Looking for more opportunities to bust out the camera and get more exposure, I hopped on it quick. I've always loved Danny's ride and bugged him about doing photo work for a while, but his car was always in the works. His "in the works" paid of nicely. I met up with Danny, and his girlfriend Carlee, and had a mission to find a spot.

We drove through the hills in the Berkeley/El Cerrito area, but ended up landing near the water in the Berkeley marina. The timing was just right to capture the sun coming down, a shot I've always wanted to try out with strobes. Once the sun disappeared, it left and a nice colorful sky in the backdrop. What more could I ask for...
