My disgust and contempt for Najib and UMNO remain unabated. There have done nothing in the 13^th general election for me to think otherwise – if anything they seem to take their corrupt and arrogant ways to a new low that only serves to confirm that if anything is to change in our nation, it will not be Najib or UMNO. But surely we do not want Pakatan Rakyat to sink to UMNO’s level? Surely there are more responsible and rational leaders within Pakatan Rakyat?

I wish I could believe that Malaysian will come out in their hundreds and thousands to throw out this UMNO led Barisan Nasional government! Anwar Ibrahim and the rest of the gang can dream. What do you think Najib Razak and gang will do? Roll over and play dead?

There was a right way for PR to take government during the 13^th general election and yet PR could not get the numbers to back them up and now PR expect to garner the numbers by whipping the people into a frenzy against Barisan Nasional? How many hundreds of thousands will keep turning up at PR rallies? How many days do you expect to keep them on the streets?

Let us try to understand a few things,

Take the Philippines and Indonesia. We hear all the time about how western countries are embarking on this aid program and that aid program to help these two countries – everything from caring for babies to taking care of their education, the sick and the elderly. We see documentaries about colonies of their people eking out a desperate living on rubbish dumps. We hear about babies from these two countries being given up for adoption by families no longer able to feed themselves what more another baby. There are wars being fought in these countries by armed groups roaming the country side inflicting havoc and death on the local population. Their people are everywhere seeking work of the laboring kind and their women work as maids all over the world. All this is happening in the Philippines and Indonesia because there is extreme poverty in these countries. Their governments are not able to look after their own so their people have to look elsewhere to earn any kind of living.

Why do we NOT have these things in our country? Do we have colonies of people living off rubbish dumps? No we do not! Do we have Malaysian in their thousands working as maids and labourers elsewhere? No we do not! Are our people prepared to have their babies adopted by western countries? No they are not prepared! Are there armed groups of militia roaming our jungles terrorizing the local population and killing them? No they are not!

In Thailand sex is an acceptable way of earning a living by many thousands of poverty stricken people so much so that Thailand now has a Sex Industry worth US $5 billion annually. The South Thailand insurgency have caused thousands of death – it surpassed 3000 in March 2008 and it is still increasing. Malaysia does not have these kind of problems.

Yes we have poverty. Yes we have unemployment – but these are all manageable. There are really no pressing reasons for our people to seek regime change in a violent way. Of course there are disappointment and dissatisfaction in the manner that this UMNO led Barisan Nasional government has been running this country – but these feeling are not intense enough to make them want to seek regime change in any other way than through the polls.

Are there people who would want to overturn this government by violent means – for sure there are – but not enough to give the authorities any problems. The Riot Squad can handle the situation and there is always the Army on standby if needed.

So that is why I think what PR wants to do is doom from the start. Doom because it is not what the people want. It is what Anwar and a few Pakatan Rakyat diehards wants and there are simply not enough of them to make it happen. Anwar and Pakatan Rakyta cannot ask the people to fight their battles for them.

What do I think should happen now?

I would like to hear Najib Razak categorically state that UMNO did not buy any votes. That UMNO did not use any pendatangs or phantom votes to get votes go UMNO way. That UMNO did not have any assist from the Election Commission to win the election.

Then I want Pakatan Rakyat to prove him wrong – if not in the courts then go direct to the people as they did when campaigning for the 13^th general election. Have enough faith that the people can think for themselves and that they can decide for themselves whether to believe Anwar or Najib – to believe PR or BN. This is a responsible way for us to move on towards the change that we all want and it would be a step in the right direction for UBAH.

I don’t really care what anybody says..Anwar Ibrahim is NOT the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Najib is! And he has already been sworn as Prime Minister and if Najib is smart enough he will just sit back and let Anwar and Pakatan Rakyat run out of steam with their road show to have Anwar Installed as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Better to do that than to unleash PDRM or the Army upon your own people.

Apart from the hundreds and thousands of PR supporters that have been attending these rallies Anwar must understand that there are millions and millions more who are really tired of what has been thrown their way in the months leading to this 13^th general election. Tired not only with PR but also with BN. Is it not time that BN gets on with the business of government while PR take their responsibilities as the Opposition seriously? Time these bloody politicians start doing some other work than campaigning!

