Going to work in an office can be stressful and costly for both employee and employer. Thanks to technology many people have the option of working from home (or off-site at that warm beach somewhere!). For consultants and freelancers there are obvious reasons why you should work from home (you might not have another choice anyway!) but for full-time employees there are financial and personal advantages to working at least a couple days per week from home. Not every profession allows for this flexibility but if yours is one of the many that do, here are some benefits to look into for both employer and employee.

Increased productivity

When employees have more time to be with their families or to do things for themselves, they’re happier people. Happier people are less stressed out and are less likely to make mistakes. Happier people are more productive, which leads to more work done and more money saved. This I learned from Lisa Irby, my online mentor (great lady, by the way!), but in reading an article at money articles some supervisors see the productivity value in flexibility as well. One supervisor mentions that employees are more committed to a company that allows them to have flexible schedules. Another manager explains that having employees with flexible schedules is an advantage to her because that way her company may expand its working hours to better cater to the 24/7 business cycle in which it works.
If you’ve never thought of working from home but your company offers this option, you might be interested in finding out how such arrangement works out for you. If your company doesn’t have a work-from-home program, you may be in a position to ask your boss about this arrangement.

Spending time with your children Thirty five hours per week at work (40+ for Americans) plus commuting time all adds up to time not spent with your children. Both you and your children will be happier if you spend more time with them. But you can always ask your children what they think.In my own experience, I feel very lucky I had my dad around when I was a child. Due to his working schedule, Dad spent half days at home and it was just awesome to see him around! He could just be taking care of our dog or taking a nap before his next shift but there was a very warm feeling in knowing that Dad was around to take care of me if I needed him.
Reduced health insurance costs:Employees who have more flexibility in their schedules tend to be happier people because they may arrange their schedule to include running errands, taking care of their children and getting enough rest and exercise. It can also be possible for you to meet up with meetings with the Doctor or medical check ups. I believe when we do go the office, working from day to evening almost 8-12hrs. There won't be so much time to book personal meetings with doctors because there's few time and there are also enough things to be done at work the next day. So why not just, put down some time and do some work, yes it might not be easy writing contents on your website. But sacrifice that time and think about the future product. Remember if your website has enough content and traffic, google gives the honor of ranking you on the first page of every search concerned to your website content. After viewing all this kind of result, imagine you on the first page,and i believe you'll earn a living from striving to put your site as NO.1 on google. How to Make Working at Home Work: A Banker-Turned-Entrepreneur's Story

"I really didn't want a 'real job.' I wanted to work for myself," Bill Buckley recalls. "And I loved working from home."

That was 1995, after Buckley had spent 25 years in the banking industry. He did a 180 to become the first U.S. franchisee of Coffee News, working out of two rooms in his home in Bangor, Maine, to produce free weekly newspapers for local restaurants.

A lot has changed in 16 years. Buckley went from franchisee to U.S. sub-franchisor in 1996, and to owner and CEO of the entire company in 2008. But one thing hasn't changed: He's still working from home.

"It gives me the flexibility to do all the other things I want to do in my life," Buckley says. "I work whenever I have things to do, and when I don't, it's all free time."

Being able to skip the commute and make his own schedule means more time playing tennis, golfing and going to car shows with his wife, Coffee News vice president Sue-Ann Buckley.

But that doesn't mean being a home-based franchisor is all play and no work. "I work just as hard--if not harder and longer--here at home than I would if I were in an office," Buckley says. "We have close to 400 franchisees around the world, so I have 400 bosses. When they call, I sit up at attention. You have to be responsive."

Buckley makes sure his 400 "bosses" get all the same support a non-home-based franchisor would provide. Every eight weeks he takes over a local hotel to offer new franchisees a three-day training session. After that they're assigned a mentor and given a free website, software package and access to an online chat group so they're never on their own.

"It's all perception. My office tower today is my web page," Buckley says. "When you call, you don't know whether you're calling an office building in New York City or a farm in the middle of nowhere. That's the new normal."

