A remix of La Chansons “Ice Princess” entitled “Ice Castle” is NOW available for your listening pleasure!

“Ice Princess” was released on their sophmore album entitled “At The Chateau”.

“At the Chateau” is La Chansons second release on Atlanta’s Stickfigure Records. The album follows last year’s “King and Queen of the Dance Floor,” which was made for living room dance parties and making funny mix-tapes for your friends. “At the Chateau” still has that La Chansons sense of humor with songs like “Candy Party,” “Dr. & Nurse,” “Heels Come Out at Night,” and “Spin the Bottle.” However, much of this album is inspired by our experiences navigating our double lives as day-time workers and night-time rockers. Songs like, “Jerrica,” and “Turquoise Paradise” illustrate the challenges of working 9-5, and the joy that comes when we “flip the switch” to become La Chansons. We dive a little deeper this time with “Ice Princess” and “Love Dream,” and some songs simply describe our real nights out on the town, like “Club Europe,” and “I Can Rock Harder.”

Here is “Nightfall In The Border Country” by Warning Light from the album “Wild Silver”.

“I could see how Warning Light’s ambient drones could drive some listener’s crazy. It’s music consumed by buildup and anticipation, with wave upon wave of mounting tension and slight harmonic variations that rarely offer release. There are no valleys to float or fall into—just a series of contiguous peaks that eventually blur into a single sustained stream of sound. But it’s also music that rewards patience and imagination. For those listeners willing to submit themselves to Drew Haddon’s gray-hued noir soundscapes, there’s something unsettling yet captivating about his meditative walls of sound.

Pulled from last year’s excellent full-length effort, Wild Silver, Warning Light’s latest single, “Nightfall in the Border Country,” is cinematic in the classic sense—it’s gritty, grainy and more concerned with generating a specific mood and atmosphere (in this case an extremely eerie and foreboding one) than it is with transporting you into a trance.

To accompany this latest release, Haddon has also released a companion video that uses stark black and white imagery to visually translate the song’s dark and creepy aura.