With all the monitoring done by Pakatan Rakyat and NGO’s - how many Bangaldashi’s were caught voting fraudulently? In the thousands, hundreds or was it a case of catching one here and another one there?

Pakatan Rakyat talk about fraud and irregularities in voting – okay get all the facts, call a Press Conference and put everything in the public domain so that we can make our own decision on whether what you claim is true of lies!

We do not want the kind of PC called by Azmin recently. How many more times are we to going to see this Azmin Ali telling Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakayat to go to hell? Can anyone in Pakatan Rakyat tell him to just sod off – we know Anwar cannot do so…so who can in Pakatan Rakyat? No one can? And you expect people to vote you guys into government? Please lah…get your house in order first before you want to take over Putrajaya.

I am not here to debate the irregularities of the 13th general election. I am not here to argue that with 50.6% of the votes it is Anwar not Najib that should be Prime Minister. To me what matters is now that the 13th general election is over what comes next. And I say this because BN and PR went into this election with their eyes open. They knew what was at stake, they knew that the popular vote will not win either of them government - only a majority in Parliament will because ours is a parliamentary system. I do not doubt that both sides will do what it must to win government. Both sides would bend the rules to get the people to vote for them - what differentiate PR from Bn is the extent that PR are prepared to push their case - what seperates them is a matter of degree. BN has the money,has the logistics and the political will to do more than PR.

Najib went into this election devoid of honor and the respect of many Malaysians but he can now look back at the things that he did and say that it has resulted in the victory of BN.

DSAI distinguished himself throughout the campaign by making his case for government direct to the people but threw all that to the winds after his loss at the election by embarking on this irresponsible attempt to wrest government from a duly elected Barisan Nasional.

All that we have worried PR will do if they take government they are doing now! Always it is about the self never about the people. Always it is what you guys want not what the people want. Carry on like this and for sure you will continue to play second fiddle to the UMNO led Barisan Nasional.

This BN government is not reticent in using everything it has in its arsenal and at its disposal to ‘manage’ any threat to our national security - perceived or otherwise.

The huge crowd at the Pakatan rallies, especially in Kelana Jaya, would have given Najib Tun Razak food for thought.

The oratory on display would certainly have fuelled the adoring assembly into raptures of reverence and expectations of another tsunami, hopefully this time around to sweep Pakatan Rakyat into government.

‘Hari ni PR menang. Esok BN form Government’, ‘Tumbang, Tumbang! Tumbang BN’, ‘Tolak, Tolak! Tolak BN’, ‘BN curi keputusan pilihan raya!’, ‘SPR Tipu! SPR Bohong!’, ‘Mari ketawakan SPR. Ha Ha Ha!’, ‘Tolak Tangan Persahabatan BN’, ‘Kami anak Malaysia’, ‘Kami Pahlawan Rakyat!’.

And of course the ringing, familiar heart rendering calls of “RE…FOR…MASI!”

And then the diminutive much loved figure of Pejuang Sastera Pak Samad greeted us with a “Salam Ubah” and proceeded to recite his “Ibu Segala Tipu” – written just three hours before the meet in Kelana Jaya.

The crowd was primed for Anwar – the people’s prime minister chosen by 52% of Malaysians. Anwar tells us that he “naik kereta, naik motor, jalan kaki dan berlari” to get to be with the them, and they were ready for anything Anwar had to say, and will do what he would ask them to do.

Anwar Ibrahim declared that he will begin a fight to the finish between a peaceful Pakatan Rakyat against a corrupt and arrogant Barisan Nasional. And he will not rest until justice is done, democracy is restored and the 13th general election win illegally taken from Pakatan Rakyat by BN is given back to Pakatan.

‘Kita akan lawan sampai menang’

In two weeks, Anwar promised, the Bersih Tribunal will provide proof that 30 parliamentary seats were illegally won by BN.

And Anwar promised that it will not end there. Every corner of the country will be visited, Sabah and Sarawak included, to tell the people that Pakatan Rakyat have had the general election stolen from them by BN.