Make Money with Google's Affiliate Program-Adsense

Thank goodness for programs like Google Adsense. This is a slightly different type of affiliate program because you don't have to get your visitors to buy anything.
You simply help Google advertise by displaying some text ads on your pages and they pay you for every click each ad receives. Thanks to Google's technology the ads that will be displayed match your site's content.
So if your site is about baby toys, the ads that show up will relate to that topic, thus improving the click-thru percentage. The more pages of content you have, the greater the earning potential for programs like this.
I use Adsense on three of my websites and I am quite pleased with the results.

Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren't making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google's policies after the fact - often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place.
Webmasters must not only comply with AdSense policies, but their Websites must also comply with Google's webmaster policies.
Prerequisites for Making Money with AdSense
To make money with Google AdSense you need plenty of traffic coming in to your site or there won't be anyone to click the ads. Website promotion techniques, especially search engine optimization and article marketing will bring more traffic to your site. You also need to have content that will attract the ads with the highest Pay Per Click (PPC) rate that are relevant to that content. Then, you need to lay out your web pages so the ads blend in with your site. Studies have revealed that people who visit sites that contain ads that use colors that are not in harmony with the actual Web site tend to develop "ad blindness". Meaning no matter how much traffic comes into your site, chances are no one will click the ads because they'll be ignoring them. If no one clicks, you make nothing.

Dealing with Competitors' Advertisements
If you offer products or services on your Website, the first thing you'll notice when you begin hosting PPC ads is that many of the ads are coming from your competitors. Therefore, you'll want to put ads on pages that aren't earning you any money, or do like I did and not put ads on your site until you're so busy anyway you'd rather make a few dollars off of your competitors than to continue turning business away with nothing to show for it.
Google AdSense allows you to specify up to 200 URLs for sites you want to bar from placing ads on your pages. The problem is that most times you won't know the competitors are out there until their ads appear.
Google Money Making Ad Options
Google offers three ways to make money from them:
Google AdSense for Content - A variety of size and shape ads for placing in your content are available. These can be text or image ads or both - you specify what you'll allow. Ad units are full ads. Link units are simply a strip of text links that your visitors might want to click. Google allows you to put up to 3 Ad Units and 1 Link unit on each page of your Web site, provided you follow its policies - both for AdSense and for Webmasters.
Google AdSense for Search - This places a search box on your Web site. When a user enters a term and conducts a search, a search results page opens, that hosts more pay-per-click ads. You can customize the color scheme of the search results page to harmonize with your web site.
Google Referrals - Here you make money by referring visitors to use a Google product, like AdSense, AdWords, the Google Toolbar and other Google software. Just like Google AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search, Google generates the code that you paste into the desired location on your web page. You can choose from a wide variety of buttons and text links of different colors. As an example of how Google Referrals works, if someone goes to your site and clicks the link and signs up for an AdSense account, when that person earns a $100 from Google AdSense and receives a payout from Google, you'll also receive $100 for referring them. This is a great idea to me, because you can be the world's worst Google AdSense advertiser, but if an ad dynamo happens to visit your site and uses your referral link, you can make money anyway!

Google AdSense Payments
Google will not issue an AdSense payment until your earnings exceed $100. Unfortunately, there are loads of Google AdSense Forum entries about website operators who accumulated $90 or more in click through earnings only to get banned from Google and not get paid anything at all before they ever reached $100. This may be because Google doesn't take a close look to see if you're complying with their guidelines until it comes time to pay you. So yes, there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

Don't chase yesterday's online fad.

Start your own blog.
You don't have to have your own Web site, or install blogging software, or even figure out how to set up the advertising. At Blogger you can set up a blog for free in less than five minutes without knowing a thing about web design, and Blogger even automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads. To make even more money from it, set up an affiliate program (see below) for books, music, etc., and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items. You'll have to get a lot of traffic to become a six-figure blogger, but pick an interesting topic, write well, tell all your friends, and you're off to a good start.

