										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you landed on this page it means you&#8217;re looking after how to get rid of the write protection that all of the autodesk usb sticks ship with.<br />
This article covers, specifically, the 32GB stick from 2015 (or maybe 2014).<span id="more-438"></span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="wp-image-442 size-medium aligncenter" src="http://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-300x141.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="141" srcset="https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-300x141.jpg 300w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-768x361.jpg 768w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-1024x482.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-945x445.jpg 945w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1306-600x282.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /><br />
<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-443 size-medium aligncenter" src="http://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-300x82.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="82" srcset="https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-300x82.jpg 300w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-768x210.jpg 768w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-1024x280.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-945x258.jpg 945w, https://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/IMG_1307-600x164.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></p>
<p>I spent over 3 hours in order to get this solved and I got it worst: after using the formatter <em>SilliconPower.exe</em> tool, my stick got messed up, rendering it useless to the point that even though it was detected upon plugging it in, it always gave me the message &#8216;drive has no media&#8217; whenever I tried to repair, format, wipe or even create/delete partitions.</p>
<p>Anyway, if this is what you are after, download <a href="http://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/MPALL-v3.63.0C-DL17-stevesmind.zip">this</a>. It contains MPALL v3.63.0C-DL17 which was the only version that properly detected this USB Stick (I tried, 5 or 6 different versions till I got to this one). I managed to get a hold of this version while searching through and landed on this page: <a href="http://repusb.cubava.cu/?page_id=140&amp;cpage=4">http://repusb.cubava.cu/?page_id=140&amp;cpage=4</a></p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll find MPALL versions that suit your usb stick in case yours is a different version than the one I got.</p>
<p>Regarding this stick, this is the most important information you must know:</p>
<p><code>Chip model / IC Version: PS2251-03<br />
Burner: BN03V104.BIN<br />
Firmware: FW03FF01V10010M.BIN<br />
</code></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Download <a href="http://blog.stevesmind.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/MPALL-v3.63.0C-DL17-stevesmind.zip">MPALL v3.63.0C-DL17-stevesmind</a><br />
Within this file you have everything including:<br />
Burner file<br />
Firmware file<br />
MP.ini configured for the Autodesk 32GB usb stick<br />
MPALL 3.63.0C-DL17 out of the box (I decided to include this as while using MPALL 3.29 I noticed the application stopped working so including it just in case)</p>
<p>I hope this is helpful to someone out there. If it is, leave a comment. Would love to know this was valuable to someone.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For the last months I have been dealing with <a href="http://www.adobe.com/solutions/web-experience-management/scene7.html" target="_blank">Adobe Scene7</a> every once in a while on my job. From configuring Viewers to invalidating CDN cache when necessary, my experience and feedback on it was good.</p>
<p>Until now.</p>
<p>I never cared that much about the fact that its interface was all Flash. Not after I started using IBM&#8217;s Websphere Commerce (an e-commerce platform) where all of its management tools are built on flash. Flash is.. well, outdated. It doesn&#8217;t perform or work &#8211; sometimes, at all &#8211; but at this point let&#8217;s just say I couldn&#8217;t care less.</p>
<p>The issues came when I started playing around with <strong><em>Batch Set Presets</em></strong>: a feature that enables you to create ImageSets, SpinSets or Multi-Axis Sets automatically. The way it works is quite simple, actually, but somehow Adobe managed to mess it up. You start by defining a match expression (regex) to pick up your assets and group them into a set of the type you have chosen. Getting this to work is not as easy as you&#8217;d expect as the lack of help within the screen is close to nonexistent but once you understand how files get picked up, it&#8217;s pretty straight-forward.</p>
<p>Now, if you want your assets to be grouped in a Set in a very specific order which is not alphabetic, that is when your nightmares start. First of all, there is no documentation available for the <strong><em>Sequence Ordering</em></strong> functionality so you have to literally start your <em>trial &amp; error</em> attempts. This is when you need to be careful. During your tests, you will probably do something along the lines of:</p>
<ol>
<li>Generate Set</li>
<li>Verify Result</li>
<li>Worked as expected
<ol>
<li>Done!</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Didn&#8217;t work as expected
<ol>
<li>Unpublish Set</li>
<li>Delete Set</li>
<li>Start again.</li>
</ol>
</li>
</ol>
<p>While you are doing this and after a few failed attempts, you might end seeing the same result over and over again to the point where you think nothing you can possibly think will work as the result is always the same. This happens because, even though you unpublished and deleted the previous Set, for some reason that I cannot understand, that same Set you just deleted gets picked up and added back to your working folder. It doesn&#8217;t matter if you emptied your trash in Scene7 or not, if the Set has the name of a previously created Set, then it will get updated.</p>
