Stay Hatin is back at it for 2013! Soft Money and Serg got all kinds of things they are trying to make happen for the badluck13. Maybe even too much. Fucking sound effects, intros, more guests, maybe even a desk! Anyways this show has all kinds of mistakes, primarily when Serg was attempting to check the time of the recording the recording stopped and when it started back up it started recording over the beginning of our show so we lost the first two songs and part of the introductions. So now this show starts with a disclaimer explaining that but also because I didn’t feel like hooking up a mic to my laptop even the disclaimer has an issue, it’s not terrible but whatever mistakes are mistakes, live with it. I could rerecord that shit but I’m just trying to get this goddamn show posted already.

Well this is probably the least professional sounding episode to date because we really need Matthew’s guidance but we have to press on. This is our tribute show to our friend and co-host Matthew Africa. We decided to invite some friends of Matthew’s down to share some memories and music. Considering this is Stay Hatin we couldn’t just have a sob session so this episode is plenty of angry obnoxious raps, some new rap, some old rap but mostly a lot of talking and laughs. Oh and I just realized when compiling the tracklist, this episode ended up going pretty heavy on the Waka Flocka, sorry Matthew but that’s what happens when you leave me in control.

This episode actually aired live on All Day Play Friday night, which is where we record most of our shows if you don’t know. Since this was a live show I am just posting it as is so we’re not talking over instrumentals which was something Matthew would always add later so we didn’t just come off like a room full of goons yelling at each other.

As I’ve posted before Soft Money and me will be continuing with the show and try keep things interesting. There might be some changes in how we do things but we’ll do our best. Matthew did make it easy for us so there are some challenges but I think if we just try remember to do things the way Matthew did then we’ll be fine.

Episode 20 

So let’s get this out of the way— THIS EPISODE OF STAY HATIN’ IS FUCKED UP.

What happened was, instead of taping at All Day Play’s facilities like we usually do, we recorded in Serg’s kitchen and made a little error regarding mic levels.  Or a series of big errors, we don’t know.  What we do know is that for much of the podcast it sounds like Matthew or Matthew and Serg are trying to scream through a broken drive-thru window.  So, yes, the sound quality this time is very based.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Stay Hatin’ crew sits down with a real live actual woman, plays lots of raunchy new raps and dissects the genre of rap jams for the ladies.

This episode our friend Lydia Popovich joins us and offers an invaluable female perspective on raps, rappers and songs about vaginas.  She also stans out on Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar, which is kind of endearing.  Stay Hatin’ loves women who love rap.