Create topical resource hubs.
Are you an expert on a particular niche topic? Can you put together an overview of the topic and assemble some of the best resources on the topic from around the web? Then you can create topical hubs and get paid through sites like Squidoo, HugPages and Google Knol. Payments are based on a combination of ad revenue and affiliate fees. Microstock photography.

People generally search for images on stock photography sites by keywords, not by photographer, so you have the same chance as anyone else of having your image picked. Just be careful that you don't have images of trademarked brands, copyrighted art or people's faces that are readily identifiable (unless you have a model release), but just about anything else is fair game, and I promise - you'd be amazed what people need pictures of, so don't make any assumptions. If it's a decent photo, upload it. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, Dreamstime and iStockphoto. The great thing about this is that it's truly "set it and forget it".
The above list is by no means comprehensive, but it highlights some of the new and interesting ways to make money online without investing any money, without having a product of your own, and without having expert sales and marketing skills. What is the difference between those who succeed and those who fail?
As President of SiteSell.com, I have seen hundreds of thousands of small business people
buy our books, use Site Build It!, and/or subscribe to our various e-zines and courses.
E-mail from them later reveals results that range from wild success to failure to even get
started!
Naturally, many more succeed than fail or we would not be in business, growing rapidly
online since 1998.
But why the two results?
What magic attribute separates the winners?
I have seen ordinary-IQ folks succeed beyond belief. And I’ve seen bright people fail
miserably.
So the difference is not intelligence.
I’ve seen a few “lucky stiffs” come up with the right idea at the right place at the right time --
don’t count on duplicating “lightning in a bottle.” I’ve also seen people try harder than is
humanly possible... and fall flat on their faces.
So the difference is not “trying hard,” although, that certainly helps to better the success
equation, when combined with the refusal to give up, and the ability to learn from failure.

There is no single path to success.
But there are clear failure habits that almost guarantee failure.

This person always finds something or someone to blame, never himself.
Pattern? People stop taking this person seriously. They avoid him altogether once they
have been blamed. Bosses grow frustrated. Complaint desks and support staffs stop
answering his complaints.
Life becomes rather lonely, which only increases this person’s anger.
Quote? “Who me?”
...“Can’t anyone around here do anything right?”
Motto? Blame everything on someone or something else -- nothing is ever my fault. If it
does really seem to be my fault, I wriggle harder. And if it really is my fault, the best
defense is a good offense. I go ballistic.
Bottom line?
The world is an imperfect place. Yet, somehow, decade after decade, it moves forward.
Work with imperfection. When things go wrong, don’t seek fault. Fix it.
In any event, you are not fooling anyone, not for long. Accept blame when it’s yours and
others will look up to you.
Remember... the goal is to keep moving ahead, not figure out who messed up.

This person trusts no one, barely even himself. Everything is a “line.”
Pattern? That baker’s smile? “Manipulator!”
People being nice? “They want something from me.”
What about the rest of the world? “Everyone has an ulterior motive.”
This person simply believes everyone does something for a covert, manipulative reason.
It’s a sad life to lead.
Quote? “Get away from me with that marketing line...
I don’t believe a thing anyone says. It’s all B.S.”
Motto? Believe nothing and trust no one.
... Luckily, I can detect B.S. a mile away.
Bottom line?
Suspicious of all, he does manage to weed out the Get Rich Quick nonsense. That is the
good news. Unfortunately...

If you recognize yourself in here, the solution is not difficult. Recognize that your sense of
judgment has simply been turned off because it’s far easier to reject everything.

world out. Instead...
Do your due diligence. Research properly. You will, once again, find your way. If you
make a mistake, don’t back-track.

Motto? I just know there's someone out there who has invented a Free Money button. All
I have to do is find it, buy it, click it, and watch the dollars come pouring in.