<p>A nice way to spot (or replicate) this is to actually view the Job details window. You will notice on the detail message that Scene7 <em>updated your asset &lt;insert name here&gt;</em>.</p>
<p>So what is the solution?</p>
<p><!–-nextpage–-></p>
<p>So the solution for this is to actually change the prefix (or suffix) of the Batch Set Preset on the <strong><em>Naming Convent and Creating Options</em></strong>. This way the Set always gets created from scratch and you are 100% sure you are seeing the result of your changes.</p>
<p>Another interesting fact is the <em><strong>Active column</strong></em> of the Batch Set Presets. Ticking this checkbox also seems to have no impact all. Whatever presets you have on that list will get executed when you upload a file, it doesn&#8217;t matters if you have it active or not. Perhaps I am looking at this field the wrong way and expecting a behavior that is completely different than what was implemented, but then I guess the point I mentioned above about no context help being available applies here as well.</p>
<p>I am not sure how mature this feature is within Scene7 but all I can say is that I wasted quite some time on this until I (finally!) got it to work.</p>
<p>Oh, and if you are wondering about Sequence Ordering, just use a regular expression to match whatever files you want to be first. Eg: if your first file needs to be the one ending with the word &#8220;main&#8221;, then just use something like [a-zA-Z0-9]{10}main.</p>
<p>I hope Adobe updates this tool and fixes all of these issues (and gets rid of its Flash interface too!)</p>
<p>If this helped you let me know! Write a comment here or drop me a tweet @<span class="DashboardProfileCard-screenname u-inlineBlock u-dir" dir="ltr"><a class="DashboardProfileCard-screennameLink u-linkComplex u-linkClean" href="https://twitter.com/flipesteves"><span class="u-linkComplex-target">flipesteves</span></a></span> and share your experience with Scene7.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So ever had this issue? I&#8217;ll explain:</p>
<p>Say you are using Eclipse and you are trying to connect to a SVN Repository behind a proxy and for some really strange reason, it just won&#8217;t connect. You have changed the proxy settings on the Eclipse Preferences, but nothing helps.</p>
<p>Guess what? The SVN plugin/extension in Eclipse bypasses your proxy settings. In order <strong>to get this to work you need to search for a servers file</strong> that is <strong>located on the C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\Subversion</strong> directory. Once you edit this file, look up for the <strong>http-proxy-host</strong> and <strong>http-proxy-port keywords</strong> under the [Global] section and set it with your proxy settings.</p>
<p>Once that is done, save the file, restart your Eclipse and bam! Fixed!</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;re banging your head against the wall because your MVC5 application does not run on IIS 7, I have the solution for you.</p>
<p>First, let&#8217;s quickly go through some basic stuff that you probably read 10x times already, but still usefull to understand if this problem affects you or not.</p>
<p>You got your application deployed, the application pool is set to 4.0 .NET Framework and you didn&#8217;t touch the directory privileges (honestly, you don&#8217;t need to change folder permissions unless you&#8217;re handling files from your code, trust me!) but still you get a 403 error stating that either you don&#8217;t have permissions or the server is not set to list the contents of a directory.</p>
<p>The solution, is simple, just open a command promt window and type this:</p>
<pre>%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i</pre>
<p><a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/k6h9cz8h%28v=vs.80%29.ASPX">More information on aspnet_regiis</a>.</p>

<p>All I can say is: Google is awesome!</p>
<p>Android Gmail will also feature these new options:</p>

<p>Sadly, the new inbox is rolling out gradually so it may take a few days until you can see that option on the gear menu.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Gnometer, a skin for Rainmeter, has been out for around 3 years now and it has a few outdated settings. So far, I have noticed that the Windows Media Player settings for the Media Player gnometer does not work at all. A quick search through the links on the skin and google will lead you to this <em>new plugin</em> called NowPlaying.</p>
<p>The changes to make it work are simple but they are not easy to find as they are scattered through a few posts on the rainmeter forums.</p>
<p>Below, the fully working settings.ini file.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>About 2 months ago, I wrote about a photography and video class. It was my intention to write about them weekly and turn those posts into some sort of a summary that would form a mini dossier for this class.</p>
<p>But I didn&#8217;t had the time.</p>
<p>And it went too fast. Yes.</p>
<p>But it was nice. I learned a few things (a lot less than what I had imagined, but whatever).</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m only talking about the Photography part of this formation because, the video part was just ridiculous! I wouldn&#8217;t recommend those lessons to anyone in all honesty.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After deploying one of my applications a user reported this error. This is the type of error I personally hate because the Exception Message is not clear to what <em>object</em> is it referring to.</p>
<p>Anyways, nothing that a quick search on Google couldn&#8217;t help. Turns out, there&#8217;s a limit for input objects in forms defined in ASP.NET since <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2656351">December 2011 Microsoft security patch</a> to prevent malicious code through injection. To change this limit you have to edit your web.config file and add the following code inside your &lt;configuration&gt; tag.</p>
<pre>&lt;configuration&gt;...
&lt;appSettings&gt;
        &lt;add key="aspnet:MaxHttpCollectionKeys" value="<em>your_value_here</em>" /&gt;
&lt;/appSettings&gt;
&lt;/configuration&gt;</pre>
<p>Save your file and restart your IIS.</p>
