Tenerife island–Above the cloud

2011-07-22T11:28:00.001+01:00

First of all, this is the most beautiful island I’ve been so far, ideal for the beaches lover. In my opinion, definitely well worth a visit. Tenerife island is the largest and most populous of the seven canary islands, having 43% of the total population of the canary island. The island is located near to Morocco , however, it belongs to Spain. There are all lovely people here, they are hilarious, friendly, and fun! The first destination we’ve been was the Mount Teide, I am glad that the mountain did not erupt during my visits, god blessed.

Excited!

We waited for about 30 – 40 minutes, most probably because of the infrequent cable car.

Sir, why did you look into my camera? lol!

The thingies are called Echium Wildpretti, it was a lot smaller than I see from the pictures

The power of nature, its amazing

We will be the next! Cant wait!

The views are stunning, I can never leave my camera in my bag!

Almost reaching the top!

Here we are, above the cloud! Those are not sea or river, they are clouds, I was standing above the cloud!

Mount Teide, just few weeks before we went, there was an earthquake in Malaga, I was quite worried.

The creation of art by nature, winds, rain, snow, sun.

It wasn’t cold at all during our visit, however its better to bring some jackets with you. Yes we found ices.

One of my friends remind me of “the lord of the ring”.

Leaving the mount.

I love it.

I am loving the view of the mount.

More to come, dolphins and whales!

To be continue..

There is no word can express the feeling during my graduation day, let’s share the little art work I’ve done on combining all of them; pictures tell the stories.

Basilica,

Vienna, Mozart orchestra and Schonbrunn Palace

2011-06-21T21:48:00.001+01:00

The interior design of Musikverein - Golden Hall. Watching a concert by the local orchestra is a must when one visits Vienna. Vienna is a classical music hub after all!

The hall was fully packed with people, or rather tourists! It’s a bit too touristy for me, but definitely well worth the money.

Gentlemen with Wigs and leggings. What a sight!

The choir supporting the Orchestra.

Interval. I love those music stands! Time for photoshoot

Everyone’s well dressed for the occasion. Look at the happy faces :) We even made some friends there. Had a good chat with a lovely family from the US.

The conductor, the soprano, and the male lead.

The end of the concert. It was a standing ovation!

Schloss Belvedere. A stunning palace.

A hybrid between a fish and a horse. A seahorse!

The garden of Schloss Belvedere

Schloss Schonbrunn. Schloss means castles in the German language. This was the summer residence for the Imperial family.

The Austrians built a magnificent fountain and a great arch on the hill top overlooking the garden.

Perseus with the head of Medusa. Watch Clash of the Titans and you’ll see what I meant. Avoid looking at the eyes of the Medusa- it will STONE you! LOL. muahaha. I love greek mythology.

The only thing in focus is the “horse-driver”. Fetish camera.

Best photo of the year.

A plant in the Japanese garden.

The greenhouse in Schloss Schonbrunn Gardens. With riceballs around it. Gosh I miss Melacca’s chicken rice balls.

No comment. banned. – written by Daniel. :(

The Hundertwasser House. It significantly stood out among the grey and normal big city buildings. It’s a colorful, leafy, fairytale castle!

The Austrians even specifically design their waste combustion building. How bizarre is that!

The national opera house of Vienna. The Phantom of the Opera~~ opps. that’s in Paris.

They even placed an owl on the exterior of its university building, strange people strange place. What’s even stranger is that they put a fake Johann Strauss statue to cover for the real one when the real one is under renovation. And they made Strauss second to us. We are the champions!

The famous Mozart statue

With treble clef made of yellow flowers!

*wink*

The food in Vienna is… uhh, not too bad. But the drinks, see below, is SPECIAL!

The one of the left is an Austrian soft drink, and the one on the right, chili beer! It’s uniquely spicy, worth a try! Parliament building with Athena statue.