Here’s Larry’s story from “the front!”
I just had to pass this story along. I just hung up from talking to
a lady that Site Build It! won't work for.
The caller started by asking me how SBI! could drive traffic to her
website. That question implies that SBI! is one of those "give us
$400 and we will send a million visitors to your website" deals. I
asked her a couple more questions and sure enough, that's what she
thought we did.
I took the time explain that SBI! is an integrated package of the
Action Guide, Site Manager and Site Builder with premium hosting
and other services. Site Build It does NOT drive traffic to your
site -- it provides the tools and knowledge needed for ordinary
people to quickly create a website that the search engines will
rank highly, thereby attracting quality traffic to their site.
I also told her that my SBI! site last month pulled 9,012 unique
visitors from the search engines. It is a "small" 22-page site so
far and I plan to develop it out next month to 3 or 4 times as many
pages, pulling in lots more traffic. Most site owners that are NOT
using SBI would LOVE to get 9,000+ unique visitors in a month!
She said her current site has 20 pages on it too and it doesn't get
any traffic. When I asked her about the 20-pages, it turns out that
it is a 1-page sales letter but "20-pages long".
The caller wanted to know HOW SBI! would get traffic to her site. I
told her about how the search engines work and how SBI! builds
pages and sites focused on keywords to get the best possible
results.
She then said "I used the Site Manager on my keywords and none of
them were any good. My site doesn't get any traffic and it doesn't
show up in the search engines."
That was my first clue that she already owned SBI! She had been
evasive about her name and website before, but sometimes people
just don't want to give a lot of info up-front so I had continued
with her up til this point.
I said "You mean you already own SBI! and you need help with
getting your site working right?"
She said "Yes - I built my site with SBI! and it doesn't get any
traffic." Since she had already told me it was a 1-page

sales-letter site, I knew she had skipped reading the action guide
so I just had to ask her one more question before referring her to
support....
"Did you read the Action Guide?"
Her answer was "NO! I have WAY TOO MUCH to read already and I'm
not going to waste my time reading an ebook. It's just like every
other website building tool - any idiot can figure out how to use
it - you don't have to waste your time reading instructions -- you
just put your page together and click on build it."
I suggested that it would be a good idea to read at least the
Fast-Track guide but she was way too busy to do even that. I told
her how to contact tech-support and said goodbye.
Look for a refund request for a customer named "Karen" and a site
on "nutrition products". I wouldn't bother with a follow up call
though -- she's probably too busy. :-)

4. The Entitled
This person believes that the world owes her a living.
Pattern? Widely perceived as a whiner. Expects others to do it for her. She expects a
high bonus.
... She expects that the world, no matter what the situation, will take care of it.
On the Net, the most obvious example is the person...
... who expects everything to be FREE!
Oh, and not only free. Everything has to be...
... now! From instant success, to free, round-the-clock, telephone
consulting.... they want it free. And they want it now.
Quote? “What, I have to do the research and make the important decisions for my
business? Can’t you do that for me?”
“Of course, I expect $40,000 worth of consulting for your $300 product. And what’s your
home number, in case I need to reach you at midnight?”
Motto? Socialism? What a wonderful idea! Also...

Bottom line?
The world does not owe anyone a living. We all make our own way. We all look after
ourselves. But successful people do it by recognizing the needs of others.

... I’ll bet he’s not as happy as he looks. Or he had to cheat someone to
get there.”
Motto? Sooner or later, that winner will fail... I hope.
Bottom line?

6. The IQ-Challenged
These people simply don’t have the raw intelligence to succeed online.
Discussion: Intelligence is not the most important predictor of success.
Determination. Perseverance. Common sense. Attention to quality and customer. Give
me someone with those qualities, any day.
And by “IQ-challenged,” we’re not talking about people who lack certain skills, such as
computer skills. If you lack the skills required to get a certain venture off the ground, you
simply learn those skills.
There are not many people who are simply not smart enough to succeed online. But it is
important to identify.
Some folks really are best qualified to be doing an offline manual trade. And there is
nothing wrong with that. Raw intelligence is grossly over-rated.
... And there can be a lot more money in certain trades than chasing Net bucks.
It’s only sad if you refuse to face reality -- not everyone was cut out to work on the Net. It’s
so easy to fall for the siren call of the quick online buck.
My suggestion? Realistically, asses your abilities. Is the Net right for you?

