New Alice in Wonderland Character Movie Posters

Not sure when these were released but I have just found the new Alice in Wonderland charcter posters. I first saw the trailer for the film before watching Avatar, and the trailer was in 3D – this film looks absolutely stunning. And you just know that the Johnny Depp / Tim Burton combination was made for a film like this. And casting Matt Lucas as Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee is inspired.

The fantastic colours used in these posters and the wonderful costumes and make-up of the characters only helps to enhance the feeling of excitement that is building up for the release of the film. Only another 3 months to wait until we get to see the film in all of its 3D glory!!

The World’s Biggest Plane, the Antonov 225, Comes to Doncaster Robin Hood Airport

Being based so close to Doncaster Robin Hood Airport means that every now and again we get to see some unusual arrivals. Just last week The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which is just down the road from us in Branton, flew 13 lions in to the airport from Romania.

And yesterday the biggest plane in the world – the 285 tonne Antonov 225 – landed at the airport. The 84m long monster arrived to pick up a 70 tonne generator and transport it to Pakistan. The Ukranian aircraft, which departed just after lunchtime today, requires a huge distance to take-off and land, and Doncaster Robin-Hood Airport – formerly an RAF base for the ‘V’-Bombers during the Cold War – boasts a massive 1.7 mile long runway, making it the perfect place for the Antonov 225 to land.

If you can’t read the strapline at the bottom right it says simply ‘Cars In Miniature’.

Nokia Unveils The Worlds Biggest Sign Post

Check out the link to the video below of the worlds biggest sign post.

Finnish company Nokia erected the sign last month in London. The sign invites passers by to text a number with the name of a place somewhere in the world. The signpost would then display the name of said place and move around so that it pointed in the correct direction.

Tooth Fairy Movie Poster – The Cheesiest Poster Ever??

Dwayne Johnson’s (a.k.a ‘The Rock’) latest movie has just come out in America, and is due out in the UK at the end of May, and its poster features an early contender for the worst pun of the year – in actual fact it could well be the worst pun ever used on a movie poster! I have not heard any reviews about the actual movie so I couldn’t comment on that, but if these posters are anything to go by then I don’t think it will be challenging Avatar in the box office takings this year!!
