On Saturday, October 2nd, a milestone Air Jordan Retro will release – and its a kids shoe. What’s the big hoopla surrounding this kids shoe? The Air Jordan II in Lavendar and Deep Purple is the first female-designed Air Jordan in the history of the entire catalog, and bar’s been set pretty high for anyone else who is next in line. The sleek colorway was chosen by Vashtie Kola, a reputable name in the urban-fashion and hip-hop culture scene, and inspired by her clothing label Violette; this limited release will also come with special Violette tissue paper that matches the wholly feminine color-combination of purple tones and glittery laces. Again, these are a limited release with stock only going to the most select Jordan Brand retailers (House of Hoops in Harlem and Long Island being two known spots), so take another look after the jump and hit up Extra Butter on October 2nd for this historic release.

BenG x Nike SB Blazer High – White – Black – Yellow

Nearly two years back, the Made for Skate book launched with help from a Nike SB Blazer Highcollaboration. These new SB Blazers are also Holland-related and feature blue and yellow, but the result is entirely different. Amsterdam skate shop BenG designed this Blazer SB High, flipping the Made for Skate script and using blue and yellow for select accent hits. The base, then, is constructed in white leather, which looks super clean underneath black Swooshes. The BenG logo is on the heel tab and you can see more shots of these by clicking the jump below. They should be out soon, with Korean retailer Kasina already selling theirs.

KAWS “Passing Through” Exhibition Further Look

Once again New York brand Mishka joins forces with Mad Decent for Fall 2010. In this latest release the two worked on two fresh New Era caps and matching t-shirts.

“First up is the old standby, the Mad Decent logo on a black New Era and T-Shirt. I know this shit looks like it might glow in the dark but it don’t and won’t it’s just using neonyellow. Still, it’ll be a glowing beacon of your love for the best fucking electronic/dancerecord label going. Represent Mad Decent or lead a lesser existence. Next up is the Hollertronix cap and tee, that everyone will probably just refer to as “Africa.” Supposedly all human life originated there. Shaft went there for a while. Afrika Bambaata named himself after it.”

Today brings us our first in depth look at this party-ready Asics Gel Lyte III designed by Sneaker Freaker. Purple, purple and multiple shades of grey are employed throughout the premium suede, matte felt and mesh build. Details include a “Rated R” insignia on the heel, which harks back to the original debut of this shoe that saw it appearing in 3D in movie poster style. Unfortunately for US heads, these won’t be making it to any stateside accounts, but they will be available on October 1 at the locations below.

Yesterday, we informed of a few major Air Jordan Retro releases that are set to appear in 2011; however, one of them was blacked out and it forced you to use your imagination as to what else will be releasing next year. With that said, photos of the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” have surfaced on the web; this somewhat all but confirms its release for next year. If you recall, the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” is one of the few sneakers from the signature line that hasn’t re-released since its debut (1992). Therefore, many sneaker enthusiasts have expressed interest in a possible return. What are your thoughts on this shoe possibly returning next year? After re-introducing the Chronospace earlier this year, Brietling follow-up on the summer release with a new limited edition Jet Team model. Created in part with the inspirations of Brietling’s L-39 Albatros Jet Team, the watch attempts to capture the essence of aerobatics team which often reach speeds of nearing 700 km/h. The watch features a stainless steel 48mm case with AR-coated sapphire crystals. Movement comes courtesy of Brietling’s Caliber 78 and SuperQuartz with features including a chronograph, alarm, countdown timer and dual timezone display among other features. The watch also includes a steel Aero Classic bracelet. The Brietling Chronospace Jet Team will carry a limited edition run of only 1,000 pieces.

The toys will be available in limited quantities through Paul & Joe and Paul & Joe Sister stores come November 26th, 2010. During the late-night sneaker-hunt on eBay or just rolling around the shoe-spots in your hood, you’ve probably seen your fair share of counterfeit Air Jordans. What happens when it lands on the website of a well-known nationwide sporting goods chain? This fake pair of Air Jordan IXs somehow made is way on the Dick’s Sporting Goods website (be very, very careful when attempting to access the store website) but was taken down not long after it went live. One might deem this type of blunder as ‘inexcusable’ but not everyone is a board-certified fake-finder with a sharpshooter’s eye at spotting counterfeits. But how about the design itself? This pair features black/red animal skin on the upper on a Charcoal IX midsole. Would you cop if Jordan Brand ever released these?