For this person, it’s easier to lie and cheat than make it honestly.
Pattern? A long trail of bodies with knives in the back. These are the folks who sell the
Get Rich Quick schemes.
Quote? “It’s legal.. sort of.” And...
...“There’s a sucker born every minute.”
Motto? It’s a dog-eat-dog world. Let the big dog eat.
Bottom line?
I have no advice for these thieves. We don’t do business with them. But learn to recognize
them...
... looks can be deceiving. There is only one good solution for these

8. The NastyBoy -- Black Clouds
This person simply makes everyone miserable. He blows up at anything. Criticizes
everyone, except himself.
Pattern? People run from him. Before he phones people, he turns off his caller ID --
otherwise, no one ever seems to answer!
He’s angry. Always. Short fuse...
... He is constantly in fights. Spends a lot of time flaming in forums, and
fighting with support staffs around the world.
He wonders why so many people make his life so difficult.
Quote? “I’m firm but fair. The world’s a vicious place, everyone’s out to screw me. Show
some kindness and people will take advantage. I even see it in my so-called friends
(wonder why).”
Motto? I keep that chip firmly glued to my shoulder...
... Black clouds constantly hovering over my head.
Bottom line?
This is a tough one to help.
“I don’t need help, you idiot!”

9. The Nitpicker
This person is “the perfectionist.” She can miss the forest of success by spending too
much time on the details of the trees.
Pattern? Appreciated as a great worker. But...
... It takes a toll. It takes huge hours to “be perfect.”
Quote? “Almost there. Just one last revision.”
Motto? I’ll prune each and every tree to perfection...
... to within an inch of its life.
Bottom line?
This person deserves to succeed, and often does. If she has her own business and bills
well enough for the quality, she can do well. If she is well-managed within a company, she
is invaluable.
But, if taken too far, you end up exhausted. Focusing on the wrong things limits your
success.
You deserve far better. If you see yourself here, take a step back. Look at the big picture.
Accept that not everything is perfect. Now... where would today’s efforts bring you the most
results? And...

This person gives up at the first or second obstacle.
Pattern? Ultimately, every project seems to have something wrong with it. And there just
doesn’t seem to be a solution. Or the work is just “not worth it.”

Motto? Succumb. Don’t overcome.
... Cry, don’t try. Or...
If at first I don’t succeed... well, I didn’t succeed. Sooner or later, though...
... I’ll find a project that has no obstacles.

Every project has problems. People blocking you. Technical issues. Unexpected events.

This person is the scourge of every support staff at every company in the world. If
you don’t know what RTFM means, then this likely is not you!
Pattern? The product never seems to work the way they thought it would. This can range
from the trivial “I’ve never set the VCR clock” (I haven’t, that’s for sure) to mission-critical
issues that put an entire venture at risk.
Quote? “Me? Read the Manual. Why, of course, I did. All the way to page 2. I kind of
skimmed the rest. By the way, when you answer my support questions, what does “RTFM”
stand for? And do my questions...
... drive you nuts? Sometimes, I swear I can almost see tear spots on your
e-mails.”
Motto? Why read the manual...
... when others can do that for me?
Bottom line?
There’s a little bit of this in all of us, of course. Hey, we all learn to use Word without the
manual. But this section is about folks who go way past the ordinary urge to “get to it”...
These folks amaze me. They seem smart enough. Some are so bad that if you send them
a simple e-mail asking them what the error message says, their reply tells you what time
it happened.

