Sorry for for being away for a while. I was busy doing many stuff here and there. I know that it is not good to leave my blog without new posting for more than 3 days. But i cannot find a good time logon into internet.

By the way, I have news for you. Currently feedburner already in progress to transfer to goole. So, if you guys already opened up a feedburner account, what you need to do is move your FeedBurner accounts to Google.

1. Login to feedburner.com

2. Click on the “Move Your Account Now” on the top of the page( in yellow box)

3. Finish, check your new feedburner accout by login to feedburner in google.

How to submit you site or blog to yahoo search engine

In my previous post, I already talked about how to submit your blog or site to Google search engine, not lets continue submitting this blog to next search engine, Yahoo.

Similar to Google webmaster tools, Yahoo have “Yahoo! Site Explorer”

Step by step guide to submit blog into yahoo search engine:
1. Log on to Yahoo! Site Explorer

2. Type your blog or website url into the text field and press Add My Site button. This will lead you to yahoo Sign Up page. If you don not have yahoo account, you need to register first. I already register so my site appeared automatically.

3. Click on your site that you just added just now

4. Click Authentication button on the left menu bar. You have two options to authenticate your blog there:
a. to upload a verification file to your site or
b. to add a META tag to your home page.

5. If you are using wordpress.com, then you cannot add META tag to your home page. That is because you don’t have privileges to access your home page’s HTML file. For blogger, you can just copy and paste the META tag into your blog and put it between and

Next steps are for WordPress only.
6. Create a new page from Write/Page WordPress.com Dashboard . Example: https://juhairi.wordpress.com/y_key_9e729dd5812b7466.html. Make sure you replace “juhairi” with your own site name and y_key_9e729dd5812b7466.html with your own authenticate key.

7. Click Ready to Authenticate button. It will show you a new page saying “Your site is pending authentication”.

8. Check it later to make sure your site’s status is OK. If it is, then congratulations! You just successfully added your feed to Yahoo!. Make sure you check your Yahoo! Site Explorer regularly. It will report back to you if anything goes wrong.

Note: Keep the new page you’ve created privately once it is authenticated. Keep in mind that you need to authenticate it again if you see failed button showing up on the status of your blog/website.

My blog already being indexed by google search engine

Yesterday I have checked out my site at google search engine to see whether my blog had been indexed yet.

To can be done by typing:

site:juhairi.wordpress.com

As the result, I found out my site had came out with 9 result. All the result coming from wordpress it self, no inbound link yet, This mean my site already been crawled by google crawler after a few hour I submitted it via google webmaster

Lets see how many result can i get after a month, and see how fast this blog can develop.

Blogcatalog is a greate place to promote your blog. It is one of most popular social networking for blogger. Inside here you can make friends, participate in others blog related to your blog and recieved visitors. I received quite a number of visitors from this site alone.

BlogCatalog is more than just a social community for bloggers; we are one of the largest blog directories on the internet. Whether you are looking to search blogs, connect with bloggers, learn more about blogging, or promote your own blog, BlogCatalog is for you.

Yes I know it is a bit problematic to go here and there to promote my blog, but this is the first step to established your blog. Well, I did not expect my blog to established automatically. No matter how great my blog is, it would be a waste if people outside there do not even know that my blog exists.

I already register my blog yesterday, and today I started recived visitors from this site. Altought the number is still small, but it is enought for new blog like this.

Submit website or blog to Google search engines

There is two way to submit your website to google search engine. I choose goole because google is the largest search engine available and furthermore most of my traffic in my last blog is from google.

First is by using this url.

You just need to add your url and comment and done~.

We add and update new sites to our index each time we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here. We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear.

Please enter your full URL, including the http:// prefix. For example: http://www.google.com/. You may also add comments or keywords that describe the content of your page. These are used only for our information and do not affect how your page is indexed or used by Google.

Please note: Only the top-level page from a host is necessary; you do not need to submit each individual page. Our crawler, Googlebot, will be able to find the rest. Google updates its index on a regular basis, so updated or outdated link submissions are not necessary. Dead links will ‘fade out’ of our index on our next crawl when we update our entire index.