And it will not end until this Suara Rakyat from Pakatan Rakyat, this Suara Keramat has been heeded by the BN government. After all it was BN that “curi keputusan pilihan raya, bukan Pakatan’.

If Anwar wanted to bolster his flagging image after Pakatan Rakyat’s results in the 13th GE – he succeeded.

If Anwar wanted to prime his supporters for the second coming of refomasi as we know if after his ouster as DPM – he succeeded.

What he did not succeed in doing was to pursue in a calm and collected manner, his misgivings for the voting irregularities in the 13th GE.

What he did not succeed in doing was to defuse the already inflamed and volatile passion within so many diehard supporters of Pakatan who are ready to go out and create havoc and mayhem in our community because they are told that BN has stolen the GE from Pakatan.

If we are to descend into the hellfire of May 13-type of chaos that will consume our nation as Pakatan fight a battle it cannot win against the police and the army, this is the best way to do it.

If Pakatan is to give BN an opportunity to rule by decree because our country’s national security is at risk – this is the best way to do it.

There must surely be another way forward for Pakatan Rakyat. Many have voiced their misgivings about a Pakatan-led by Anwar, a leader who could, would and did inflame the masses during his reformasi days.

Wait for the next GE

This is the same Anwar who announced the Sept 16 takeover of the BN government, the leader who took refuge in the Turkish embassy, the same Anwar who presided over his party’s questionable elections and that same Anwar that has, from time to time, emerged to make us question who the real Anwar is – and if so, could we trust that Anwar?

On Saturday night in Penang, and the previous Thursday in Kelana Jaya, the question again arose when he whipped those in the venue into a frenzy.

It sent chills down the spine of those who see the results of the 13th general election as a positive outcome for our nation because by that result, we can now lay claim to having a two party system that can effectively police each other for the benefit of everyone.

In the 12th general election BN lost its two third majority but still won positively. In this 13th general election, BN can only claim victory on a simple majority.

Following the upswing for Pakatan, it should build on these gains, consolidate its strengths and start the final push towards the 14th general election where victory, much deserved and overdue, may finally be achieved.

Instead we have this – a gathering that could rival that held during Hitler’s time where the masses were moved into a frenzy by the oratory of Hitler and the mass hypnotic spell of Nazi Germany.

This is the gist of Azmin Ali’s Press Conference today 10^th May 2013.

First he was an hour late for the PC – but then was that not to be expected? F@*K!

After blah blah blah and more blah…..he said that at an emergency meeting of Selangor State Assembly men held last night they decided, after consultation amongst themselves, and by consensus, to submit the name or names (he was not clear on this) of whom they wanted as Mentri Besar of Selangor. That list with one or more names was submitted to PKR’s leadership (possibly that would or should be Anwar Ibrahim) for his consideration and further action.

He made it very clear that all the Assemblymen, him included, wanted any decision in Selangor (including the appointment of a Mentri Besar) to be made in consultation with the elected representative of the people (meaning the Assemblymen and himself) and not arbitrarily by anyone else – not Anwar Ibrahim, DAP or PAS.

Translation: Azmin Ali as head of Selangor PKR has met with the State Assemblymen (the elected representative of the people) to decide on the question of who they want to be Menteri Besar of Selangor.

Anwar Ibrahim, Kit Siang and Hadi have no say in the matter!

It does not take a genuis to figure that this is Azmin flexing his muscles and telling Anwar, DAP and PAS ...F@*K You! I want to be MB and I will be MB!

And why would any Assemblymen from PKR (14 in number), PAS (15 in number) and DAP (15 in number) want somebody else instead of Khalid as MB?

Very simply this - Khalid is honest. Khalid will award a State tender to the lowest qualified tenderer even if the tenderer is a known Barisan Nasional supporter. So no Pakatan Rakyat Assemblyman have profited unfairly under Khalid's government. Susah cari makan under Khalid's rule. So now if the assemblymen elected one of their own people to be MB...we are back to the UMNO days of I scratch your back you scratch mine lah! So you work out for yourself why Azmin can kautim with the Assemblymen for him to be MB. Now let us see if Lim Kit Siang, Hadi and Anwar will do the right thing and go with Khalid for another term!