12. The Smarter-than-Thou
This person usually is pretty smart, actually. And he takes every opportunity
possible to let everyone know not only that he is smart, but that he’s smarter than
everyone else.
Pattern? An incessant poster to forums. Endless debater who can turn into NastyBoy.
... Read between the lines and it’s clear “I’m so much smarter than you
and everyone else here.”
You’ll see them commenting on mailing lists how they’d run Microsoft. Heck, you’ll even
read these folks pontificating about SiteSell, as if they actually had the slightest clue about
what goes on here.
Some are so good at it, that some others even fall for their spiel. Or they’re intimidated by
them. What they fail to see...
Smarter-Than-Thou’s typing their sweeping grandeur in the evenings after their low-level
job and unsuccessful Web site has failed to advance them any further in their real lives.
And somehow, they really believe that all their “sharing” is being helpful.
Quote? “Let me demonstrate my brilliance...
... yada, yada, yada, yada, yada, yada.”
Motto? Me, I’m a genius. Why follow anyone’s suggestions when I could instead debate
them? Heck, if they’re lucky, I’ll tell them how they ought to run their lives.

... And they better recognize my importance! Or they’ll meet my alter-ego,
NastyBoy.
Bottom line?
When I coached a super-elite Little League baseball team, I once had to demote my very
best player to a lower league.
“What the heck are you doing?” his father roared. (Well, he didn’t say “heck.”)
“You son is the best player on the team,” I told the Dad (who was a good part of the son’s
problem). “But he makes that so clear to other players by showing them up. For example,
when he glares at the shortstop for making an error, that hurts everyone’s morale and
makes the others dislike your son.”
I went on to say, “I’ve spent an hour with your son, explaining this in detail. I think he gets
it. I’ll be dropping by to see how he’s doing and talking to his coach. I may bring him back
up to the team if this lesson sinks in.”
This is a tough one to self-diagnose. If you post to forums, though, examine how others
respond to you compared to the truly generous, sharing, and helpful ( great examples are
two of my favorites, Debs and Larry C. -- my profound thanks for your genuine caring and
help).
The power of denial is strong. But if you recognize yourself here, I hope this lesson sinks
in. There is no coach. No dad. And no Ken to personally check on you. Only you can
recognize that you need to feed an ego.
Overcome that. Stroke people -- help them with your intelligence -- make them feel good
about themselves.
You can do it.
By the way, that boy did come back up to the team. Years later, I ran into him as an adult.
He told me that it was the single, most important lesson he’d ever had in life.

Naw, no research or prep work for me. My gut tells me what to do -- start running,

... even if it’s in the dark.

I must say... I’m awestruck. I didn’t expect this much reaction, this quickly, after tentatively

Blamecasters have written to insist that their failures are all due to someone, or something
else.
And of course, the cynics are sure I have some tricky, ulterior motive in sharing my
thoughts on this topic.

me, like a bolt. I just had to update a note I had sent
to you a while back. You may have forgotten it, but I
never will.
A few nights ago, we were driving home from dinner. It
was late and I saw a light in the upstairs window of a
neighbor's home. It caused me to stop and wonder.
As you know, Ken, not that long ago my window light in my
basement office was also burning late into the night. I
wondered if my neighbor's late nights were being fueled
by the same passion that fueled mine only a couple of
years earlier.
My desire to create a better lifestyle and escape a job

Before you even read this article, please watch my video below about having the right mentality before you begin.

Too many people come to this site looking for an "easy" or "quick" way to make money and there is no such thing. So please watch this video for a reality check.

Below the video you'll find different ways you can make money on the Internet.

1. Become an Affiliate
This is the only way I've ever made money on the Internet and one of the most convenient. As an affiliate you refer your audience to various company websites, and when a sale is made you earn a commission.

You are the middleman (or middlewoman) so you don't have to deal with customer service, taking orders, etc. The companies you become affiliated with provide you with a tracking link to use to link to their site. That's how they track how many sales you've generated.

Almost all affiliate programs are free to join. It usually involves filling out a sign-up form and within moments the company sends you the links you need to use on your site or blog.

The key is to choose a subject you love (hobby, passion, topic, etc.) and build a content-rich, informative site or blog about it.