Karlskirchethe: finest of Vienna’s baroque churches. We wrote signatures with iPhones, marking the end of a wonderful visit to Vienna. Good bye Vienna~

The end of Vienna

Vienna, Austrian National Library (Prunksaal/State Hall)

2011-06-05T14:39:00.001+01:00

Vienna, The Kunsthistorisches Museum (The Imperial and Ecclesiastical Treasury)

2011-05-26T22:00:00.001+01:00

The Crown of Emperor Rudolf II，不知有多少珍珠在里面。

The Austrian Orb

Left - The Mantle of Austrian Emperor

Robes of a Knight of the Austrian order of the Iron Crown

Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria wearing the Lombard–Venetian Coronation Robes

Life can be full of surprises if you have a viewpoint from a different angle! It’s in fact a bicycle parking stand!

One of the prettiest building in Prague

I remember counting “1,2,3..SNAP!” for this photo, only to realize that there’s no need for cue at all!

A building near to the Prague castle, be amazed!

A beautiful quartet, giving a classical and animated atmosphere to the public.

Spot the height difference!

And ta-da, who’s taller now?

Changing of Guard

This is what the Chinese say: “面壁思过”

If only I have a hat! Similarity of the trousers, the shirt and sunglasses = 90%

The cathedral in Prague Castle

Playing with shades

Magical isn’t it?

Back of the cathedral.

Stev, the Guardian of LV, Canon, Harrods, and Guess.

Pretty ladies

Pretty ladies in the air!

High 5, mate!

Out of many, ONE USIAN BOLT!

How cute can Swee San be?

Dracula

Stunning Charles bridge night view, dazzling sky

This is like real Spinning class! Worth for a try if you willing to pay, it was like £3 per person in Prague

Prague, Czech Republic–part three

2011-05-03T10:23:00.001+01:00

cheese!

Pose

The Church of Our Lady，发现左边的塔小过右边的一些些，导游说是因为以前的工程师明明画错但是死要面子当作故意的 *薄脸皮*

Free tour

Municipal house，

Panorama

Profile Picture

Assortment of grill specialities - Menu

Roast pork knee

Pork Ribs

St. Thomas’ Church

Freedom Square

Things happen everyday in our life, day by day you tend to see and study people. It was very unfortunate that such thing happened in my family, until now, I still slap on my own face to see whether I am still in dreams, perhaps my spinning top will never stop spinning. (inception)

Ridiculously, there are a lot of "self-modified" stories going on passing in people, different version, different founder, perhaps different artist. I couldn't stop people from speaking, but I hereby clarify that no one wanted this to happen, it was purely an accident. Some people tend to express how well my dad is with them and how much my dad havn't told us as his sons and family, I just cannot believe how people are taking advantage on top of all this. Well, that was a good lesson for me, I shall thank them.

I've been always reminding myself, you are not the most unfortunate one, every single second, there are still people suffer and die from hunger, disease, etc, there is no reason for me(us) to stop right here, we need to keep moving. No surrender, no retreat. Winners never quit, quitters never win - Giov

Rest in Peace daddy

Obese (overweight)

2011-01-05T02:38:00.002+00:00

"1 in 3 adults and 1 in 5 children is currently obese. The number of overweight people in the world (1,000 million) has overtaken the number of people with not enough to eat (800 million) for the first time."

I've been a health conscious person since I was about 17-year-old, when health problems start to occur in my family members. As I observed since then, I found the major health problem comes with eating habit. I've been told once "Fat people do live longer than skinny ones", I think this is absolutely ridiculous and just an excuse for people who do not want a change in themselves.

I have a youngest brother who is in serious obese, I got terrified as I calculated his BMI yesterday: 38, which I cannot believe my eyes. People often blame their genes causing their Obesity (fat) which is indeed true but not completely true.

"People who inherit one version of a gene called FTO are 70 per cent more likely to be obese than those who inherit another." There are seven more genetic regions that influence body weight. However, of the seven variants identified, five are active in brain. The implication is that they affect obesity not by changing people's metabolism but their behaviour. For example, you may have a gene that increases appetite.

As a conclusion, eat according the food pyramid (recently Les mills has introduced this to their instructors) and join a gym.
