Integration between AdSense and Blogger (www.blogger.com)

Blogger (www.blogger.com) provides a simple way for you to make money with your blog. AdSense is Google's content-targeted advertising program. This means that you don't select keywords or categories for your ads. Instead, Google's servers determine what your posts are about and display the most relevant ads to your readers. So, if you blog about baseball, there might be ads for Major League Baseball memorabilia next to your post. If you blog about painting, there might be ads for art supplies.

Blogger (www.blogger.com) requests access to your AdSense account in order to allow Blogger (www.blogger.com) to create and place ad code on your page through our layouts and template tools. As part of this process, you may notice that Blogger (www.blogger.com) is receiving "0%" of your AdSense earnings - this means that you will receive the same amount for clicks or impressions as you would creating the ad code from your AdSense account. To view any partners that have requested access to your AdSense account, and their associated revenue shares, please log in to your AdSense account, click the "My Account" tab, and choose the "Account Access" sub-tab. If you see a "grant access" link next to blogger.com, you must click this link in order to create ads with Blogger tools.

How do I put Adsense on my blog (using layouts) ?

First of all, choose the blog that you want to put AdSense on, and go to the Template | Page Elements tab. You can get there by clicking the Layout link on the dashboard, or clicking the Template tab from the posting or settings page of the blog.

Once you're there, click one of the Add a Page Element links. Choose the one that corresponds to the area of the page that you want to contain your AdSense ads. When the 'Choose a New Page Element' window comes up, select the AdSense option.

The next page displays an AdSense sign-up page. If you're new to AdSense, go ahead and fill it out to create an account. If you already have an AdSense account, click the sign in link instead so you don't accidentally make an extra account.

Once you've signed in or created or account, you'll get the configuration screen. Use the menus to select a format, and one of our preset color templates. If you want more control, you can also enter colors of your own choosing by typing the hex codes in the spaces provided.

If for any reason you need to switch to using a different AdSense account, click the Switch to a different publisher ID link at the bottom.

When you have things the way you want them, just save your changes and go see how it looks on your blog. Come back to tinker with the settings any time by clicking the edit link for the AdSense unit on the Page Elements tab.

Blogger Layout have four sections ( Page element, Fonts and colors, Edit HTML, and Pick New Template)

The page element section shown us the element that contained on your blog. There are three major part of page element structure. See picture below

Header section (red area)
Outer section (blue area), this section consist of “blog post” area and “Sidebar” area
Footer section (green area)

Now go to “edit HTML” Section

Note : Before to play with your layout, please backup first (click “download Full template”)

The value above (660px) is refers to your header width, change it to 950 or whatever u like but it is wise do not more than 1000px (mostly user using 1024 x 768 screen resolution), save template and refresh your blog, happy… if not change it again until your happy. Like width value, u can change the value of margin and border too.

Always backup before editing your template.
The width value of Header, Outer, and footer, are always have same value. So… If you change outer’s width you must change Header and Footer too.

What is Meta Tag

Meta elements are HTML or XHTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a Web page. Such elements must be placed as tags in the head section of an HTML or XHTML document. Meta elements can be used to specify page description, keywords and any other metadata not provided through the other head elements and attributes.
Meta elements provide information about a given webpage, most often to help search engines categorize them correctly. They are inserted into the HTML document, but are often not directly visible to a user visiting the site.(wikipedia)

Meta element used in search engine optimization

There are two points that's important in meta tag.

1. Title tag: is the most important thing you can add to your page. Make sure that you pick your title that match with your idea or content of your blog.
2. Description tags: are the second most important meta tag. These are what often show up on search engines under the title. This is the descriptive bit a person reads before clicking on a page. Be sure not to keyword stuff. For good, make your description not more than 300 characters.