Here's an example. Say you love fishing. You could create a "how to" site on fishing that provides all the tips and techniques one needs to become a successful fisherman.

First you'd have to read up on SEO (search engine optimization) to learn how to get your pages ranked high in Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.

Then you'd make money by joining affiliate programs that offer fishing related products. Link to these products from your site and earn commissions when your visitors buy through your links.

For example, Clickbank has a very generous affiliate program. Many of the products there pay up to 75% in commissions. Learn more about Clickbank.

You can also earn money from programs like Google AdSense having other Webmasters advertise on your site. The possibilities are endless! Thousands of people (including myself) make a living from affiliate marketing.

2. Sell Your Own Product (Hard Goods)

This is often the most common method people think of when it comes to making money online. In fact, many people think it's the best way to earn a solid, long-term income.

I do agree that it can be the most lucrative approach, since having your own product means you directly control how much profit you make.

However, there can be some headaches with this method. For example, you are in charge of everything. Selling your own product means you are responsible for customer service, collecting orders/payments (credit cards), developing and shipping the product, etc.

Note: Thanks to companies like PayPal, the "collecting payment" part has gotten a lot easier.

In addition, it's usually a good idea to setup some kind of business name, although it is not necessary.

Selling a product can be a lot of work, especially if you're new to marketing. However, once those sales start rolling in, you can build a steady, long-term income.

3. Sell Your Own Product (E-Goods)

An e-good (short for electronic good) is a digital product that can be easily transferred or downloaded via the Internet.

No need to worry about running out of inventory because the digital format rewards you with an unlimited supply of your product!

Lots of Netpreneurs sell e-goods because they are much easier to manage. You don't have to ship the products. Customers can either download the product immediately after ordering, or they can be sent via e-mail.

E-books are the most common type of digital good sold on the Internet. They are often created with software like Adobe Professional (PDF) and then uploaded to the Net with ease.

Jim Edwards created a useful guide that shows you how to create your own e-book in 7 days.

When I bought the book, I had to admit I was a little surprised. I am normally very suspicious of these "how to" books because they often contain regurgitated facts you can find anywhere on the web for free.

This book is different. I had no idea it would be this detailed. There are 522 pages (with lots of screenshots) of practical advice on content organization, pricing your ebook, selling it on Amazon, designing your cover and more.

Jim left no stone unturned. On page 225, he even gives specific advice on how to pace yourself so you can make good use of your time and meet your completion goal.

He devotes the last few hundred pages to pure Q&A so you can obtain answers to questions about formatting, graphics, offering bonuses and more.

Jim also gives excellent advice on how to pick the right topic. So if you're thinking, "I don't know enough about anything to write a good book." Think again. I bet Jim will change your view and fill your head with ideas.

4. Start an eBay Auction

Who doesn't have excess stuff they need to get rid of? A lot of people make money on the internet by opening up an eBay auction site and selling things from their home.

With this method, no website is needed. All you need to do is sign up for an eBay account and go from there.

I won't even pretend to be an expert on this subject. I'm an affiliate marketer at heart so I'll let the eBay experts have this one.

Speaking of experts, John Thornhill wrote a book on how to profit off eBay and become a successful PowerSeller like he did.

You may find this book useful if this is the approach you want to take. Nothing like learning from someone who has actually been there, done that.

The number one statement I always hear from those who want to make money online is, "I don't have anything to sell".

I cannot stress the following point enough...

You don't have to sell a product
to make money with a website.

Don't even think of copying from someone else's site. Not only is it illegal, but search engines now penalize (ignore) duplicate content.

That is such an important point because when you help someone or solve someone's problem, it actually build your credibility. They are more likely to take your suggestions and recommendations seriously and you'll earn loyal visitors for life.

Now it's time for you to brainstorm and think of YOUR topic. Everyone has a passion for some kind of issue or topic. What do you know that can help others? Acne tips, weight loss, investing, home repairs, sewing, golfing, buying a home -- I'm sure you can think of something.