Another way is via google webmaster tools.(recommend)

1. I login to google webmaster tools. (I already have an account)

2. Add your website url in the ‘add site’ form.

3. Click verify your site.

4. Choose your verify method. I choose to verify my blog via html.

6. I created a new page https://juhairi.wordpress.com/google68744b3a7347a907html/ so google can verify my blog.

I found its hard to put tag into my blog maybe because I am new for wordpress. For blogspot.com i choose to verify my blog via meta tag.

7. Finish, your blog will be crawl and put into search engine for a moment. Maybe you need to wait for a day until google crawler your blog.

Now, every post that you published will be crawled by google automatically. Next time we will learn about SEO (search engine organizer). By learning seo, you will be able to put your website on the top of search result related to your posting.

Do not forget to use other tools that provided by google webmaster tools. I found it very useful to me.

Feedburner your blog

Well, i actually i came across many blog while learning about blogging. but most author out there thing FeedBurner not important or does not know how to do it. For starting let me introduce FeedBurner to you guys.

So what are FeedBurner? Learn how to use it and make life easier

When the internet was in its infancy, people browsed the web, looking for things. When it grew incredibly big, seach engines were used to find things. Now we have tools like RSS feeds. What the heck are Feeds, you ask? You may see this Feed logo on many blogs and websites. Well, if you click on this little feed “chicklet” on a website you like (like the one on the top left of this page), it will provide you with a subscription to the content of that web page, which you can then read/watch/listen to using a feed “Reader”. I use Google Reader, but there are many, many different readers out there. A Reader is kinda like an email inbox that organizes your various Feeds, so that you can see what’s new from all the sites you have subscribed to, without having to go to each individual site, one by one to check. Very helpful.

So why start using feeds? Well… it will make searching the internet for things you are interested in much easier- because you aren’t looking for the content, the content is automatically coming to you. If you learn to use Feeds, you will be constantly connected to a continuous flow of information that is pertinent to you. This will make your life easier.

Step 1:

Get a Reader. Again Google Reader is great, especially if you have gmail already, but you could also try Bloglines, or Rojo.

Step 2:

Subscribe to feeds! Google Reader even comes pre-loaded with some popular feeds and it is very easy to search and add new ones that you might be interested in.

Okey, that enough for the introducion.

How to FeedBurner your blog?

1. Log on to feedburner.com

2.Insert your blog address and click next.

3. Fill the information and click activate feed (you may need to create an account if you don’t have one.

4. Tick which one you prefer. i did not tick item enclosure because I am not using anything related to podcast.

5. Your feed is ready. Learn how to put your feed in your blog via links that are provided.

Domain Name, Blog Title and Blog Tagline

I decided not to change my domain yet (https://juhairi.wordpress.com).
The reason why I am not going to change my blog’s domain is because of two reasons.

1. I am not going to spend any penny on this blog. In order to appear as professional blogger, i should use .com .info or any paid domain. But i want to try to prove something to you guys, without using a single cents, I still can achieve same as others established blog .

2. I want to using my own name (Juhairi is my name, but you can call me joe). perhaps my name will be well known later, who knows?

For blog title, i changed original blog title from

juhairi’s blog
to
Step-by-step for blogger.

This title will inform my visitors about all my blog about. They will get the idea of my blog after they read my title.So be wise in order to choose your blog title. I don’t want to lose my visitors just because of my blog title.

And for my blog tagline, I changed it to

“Step by step for blogger. Get tips, info, knowledge and all related stuff about blogging inside here.”

I have done research in google adwords and found up that this tagline is suitable for my blog.

Learn how to blogging from scratch

As I said earlier, I will post and write everything that I will do in order to make my blog popular.

So why don’t you guys take this chance to learn how to blogging from scratch. Maybe you already have basic knowledge about blogging, but as time pass by, this blog will continue to develop its level until it reach professional level. Perhaps.

A bit information about me.
Before I started involving with wordpress, I actually get my basic from blogspot.com (blogger). I created several blog already but i will mention one only that is;

I started this blog about a month ago. Actually, i have zero information and knowledge about blogging before that. I spend almost 7-12 hour a day to learn about blogging stuff.

After thinking for a few days on what i am going to write, now i had made up my mind.

So what will i write in this blog?

I am not gonna write something about my thought, opinion or something that will be wasteful for you guys to read. i am going to write on how to set up your blog step by step.

My mission here is to have at least 10,000 visitors everyday!

So how am i going to do it?

From time to time, i will posts and write everything that i done in order to make this blog popular, and every steps that i take.
