This post is about “totes”. Totes are those handy as hell bags that people carry to transport anything from groceries to laptop to gym stuff. Commuters live out of their totes and they really are key pieces of kit for the modern worker/person. Women especially seem to favor totes.

So, Ive made a couple to date. I’ve learned a bunch, mostly that they are a shit ton of work to produce and need alot of fine detailing to really stand out. They also need to be heavy duty and these two babies definetly are that – heavy duty!

These two are made from fantastic leather, super comfy handles, doubled up bottoms, sewn, riveted in all stress points and glued. These bags are heavy duty, make no mistake,. I am actually considering posting their weight only because if your looking for a lightweight unit – this ain’t gonna be it.

Problem is, every single one of the ones I’ve made to date has found a home before I really got to photograph them and so, i am trying to get one or two of these in the hands of people that are NOT friends and family, ha!

The front strap (thick part that goes from the front of your instrument to over your shoulder ) measures 2″ wide x 35″ long. The strap has about 4-5″ inches of play in it, so if you tell me the longest you wear a strap and the shortest, I haven’t punched any holes in it, so I can set it up to accommodate your requirements. The rear strap is 2″ wide and has a badass patina’d brass buckle holding it to the main strap.

If this doesn’t make sense and I am writing Swahili, just email me, I’ll try harder!

This strap is really a heavy duty beauty, it’ll last lifetimes and I will set it up with schaller style strap locks – you tell me – nickel finish or black.

The Crusher has a cool keeper , that holds the tip of the belt (the billet) that has matching yellow thread. The penny that helps hold on the buckle end of the belt is a 1966 vintage. The buckle end is a wack blue/oxblood mashup.

This belt has been cut from the very best domestically made 12oz (very thick), vegetable tanned leather. The belt is lined with mission grain pigskin and stitched with domestically sourced Yellow nylon thread, giving it a resilience to stretching, sweating and wear. I use only the best dyes, hardware and threads – and a ton of information is available on my web site.

DETAILS of this belt:
The Crusher is 1.75″ wide, the buckle is a really well made domestic, custom oxidized brass buckle. OR – I can use your own buckle if it will accept a thick 1.75″ belt billet… I attach the buckle with Chicago screws so if you ever want to change up the buckle on your own, you’ll be able to.

I also make knife and tool sheaths from heavy weight vegetable tanned cowhide. I’ve made guitar straps, leashes and wristbands – all with a different look and design as your commonly used to seeing. If you’re looking for something you don’t see, ask. I am always up for a challenge, within reason.

The beautiful nickel plated brass buckle is a solidly made sweetie domestically made !

The front strap (thick part that goes from the front of your instrument to over your shoulder ) measures 3″ wide x 45″ long. The rear strap measures 1.75″ wide (with a taper to 1″ on either end) by 24+” long. The strap has about 4-5″ inches of play in it, so if you tell me the longest you wear a strap and the shortest, I haven’t punched any holes in the strap, so I can set up that rear strap to accommodate your requirements (with 5″ ).

This Super Squire measures 6. long and 4″ at its widest point. There are stitched patch pockets made of pigskin in the Squire that can handle most of the “card-age” you need to carry. There are my half moon dollar organizers on one side and the lining is deerskin that i dyed in a kooky colorful pattern.

The design on this wallet is sweet – meander border design, there is a snap closure that holds it tightly closed with a 1972 era penny snap closure made by your truly. Its not set up for a chain, but it can be if you’d like.

The Short Timer

This is a beauty of a journal cover with a new journal placed inside so you can hit the next meeting in great style.

The penny snap closure is of a 1980 vintage.
The brown leather, is a super interesting, top grain, pull up chrome tan – really different and shows every mark.
It has chrome tan pockets inside to hold the journal.
The thread is purple.