The other thing that we can put in meta tag are :

Keywords: Keywords meta tag is under some scrutiny as to whether it is being used or not. At one time it was used widely by search engines. It is to easy to spam with unrelated words, so most search engines don't use this anymore. Please put your keywords that relevant with your post title. You should list them in order of importance with the most important ones first. Separate each word or phrase with commas and keep the length of the entire list under 255 characters.
Author: Author tag has very little SEO value, but hey let's give ourselves credit. Put your name in there. Don't be shy
Robots: Revisit tag is another one of those tags being debated. We don't know if search engines follow the command, but basically is saying hey come back in X number of days and check for new content and updates. I am not sure that the robots will following this instruction or not, but it's nothing to lose if we used it in meta tag.
Robots tag This will tell a search engine how to index your site from a given web page. Index means that search engine should index this page, Noindex means that they should not. Follow means that they should follow any other links to your other pages, Nofollow means they should not go any deeper into your site. Generally you select index and follow to instruct the search engines to index that page and the rest of your site.

Note : Before we get to the next step, we must fully understand that the meta tag is not a magic tag that make our blog have a highest rank at search engines, we must combined it with another SEO thing or another marketing strategy.

A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a website icon, shortcut icon, url icon, or bookmark icon is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A web designer can create such an icon and install it into a website (or webpage) by several means, and most graphical web browsers will then make use of it. Browsers that provide favicon support typically display a page's favicon in the browser's URL bar and next to the page's name in a list of bookmarks. Browsers that support a tabbed document interface typically show a page's favicon next to the page's title. The Microsoft Windows Shell uses favicons to represent "Internet shortcuts" to web pages.(Wikipedia)

Internet Explorer originally only used favicons for bookmarks (for instance MSIE 6.0), which created a minor privacy concern in that a site owner could tell how many people had bookmarked their site by checking the access logs to see how many people downloaded the favicon.ico file. Create an image 16X16 pixels in size
Save the image as an ICO file (named "favicon.ico", of course). to make ICO file easily, you can use online favicon generator. So many web host provide favicon generator, to find that web host just put "favicon generator" as keyword in search engines, or u can use this one favicongenerator
If u use firefox browser u can save image as PNG or animated GIF too.

To add a video to your blog post, click the film strip icon in the post
editor toolbar above where you compose your blog text.

A window appears prompting you to 'Add a video to your blog post.'

Click Browse to select the video file from your computer that you'd like to upload. Note that Blogger accepts AVI, MPEG, QuickTime, Real and Windows Media files and that your video must be less than 100MB in size.

Before uploading your video, add a title in the 'Video Title' box and agree to the Terms and Conditions (you'll only have to do this the first time that you upload a video with Blogger). Then click UPLOAD VIDEO.

While your video uploads, you'll see a placeholder in the post editor showing where your video will appear. You'll also see a status message below the post editor letting you know that your upload is in progress. Depending on the size of your video, this usually takes about five minutes. When it is complete, your video will appear in the post editor.

You can add an image from your computer or the Web to your blog.

1. Click the image icon in the post editor toolbar.

2. A window appears prompting you to browse for an image file on your computer, or enter the URL of an image on the Web.

3. Once you've selected your image, you can then choose a layout to determine how your image will appear in your post:

The 'Left', 'Center', and 'Right' options allow you to customize the way your blog text will flow around your image.

The 'Image size' options will determine how large the image will appear within your post.

4. Click UPLOAD IMAGES to add your image, and then click DONE when the notification window appears telling you that 'Your image has been added.' Blogger will then return you to the post editor, where you'll see your image ready to be published to your blog.

A person who posts these entries is called a “blogger”. A blog comprises text, hypertext, images, and links (to other web pages and to video, audio and other files). Blogs use a conversational style of documentation. Often blogs focus on a particular “area of interest”, such as Washington, D.C.’s political goings-on. Who can have a blog ?

Everyone can have a blog, don't worry eventhough you don't have any knowledge about web design or Html code you can have a blog and manage it easily. There are free blog
services that almost anyone could set up in a matter of minutes.

Why should I have a blog ?

If you become blogger, you can share your knowledge with other, u can share your photos, u can promoting your bussines, u can join network blogger and have more friend, and so much other fun thing u can take in this wonderfull world.
