A butcher watching over his shop is really surprised when he saw a dog coming inside the shop. He shoos him away. But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices he has a note in his mouth. He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please. The dog has money in his mouth, as well."

The butcher looks inside and, lo and behold, there is a ten dollar Note there. So he takes the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth.

The butcher is so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut up shop and follow the dog.

So off he goes. The dog is walking down the street when he comes To a level crossing. The dog puts down the bag, jumps up and presses the button. Then he waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and he walks across the road, with the butcher following him all the way. The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable. The butcher is in awe at this stage. The dog checks out the times, and then sits on one of the seats provided. Along comes a bus. The dog walks around to the front, looks at the number, and goes back to his seat. Another bus comes. Again the dog goes and looks at the number, notices it's the right bus, and climbs on. The butcher, by now, open-mouthed, follows him onto the bus.

The bus travels through the town and out into the suburbs, the dog Looking at the scenery. Eventually he gets up, and moves to the front of the bus. He stands on 2 back paws and pushes the button to stop the bus. Then he gets off, his groceries still in his mouth. Well, dog and butcher are walking along the road, and then the dog turns into a house. He walks up the path, and drops the groceries on the step.

Then he walks back down the path, takes a big run, and throws himself against the door. He goes back down the path, runs up to the door and again, it throws himself against it. There's no answer at the house, so the dog goes back down the path, jumps up on a narrow wall, and walks along the perimeter of the garden. He gets to the window, and beats his head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door. The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher runs up, and stops the guy. "What in heaven's name are You doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!" to which the guy responds: "You call this clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

Reflection: Looks like some, people will never be satisfied with what they've got. When it comes to the work place, Employers do not know how to appreciate their people who have served them loyally through the years. I've seen companies lose good people for the simple fact their leaders failed to show appreciation. Employers with big egos enjoy the fact that they have more power and authority than others. They show, in the way they give orders and directions, that they think they are superior. They get a kick out of displaying this superiority. People who do this are fools, and everyone but them knows it. They are never satisfied because they could not be satisfied even if their people perform well. They don't listen to the opinion and ideas of their subordinates.

Why? Because of their stupid pride and insecurity.

People of this kind will never be satisfied. Why? Because they are so busy wrapped up in themselves and, fact is, the self can never be satisfied. Happy and productive people are always those who are "others-centered" rather than "self- centered." The greatest idea of leadership is not someone who throws his weight around. Rather, he is a servant. As Bible would say, "He who wish to be a leader should first be a servant."

His joy is derived from delivering a job that others benefit from his contribution. Aim for service, and success will follow.

A question that stirs thoughts of battle or losing in the minds of many. We are taught to live life to its fullest, to be dependent on ourselves, to conquer, to win, to overcome. If we are able to visualize or paint an image of the result we wish we can succeed. God's plan is quite the opposite. Learning how to surrender to God truly leads to a life of liberty.

It is the Holy Spirit that brings us to the cross and causes us to face the unvarnished reality of our desire to die to the world and sin. We will never live a life that is beyond our hopes till we have died to ourselves. Look at what a Dear Friend recounted referring to surrendering to God, "For me, this has been the best key to walking in joy, peace, and liberty is permitting Him to rid me of self (a whole life process)"

The enjoyment of surrendering your life to God is something that you must experience yourself. No one can rationalize it. You should experience what it suggests to surrender to God for yourself.

Surrender must come as a real reply from your heart. Think about the difficulties you are presently wrestling with and then imagine I say to you, "Just surrender them to God and give Him control." My spouse of 27 years died when she was only 51 years of age , and at first I wasn't prepared to hear those words: "Just surrender everything to God and give Him control." Those words would have looked wicked at that time in my life. However , as God graciously reminded me over the passage of time surrender is what He wants from us. His desire for my life is that I surrender to Him, giving Him complete control. (With time, it also became just what I wanted to do.)

Consider how you are carrying the burdens of hurt, pain and emptiness in your life. God doesn't want you to live with those burdens. He would like you to give Him every hurt, each discomfort, and every situation you're going through. There is nothing in this world more crucial or more exciting than surrendering everything to God. Your surrendering to Him will lead on to healing, evolution, and an abundant life, bigger than you ever imagined possible.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your methods submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Expression 3:5-6 I encourage you to use our complimentary gift, "God's Answer?" It'll show in detail how to live life thru a power that may transform your life. This journey of yours is not about your talents or capabilities or anything you can do to change your life. It is about permitting the power of God to radically change you.

Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley Fight in May 7

We expect Sugar Shane Mosley to go for broke and slug it out with defending WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao in their scheduled 12-round title bout. The Pacquiao vs Mosley fight is scheduled on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mosley's a good counter-puncher. He'll use his left as a decoy. What he wants to do is to land the right. I don't think he'll box Pacquiao because he doesn't have the legs to fight from a distance. He'll come on strong in the first four rounds, looking to knock out Manny. Roach said Manny Pacquiao should be able to assume total control after the fourth round. Not that Mosley will dominate the first four rounds. I just think he'll try to pressure Manny Pacquiao early.

Manny could take those early rounds, too. Manny should be careful because Mosley has power. If there's a weakness in Pacquiao's defense, it's his vulnerability to get hit by the right hand. Juan Manuel Marquez showed that. Manny can get hit with the right lead down the middle. That's what he should watch for in fighting Mosley. I can see Manny throwing an overhand right over the top as a counter to Mosley's left jab or left hook. Manny will go in and out which means he'll use a lot of footwork. When Manny steps in, he'll land the left hook. Shane Mosley's got power and some hand-speed so we won't rush things. The only thing I worried about Mosley is his stamina. One thing is Mosley has some difficulty fighting southpaws.

Shane Mosley, 39, is coming off a split 12-round draw with Sergio Mora in a fight where he had to win the last two stanzas to avoid a loss. That Mosley was able to mount a late assault is a credit to his durability despite his age. Richardson, dismissing notions that age will be a handicap against Pacquiao. The Mosley vs Pacquiao fight is expected to be very entertaining the in the early rounds of the fight. Mosley always has the reputation to be exciting in the early to middle rounds of his fights in recent years. He's in shape and he stays in the gym so he should be able to respond pretty quickly. No one can predict the outcome of any boxing match as favorites have been known to bite the dust. Fans in both their respective countries will be cheering for their local hero. So don't miss to watch Pacquiao vs Mosley live on Showtime PPV on May 7, 2011.

Oprah Winfrey for one, chooses this date 01-11-11 to launch her media network OWN or Oprah Winfrey Network. It does not mean that Oprah herself believes in Numerology, but maybe for her, this date is significant.

Whatever it is, whatever the reason for each and everyone who sees this date 01/11/11 as significant, there is one common denominator on it. And that is, giving importance to once life and making the most of it by living our lives to the fullest.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena Prayer

I do not know if you believe me or not. But, I have just discovered that by devoting your Prayer Life to the Sacred Heart of Jesus eases your life's burden. I do not have a permanent job, yet somehow I am able to manage my life with ease with no debts.

I am crediting this kind of life that I am experiencing now to my devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This is the only Prayer Novena that I did since I was born. So, I could say that the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the ONE intervening into my life's burden.

What I did, I downloaded the Novena of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from the YouTube in my personal computer and transfer the copy to my cellphone. Then, every time I offered my devotional prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus I listened to the recording and pray along with it.

Just the other day, I heard over the news that a water interruption will be experienced by the residences and business establishments of the entire city because of the low water level of the Dam. The Dam is the main source of water supply for the entire city. Even in rainy season, the water level in that Dam is still so low.

Water Interruption is inevitable. Everybody will suffer. Rich and Poor will face the consequences of experiencing a life without water.

May 10, 2010 is the date of the First Automated Election here in the Philippines. This is will make our nation the first country to used an automated election in Asia. This will be considered as historical. The world is watching if this kind of election is successful or not, specially to a third world country like the Philippines.

Six days from now May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections will happen. More or less 50 Million Filipino voters will go out and vote. However, as of this writing the COMELEC or the Commission on Election and the SmartMatic, the company who handles the automation are recalling more than 76,000 Compact Flash ( CF ) Cards or Memory Cards of the Precinct Count Optical Scan ( PCOS ) Machine and replaced them with a reconfigured Memory Cards.

This development worries the majority of the Filipinos. Smartmatic must race against time and delivered the reconfigured CF Memory Cards to all the precincts all over the country before May 10, 2010 and that is 6 days from now. Everybody is hoping that this election will be a successful one because otherwise civil unrest might erupt.

Election 2010 will be held on Monday May 10. This will be for general elections of Presidential, Legislative, and as well as for the Local Officials of our country, the Philippines. Also, this will be marked as the first automated election in our country's history.

A lot of candidates were already making political strategies by positioning themselves and be recognized by the voting public. As early as July of last year those who were planning to run were already buying and filling up TV air times and other media outlets. Spending billions of pesos for a position which has only a monthly salary of more or less 35,000.00 pesos.

This grandiose spending is so magnanimous which will only force an ordinary citizen to question the sincerity and integrity of such individual of wanting to serve the majority of the filipino people who are poor.

Why a presidential candidate have to spend billions of pesos if his purpose is to alleviate poverty? Could he not do it as a private citizen? As a congressman? As a Senator? Do they really need to become a President of this Country first, so that their supposed advocacy - which is to help the poor - must be realized?

