This is the oh so sweet wedding of Amanda and Joel! They are such a sweet loving couple and during the ceremony and throughout the entire day, you can tell how deeply in love they are with each other. The wedding was held at the beautiful Lone Oak Winery and it was such a fantastic night!

This is the trash the dress session taken a year after the wedding of Hanan and Marcos! They are awesome clients! Their wedding was a blast too. Check out their engagement session here. We started out with a bridal session because she never did one then it ended up in a random fountain. I love these type of sessions because they are so carefree and fun, and I'm all for having fun.

This is an old session and all future posts on this blog will be of my old sessions and weddings that hadn't made it to the blog yet. Meet Aaron and Tiffany! They have been a couple since I could remember in high school, who would have thought that I'd be photographing their wedding? Life is grand.

This is an older wedding I shot over a year ago. Golly gee. I've been trying to catch up with my blogging and really have been pushing myself to do so recently. Putting together storyboards can be a hassle. I can't wait to catch up though, just a few more...I think! A new blog is in store though! Just wanting to finish uploading these older weddings/sessions I have waiting around. You may notice that my editing styles have been changing...but anyhow...this is the sweet, beautiful wedding of Dillon and Courtney at the Rose Chapel! (My sister got married here too!).

The penny in the shoe is a European tradition to bring the Bride good luck, fortune, and protection against want.

Haha I love his face in this one...waiting for his bride to get even more dolled up. :D

This is the beautiful Arielle LaGuette, a fantastic singer, talented songwriter, ukulele and guitar player, and best of all, one of my most treasured friends. We were in the UNT Glee club together, and that is how we actually met. Ever since then, we bonded and began to collaborate musically together (I sing and play too just in case you didn't know...check me out here!) and we used to go to awesome places around Denton, performing together. It was a grand, amazing time! Then she moved to Orlando, Florida! I miss her dearly. She means so much to me and I wish her so much success with her music, she deserves to go far! Old followers of my blog may remember Laci from a VERY old session I did with her and her good friend way back in the day, pretty much when I was first starting out with this photography thing. Curious? Check it out here! It's crazy to see how my style and everything has morphed and changed. Laci is a sweet, wonderful young woman I knew from middle school, high school and surprisingly we ended up going to the same college! Laci wanted some senior pictures for graduating from college and brought along her sweetheart boyfriend, Jarrett, for some. Enjoy!

Kate, Shirley Temple themed session

One day I was hanging out with the awesome photographer, Stephanie Davis, I also got to know her adorable little girl, Kate. I told Stephanie that Kate would be the perfect girl for a Shirley Temple themed session! So then it transpired! Stephanie found the perfect dress and even helped Kate practice Shirley Temple-esque expressions before the shoot happened! I don't think it could have gone any better. The location was great for the old timey feel and Kate seemed to have a good ol' time tapping and dancing in her new tap shoes. Her mom rules! I'm so happy with these images, they sure bring a smile to my face.

Carter Wedding

As you can see by the date in the detail shots, this is an old wedding I had photographed, but hadn't made it to my blog till now. In fact there are other weddings that need to be blogged (like for real). It just gets overwhelming being a super senior in college and being a wedding photographer, etc!

But ANYWAYS...

This wedding was a complete blast! The atmosphere was lovely, cozy and vintage and everyone was super, extremely nice. At first was a rainy day. We weren't sure if this outdoor wedding would have to be moved inside a tent. The sun came out and warmed up the grass and provided stunning, warm light. This creative bride and groom, Carrie and Nick, came up with a fantastic wedding program that described the sweet meanings and history behind the wedding details (that you will read in this post). I think more weddings should provide this!

Typewriters used as guest books. The rings are vintage pieces from the 1940's.
The cups, utensils and plates are made of corn and sugar cane and will biodegrade in 45 days.

The cake toppers are from Nick's grandmother's owl collection.

The cameras are called 'Lomolitos' and have different colored flashes which produce some super cool images for guests to take! LOVE IT.

Each of the states Carrie and Nick have lived.

The same oak tree Carrie climbed as a little girl. Same one Nick proposed to Carrie under.

I love mason jars! They were everywhere!

They planted a baby tree together.

Something Old...Carrie's mother's veil.

The DJ is Carrie's uncle. He totally rocked it and played some fantastic tunes!

The dance floor is concrete slab where Carrie's grandfather's old storehouse once stood. The lights above are hung on some old twine that was discovered inside.

Katy, Bridals

Katy is such a beautiful, sweetheart bride! Because she planned on getting married barefoot on the beach in Florida, she wanted to do her bridal session barefoot! To make sure she didn't hurt her feet while scouting for a good shooting location, she wore her TOMS. Fabulous!