I knew this would happen. I even saw this coming a day after the GE13. I've watched this thing before back in 2008. This crazy hunger for power. Even before the GE13 I had said that the government who had ruled us for over 5 decades know how to play the game really really well. They are champions. And they would have made the perfect Opposition for accountability and transparency. They were masters of the game....and they have 57 years of experience to bank on. For them its the numbers game and they desperately need the numbers !

They can smell the weakness of a person who is not in the limelight but who has found a new position and power. In other words they can smell a weasel or a rat 3 and a half kilometers away. They know what makes this rat weak at the knees. They know his excesses and will go straight to exploit that weakness. They go for the jugular....and they won't miss.

So out comes the cheque books and the negotiations cum offer is hastily "up-ed and up-ed"to dizzying zeros to 'own' that sellout's soul. The rest is irrelevant. In the meantime excuses are conjured up to justify the turn-coat's shameful action. Tell all and shame all is the name of the game. And the turn-coat comes out smelling like roses to the owners.

You might want to ask who suffers most in all this numbers game ? You, of course my dear friend, you who had supported and cast your vote and even went on to defend this now turn-coat's integrity in some political argument in a pub swearing he would not sell you out. You might even have wagered to cut off your ears and jump in an aeration pond in your neighbour-hood trying to defend his credibility. You stupid sod ! You've been had !

And I've never had anything nice to say about this weasel ever in all my postings. Call it "gut" feeling.

My name is Johann Sze and i had the privilege of serving as a polling agent for none other than Nurul Izzah Anwar. This is my account on what happened on the 5th of May in the Lembah Pantai constituency.

I started my shift at Sekolah Menengah Bukit Bandaraya at around 1pm on 5th May 2013. It was quite a quiet shift for me as majority of the voters came in the morning. I must give credit to the SPR team from my school, led by the principal herself, who were very helpful to both the voters and polling agents. Many rushed out with umbrellas and wheelchairs to guide and shield the voters from the rain. The only exciting event during my shift was when Dato' Raja Nong Chik and his wife came to cast their vote at 4pm. Much to their dismay, they were greeted only by the Press as most voters had already fulfilled their responsibility early in the day.

Throughout my whole shift, there were about 25 people standing around the PKR tent, waving the party flag and cheering at each car that passed by. In return, they were greeted with various honk patterns, making the whole event a very lively one. The BN tent was about 20 meters away and both group of supporters were at their best behavior. There was another group of people, about 30 or so from PKR and Bersih, waited outside the school gate to protect the school from any "phantom" or "unauthorized" voters. I have the highest respect for all of them as they stood their ground despite the rain and heat.

The school gate was closed at 5pm with loud cheers from the supporters waiting outside. I was still waiting inside the school for the Counting Agents (CA) to do their thing. At about 6pm, we received an SMS from the first Saluran giving Nurul the lead, 142 - 89. We did not hesitate and announced the results to the supporters waiting outside. It was such a beautiful sight, seeing people from all races celebrating together with loud cheers as the results of each saluran was read out. In all 6 Salurans from Bukit Bandaraya, Nurul led comfortably, 1933 to 708.

Along with the SPR and supporters, we convoyed our way to the central tallying centre (cant rmb the school's name). Despite the police escort, my car was blocked, not by the police but by PKR supporters as they wanted to check whether my car had any extra ballot boxes. I rmb driving past and a lady shouted "Why you let the car in so easily? Why never check?" Haha.. Seriously respect these people who waited throughout the night to "guard" the whole area!

As soon as i entered the school, we immediately met up with the other PACA heads from other schools in Lembah Pantai to consolidate the count. One of them was constantly on the phone with Nurul, updating her through out the tallying. We were working under this dodgy looking tent with flashlights as our only source of light

. After a while, I took over the role of tallying all the Salurans under Lembah Pantai as different ones were shouting their results over the phone. Nurul started with a huge disadvantage as she was trailing 120 - 266 on postal votes and 76 to a whooping 1783 on Undi Awal. I started adding up the different reports from different schools and tried my so very best not to screw anything up.

