Jin directed me towards this blog that had a tutorial for Nebula nail art! How freakin' Astrosexy!

I've been really busy recently, trying to juggle a 9-5 career, trying to live my life, and the daily in-betweens. I am still passionate of somehow skyrocketing this blog into something amazing. I am apologizing to myself for not working on this hard enough for I have no excuses. I think there is a right subject choice considering the title of this blog and AJ and I's constant interest in the future and space. I finally finished my National Geographic special edition of "The New Universe" and it has given me more insight to what a wonderful fucking universe we live in. What prompted me to try harder with this blog were the recent successes of fashion bloggers during fashion week, as well as, watch Julie & Julia. I have even had thoughts about joining NYC's Amateur Astronomer's Association. So, now I hope to not stay in bed all day and do something productive and my thoughts should be directed to this!

    but basically... the only failure is not trying. you have to fail thousands of times in order to find success. Success is found through deligence.
    and.. though you feel like you failed. I don't think you did at all.

My personal infrastructure and is attempting to be infiltrated by a wayward and arrant viral infection! Activating Immunity Defenses with Green Tea consumption, and currently preparing an improvised Chicken soup for additional reinforcement. Extemporized virus-fighting self-healing for the nasopharyngitis annihilation.

I don't feel like getting sick, and I dont have any medicinal support at the ready. So I've been drinking Green Tea all day. As most of you know, Green Tea is overflowing with Antioxidant goodness. I used my culinary prowess to make soup reinforcements also.

Home made Chicken Ramen Soup, for the Blasian culinary concoction. Take THAT impending ILLNESS!

I am for serious so so so busy. I don't have time for anything! I haven't even uploaded pictures that are one month past due! On an excellent note, I went to the Mixtape Comedy show at Gotham Comedy Club and met Anthony Anderson, Royale Watkins, and Dana Dane (classic hip hop as I'm told)!

I am also excited to have my family come here for Thanksgiving!

Mackage Sample sale in Times Square. I was highly disappointed because they were selling the same exact coat I bought at Saks Fifth OFF 5th for $400!!! I got it for more than half the price!

During my visit back to Jacksonville, my cousins, brother and Gabi decided to spend our Saturday night at the fair. I have not been to the Jacksonville Fair in years and already had a pre-conceived notion that I would be disappointed. BUT still decided to keep an open mind.

Oh funnel cake! Powdered sugar delight! Plus, $1 extra for the cinnamon? Oh, you carneys and your rip-offs!

Let's see if this spinny spin spin ride will sit well with us as we just finished our cancer-inducing staple carnival snack! Needless to say, we screamed for two minutes and kept saying, "This ain't sitting well in my stomach!" "Not my way" and laughing hysterically in-between because it was a stupid idea.

Oh, I also want to indulge everyone with world class cuisine

Reversible Trench!

I really love this trench. I bought this trench online on Etsy from a Vintage seller. When I first bought it, it was down to my mid-calf and it just made a shorty like me look shorter! Finally, I had it altered right above me knee! What is great about this trench is that it is a wrap, so I don't have to worry about buttons or more importantly the fit. I would take a picture of the reversible side (black), but I'm too lazy. :P

I'm finally back in Jacksonville to see my family. It is quite nice. It's also weird to see everything slightly change in a place I am so familiar seeing everyday. My parents feel quite uneasy because all my siblings are planning to move out soon. My family is going to visit me in NYC for Thanksgiving. I can't wait! I miss Cozmo! A friend of mine is watching him. Soon he will be trekking back to Florida. :(

Random thought: I really think the Chase iPhone app is so awesome! I get to take pictures of my checks and it deposits it into my banking accounts! Isn't that awesome?

I am big on music and listen to just about every genre. My favorite band ever is N*E*R*D and I finally have an autographed album! I went to the signing of "Nothing" at Best Buy in Union Square! It was terrific!

Since I have been here, it has been non-stop concerts through and through.

Recently, I was introduced to Shonen Knife and Dead Kennedys. I was also diggin' Mayer Hawthrone's music. Our housewarming with the neighbors was a success and the turn out was more than I expected. It was mucho fun!! Just lovin my life here! I would show pictures, but I think I want to do this the old fashioned way and just type it. : )

Maybe laziness is a factor as well .

I have been so busy and I regret that I haven't updated this blog enough. I really want to document everything that I have experienced in NYC. It certainly is so fast-paced here I can hardly catch my breath! Before I go to bed, I want mention that I went to The Film Forum's screening of William Castle's "The Tingler". It was quite an exciting experience!

New York Sacrifices

It has been a while since I have updated about my happenings in New York. The apartment hunt is exhausting. It's more hectic than buying a home in Florida. Apartment hunting in Florida is sooooo cake. You have a floor plan and an organized folder of everything, plus amenities like pools. Not to mention southern hospitality, although being straight forward is my kind of thing. Hence, my liking for text messaging more than conversations on the phone sometimes. I have also realized here that 90% of building are owned by the Orthodox Jewish Community. You know, those guys with the curly sideburns? Below are the countless bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms we looked at. We went through at least 10 brokers and hours upon hours of negotiations with landlords. Amidst the small bathroom, closets, and small living of space we still love New York. We still want to be here. We have a story. A New York story of struggling. A new post will be soon updated with our apartment we picked!

Bidding Farewell

My family threw me a great dinner and it really hit me then that I am leaving, leaving. After giving my niece some kisses, I really hope that she remembers me. She's only 23 months and I'm really sad that I can't celebrate her 2nd birthday with her. I didn't think I would cry, but I did! I will really really miss all my family and my friends. My friends are my family. I love you guys! Thanks for all the support! This is truly bittersweet. I can't believe I'm doing this. It's so surreal. NYC, here I come!

Theme Park Mania

The past two weeks I have been to Disney, Aquatica (Sea World), and Universal Studios. I had a lot of quality bonding time with my family and close friends. I completely geek'd out when I arrived into The Wizardry World of Harry Potter! I read all the books! Today, I took my niece to the beach. I didn't realize how much she truly means to me until the thought of leaving crossed my mind. Very bittersweet indeed.