This is Amanda, another beautiful woman I went to school with in my hometown of Burleson. Amanda is an amazing makeup artist and gave me a make over the other month. It was awesome, I love becoming better friends with my clients. I photographed her wedding a few months ago and which will soon see up on my blog!

My nana gave me this vintage umbrella.

I got these adorable roller skates at a flea market in Fredericksburg, TX. I was so happy that they fit her! She wasn't afraid to skate around in her wedding dress (and my boyfriend was there to catch her just in case.)

Kayla, Bridals

I photograph people I went to school with. It's crazy. This is the beautiful Kayla! She and I were in Varsity Choir together and traveled to Europe on a choir trip one year. Who would have known that I'd be photographing her bridals? Kayla married her high school sweetheart, Dustin, who serves in the Marines.

I bought this phone from this awesome store in Denton. I'm a collector of vintage phones. : )

Just some of the MANY letters they wrote back and forth to each other. Love it. There is just something about hand writing a letter that makes it so much more special.

Before we went to get yogurt, (yes she did wear her dress while getting yogurt), I wanted to take advantage of these gorgeous lights.

Stewart Sisters

Katie, Bridals

You may remember the beautiful Katie from their awesome, vintage themed engagement session a while back if you keep up with my blog. : ) I was thrilled to learn that her wedding was going to be at the awesome Cotton Mill in McKinney! Because of this, we did her bridal session there! It was a cold and wet day, but Katie worked through it and looked absolutely fabulous. She was one of those brides that just glow and are so thankful for everyone helping out with her special day.

Katie is wearing her husbands cowboy boots. So cute!

Katie even took some pictures in her mothers wedding dress! What a fantastic idea! I sure wish my mom kept hers.

This is my sweet boyfriend Philip helping me out with the session. This was his first time to see my in action! My camera bag is an Epiphanie bag (if you're curious).

I can't wait to post her wedding pictures! Complete with hope lanterns, yellow rubber boots and butterflies!

First day of final year...hopefully!

So today I started my first day of my 5th and hopefully last year of school at the University of North Texas. My classes for this semester are history of photography, alternative photographic processes, photography studio, photo and the web and advanced composition and oral practices (I'm minoring in Spanish as well).

It's going to be a tough year nonetheless.

I'm looking forward to the many challenges I will face this year, juggling my photography business as well as my art and school, family, friends and boyfriend. I have faith in myself and the inspiration to keep on truckin'. Life is amazing and I have no idea what the future holds for me, but I have a feeling that it is positive and bright.

This is me in my bedroom. It's pretty hard for me to take a self portrait with a DSLR, with nice depth of field with no trigger! I had to focus on my hand and try to place my head where my hand was...if you're not a photographer you probably won't understand my predicament!

CeCe, University of North Texas Graduate

I first met CeCe in my figure drawing class at UNT, where I also go to school. We quickly became friends the first day of class together. She's fun, spunky and a talented artist. After she found out that I was a photographer she asked if I would take some promo pictures and detail shots of the delicious goodies from a bakery her father owns and they both run. I even got to take home some of the tasty treats I got to photograph!

CeCe has also been a great help to my business because of her referrals to her friends, which I highly appreciate.

So CeCe has finally graduated and asked me to photograph her graduation pictures! She came to me with this fabulous idea of having 3 different looks: Natural, diva, and fabulous professional. I loved it! She even came to me with a list of ideas, using collages of pictures that inspire her, which I think is a fantastic idea. She also wanted to take some pictures in the beautiful city of Dallas at night. I normally use natural lighting, but I like a good challenge.

This one is probably my favorite. So glamorous!

We started this theme in the parking garage where we parked!

Tierany, Bridal

Here are some of the bridals I did of the beautiful Tierany. We went to high school together, were in musicals, showchoir and varsity choir together, we even graduated in the same class (of '07!). It's so interesting that I find myself photographing alumni and people I graduate with. Who would have known that I would be photographing these people's special day. In high school, I never thought I would be a wedding photographer! Life is amazing.

We started out on the very stage that we performed on. Countless memories, and nostalgic feelings overwhelmed me as I walked back through the school.

I was so much fun to be able to play with the available lighting, stage lights and spotlights.

This is one of my favorite weddings I did a while back that haven't made it to the blog I've just realized! : ( How sad! I shot this wedding about a year ago!!!

Well this is my first Catholic wedding! Which was sooo exciting for me, for I love seeing how other religions have their weddings.