Up until the 12,000 count, Nurul was trailing by a couple of hundred votes with both sides having about 6000 votes each. We suddenly received an SMS from Bukit Bandaraya, J. Bangkung saying, PKR 3170, BN 947 IDV 8. With that, Nurul took the lead for the first time, with slightly more than 2000 margin. One by one, the results started coming in and Nurul continued to lead by about 3000 ++ votes. All of our tallying were based on SMS and calls but no confirmation was made as we did not crosscheck it against the Form 14 then. We are happy with the current results but many were still worried as this results werent fully verified and we have yet to receive anything from Sekolah Rendah Agama Sri Pantai, a BN fortress. By this time, we have moved to a classroom as things started to get quite messy and Nurul was arriving.

Finally, the results came in from Agama Sri Pantai, and as we expected, it was 3992 against 5823 reducing our margin to slightly more than 1800. After recounting it twice, we were quite happy as with that results, Nurul has unofficially won, provided my maths has not failed me and that the figures given to me were accurate. With a constituency of more than 70,000 ppl, winning by 1800+ votes is quite small. I remember thinking to myself, how much crap i will be in if my calculations were wrong. We informed Nurul about the results and she reminded us that it is not over until the fat lady sings. Shortly after, we received news that TV3 and other government controlled media announced that Nurul has unofficially lost by 1800+ votes. Immediately the panic button triggered in the room and everyone started panicking.

We immediately started looking for all the Form 14s from all the salurans from all the schools, a total of 120 of them and started cross checking and recounting. We had to ensure that we collected all the form 14s as that will be used as evidence in an event of any dispute. News about the FRU being deployed and teargas being fired outside the school didnt help to calm anyone in the room.

By this time, Nurul was already outside, talking to various groups of people and ensuring that everyone is calm and patient about the results despite being nervous herself.
After slightly more than an hour, with the help of many volunteers, we managed to collect all 120 forms and we completed our final recount.

Nurul has unofficially won with 31,008 against 29,161 with a margin of 1,847 votes!! Various ones started sharing the news across all social media platforms and we could hear the crowd outside the school cheering away! by this time, RNC's supporters slowly left the site and RNC was no where to be seen. We proceeded to the main Dewan to wait for the official announcement. By this time, Nurul had a smile on her face and started to relaxed a bit more as different ones started congratulating her. She kept repeating the same line, "it's not over until the fat lady sings". What a tough lady, going through such intense pressure and stress and yet putting up a brave front!

Nearing to the end, everyone was anticipating the final announcement from SPR.

Final results projected on the screens and it was a 100% match to our calculations!

At about 12,15am, SPR finally announced that Nurul Izzah Anwar has successfully defended her seat at Lembah Pantai!

Yes there were many stories on extra ballot boxes, unauthorized recounting, firing of teargas and fights with the FRU. Let me assure you that once you are in the final tallying center, it does not matter how many ballot boxes are there. The final count is derived by compiling the Form 14 from each Saluran, of which both parties and the SPR are required to sign. Ballot boxes are sealed and brought in as a formality. Recounting is only allowed in the respective Salurans of the schools, not at the final tallying centers. And this is only allowed if the margin of the saluran is less than 4%. IF we were actually required to recount in the tallying center, it would have been crazy, as we will need to recount up to 60,000 votes!!! No teargas was fired nor were there any confrontation with the FRU. Hence, please, do not spread stories which have not been verified, find out more and understand the election process and do not cause unnecessary distress among the people! I received countless of SMSs asking bout the extra mysterious boxes. Nothing of such at Lembah Pantai, at least.

It was a remarkable experience and definitely one that i will not forget in the near future. It's amazing to see so many people working behind the scenes to ensure that everything was in place. Few of them were running around for the past 20 hours with no rest and minimum food, all to ensure that we get every vote counted from the voting stations to the tallying center! People from all walks of life, regardless of age and race, came together without any form of payments or incentives, to ensure that we do our best for Nurul to defend her seat. That, defines 1 Malaysiabetter than any of the multi million dollar campaigns around.

