India&#39;s biggest car maker in terms of sales, Maruti Suzuki India declined 2.7% to Rs 872.35. Maruti Suzuki may reportedly launch a Rs 1.5 lakh car by end of this year or early 2009 to challenge Tata Motors&#39; Nano. According to reports, it will have a Suzuki 660cc engine - as against Nano&#39;s 623cc - and wear a tag of around Rs 1.5 lakh on road (excluding insurance). Nano is expected to be Rs 1.25 lakh on road.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tata Motors, India&#39;s top commercial vehicles maker in terms of sales, declined 1.87% to Rs 755.50. The issue received bids for 12.69 lakh shares at 14:00 IST as against 2.50 crore shares on offer. Volumes remained low for the second day in a row.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sensex ended down 208.88 points or 1.14% at 18152.78, and the Nifty shut shop down 109.25 points or 2.03% at 5274.10.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bajaj Auto advanced 6.22% to Rs 2405. It today reported 40.10% surge in net profit to Rs 481.79 crore on 53.48% rise in total income to Rs 6483.55 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006. European markets opened lower.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Housing Development Finance Corporation (up 3.30% to Rs 2803), Reliance Energy (up 2.11% to Rs 2073), and ACC (up 2.55% to Rs 807.80), edged higher from the Sensex pack&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;India’s largest real estate developer DLF slipped 5.20% to Rs 896 on 2.78 lakh shares.