If we are going to sum up all the spending of those candidates running for national office, it could already build hospitals or schools or even feed the hungry. But of course, every Candidates prefer to spend their billions or millions for their own respective self-interests. While a lot of poor Filipinos who are sick and dying and who are hungry, could only watch with awe how those candidates could ever spend billions of pesos in a short period of time.

Blogging and social networking are inextricably linked in the sense that both contain certain features and certain properties of one another. Both are aimed at creating a wide movement as far as multimedia interaction is concerned. Though it is true that blogs can be regulated and kept very private, the main purpose of them is to reach out to a number of people, to have a medium to voice your opinion.

Another similarity is that both these concepts have existed in cyber space for almost a decade now, but in the initial stages both were rather exclusive of one another. Only in the recent times have they been merged, and their similarity in motives truly recognized.

Blogging is essentially done to channel your thoughts out on to an online journal. You also want other people to read what you have written.

This way, you go about coming in touch with people from all over the world who you would not have otherwise known. Similar is the function of social networking. It is a hub where the young and the hearty flock. The chances of getting an audience at such a platform are high.

The origination of the term ‘blog’ is interesting. It was initially called a ‘weblog’ meaning a log or a diary or a journal that helps you to record your thoughts on a day to day basis. In that sense it was rather in its primitive stages and did not turn into an instrument for propaganda immediately. This term was later shortened to blog and this is when free blogging services like Blogger became extremely popular.

Blogging today is not restricted to only maintaining a journal. It has truly become a platform where various kinds of people from all walks of life, whether they have the same ideologies or not, conflate, and discuss the matters they think are important to them.

Blogging in the twenty first century has come to become an important tool for advertising for people who wish to market their products online, for politicians who wish to sell their ideologies, and reach out, to the masses.

Moreover, creating a blog and maintaining it does not require a fortune. Everybody now has a personal blog and it is all free of cost. Also, one does not need to be a computer engineer or a graphic or web designer in order to embellish their blog.

Unlike a website which operates on a different domain, and for which every single template and tab needs to be designed and created from the scratch, blog sites do not need such knowledge. The blogging service providers have their own inbuilt templates and fonts which have to be chosen by the bloggers as per their own tastes and preferences.

Blogging is an ideal way to make new friends and come in contact with more people than you can do in the actual word, from all quarters of the world. Such diverse people will obviously have differing viewpoints. Therefore, this gives scope for a good deal of discussion and debate with all points of view being taken on board.

Blogs can also be for the sole purpose of making new friends and socializing. That is why social networking sites have picked up the clue and in these times social networking and blogging has, to some extent, been combined, and almost become indistinguishable.

It would be interesting to note that the word ‘blog’ is both a noun and a verb. This leads us to the fact that blogging in some sense also helps get rid of hassles of publishing. Though your work will not come out in print, you know that you can publish your work – your articles, pictures, videos, etc – yourself through you blog.

Therefore, it may be your own personal journal that you wish others to read or you works of art in terms of the stories or articles that you write, or the movies that you make. You can share almost any content with the world at large.

It must also be noted that just like you do not have to be a web designer to create your own blog, you need not be a professional writer, a film maker or a photographer to publish content on your blog. It is just a space for you to indulge in your own small artistic pursuits and share those moments with others. Blogging must therefore be exploited to its full potential.

Extreme Poverty

The number of people suffering from extreme poverty is steady and slowly growing. A lot of efforts from the government and other non-government organizations (NGOs) to intervene and to eradicate poverty are already put into action. Yet, the situation of people suffering from extreme poverty is still the same and their number are continuously growing.

Why Extreme Poverty is still to be alleviated?

Maybe, what we need is to stand as ONE "Stand Up, as a demonstration of our commitment in the fight against extreme poverty. It’s the easiest of actions, but when all of us do it together, it’s a profound statement."

We were Enumerators

This is the story of the unsung heroes of DSWD - the Enumerators for National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR). A Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in order to build a database of Household Informations of "who and where" the poor families in the Philippines are. And eventually, the information generated by the assessment will be used by DSWD and other government agencies to design and develop social welfare programs.

The primary role and function of the Enumerators is to make personal visits to the households covered by the NHTS-PR and administer the Household Assessment Forms while conducting an actual interview.

In order to attain what the NHTS-PR tag-line is saying which is "Talaan ng Sambahayan! Sigurado, Kumpleto, Totoo!" and literally in english "List of Households! Sure, Complete, True!", the Enumerators will be deployed to different sitios, barangays, municipalities and cities.

The Enumerators must go to far-flung communities to interview and to assess households of poor families. And if necessary, they will climb mountains, cross the rivers, defying personal safety in "hot spots area", braving all weather conditions just to make sure that our poor brothers and sisters will be included in the NHTS-PR database.