Dubbed the “princess of reformation”, the "giant slayer" and "humble servant"; it was an honor to be able to be part of this event. I wish you success in Lembah Pantai and may you continue to serve the people with dignity, honor and love.

Thousands of agents and volunteers were deployed all around the country to help out with GE13, in the next GE, find out how you can also play your part for a better Malaysia!

On Wednesday April 3 this year I made a commitment to unconditionally support Anwar until the day after the elction - that day has long past and today I write again about Anwar Ibrahim.

There have been many people, this writer included, who have made the decision to support Pakatan Rakyat for the right reason and Anwar Ibrahim for the wrong ones.

We supported Pakatan Rakyat because we have had enough of a corrupt and arrogant Barisan Nasional. At best we wanted Pakatan Rakyat to win in this 13th general election and govern our nation in place of Barisan Nasional in the belief that Pakatan Rakyat can do better than Barisan Nasional. At worst we wanted to put in place a strong and viable opposition able to provide the checks and balances required in a democracy to keep the bastards in government honest.

We supported Anwar Ibrahim in spite of our misgivings because we felt that he would give Pakatan Rakyat its best shot at winning the 13th general election. Our misgivings was based on the Anwar that we knew from his time as DPM and his time in UMNO. We had hoped that Anwar would have changed his ways.

What he said to the 100,000 people gathered at Stadium MBPJ in Kelana Jaya last night indicated otherwise.

First he was preaching to the converted. After the election it would do him more good to try and reassure fence sitters like me that he will not abuse the trust we had placed in him to lead Pakatan Rakyat whether in government of the opposition. He should then forthwith start work in trying to secure the support of those who are not with Pakatan Rakyat - to turn the tide against Barisan Nasional. And he could start doing this by exposing any voting irregularities during the election in a professional and proper manner that will leave no doubt in the minds of these doubters that Barisan Nasional did cheat to win this election.

He should then get on with the business of government in the States that Pakatan Rakyat manages. For starters in as far as PKR is concern, the business of who should be Menteri Besar of Selangor should be resolved. If I may be so bold Dato' Seri, anybody else but Khalid would mean that once again you have f@*k yourself up!

Then there is the business of being in opposition - a tedious but necessary element in any vibrant Democracy. Despite being the biggest component in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, Lim Kit Siang has graciously (or should I say common sense dictates!) offered to step aside and support your appointment as Leader of the Opposition. Reciprocate Dato' Seri by taking that position responsibly and lead Pakatan Rakyat not into an immediate potentially bruising and robust confrontation with Barisan Nasional but towards taking Najib to task for the voting irregularities in the recent general election in Parliament and in any other appropriate platform available.

But maybe this is all a big ask of you Dato' Seri. Already you have committed Pakatan Rakyat to an impossible task! Taking government from Barisan Government not through the ballot box (which you have already failed) but through harnessing the anger of your supporters into a force that will wrench power from Barisan Nasional - and you say that you will not stop until you win.

With respect Dato' Seri I think our people have had their fill of politics. Let us get on with our lives that have been put on hold for many months because of this 13th general elections. We would prefer politics to be like a good fridge - once bought we want it to do its job of keeping the food fresh for a good many years. Would it be asking too much to ask if BN could get on with the business of good governance and you, Dato Seri in Opposition, get on with the business of keeping them honest and accountable for the things they do in government.

Sir Alex Ferguson retires as manager of Manchester United

Manchester United have announced that Sir Alex Ferguson, 71, will step down as manager at the end of the English Premier League season in mid May.

It marks the end of an era for the club that welcomed Ferguson back in 1986. After 26 years at the helm, leading United through their most successful years, Ferguson is set to become a club director and ambassador.

Reports are that David Moyes or Jose Mourinho will fill the void left by the Scotsman.

Under Ferguson, Manchester United won 13 EPL titles, five FA Cups, and two Champion League trophies, and blooded some of football's biggest names such as David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.

"The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly," he said in a statement.

"It is the right time.

"It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so.

"The quality of this league winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long-term future of the club remains a bright one."
