Trust matters, when it is all about money and money. Before investing in any company’s stock you must be a master in investment skills and have trust in that company. Publically traded companies establish their trust by listing to the Stock Market. Traders open up and fund a stock brokerage account with a broker that handles transactions on the public exchange where the stock is listed.

Most of the profit sharing companies give private investment opportunity or make trust by offering interested investors the opportunity to make private loans.

We examine whether the level of trust in a country affects investors' perception and utilization of information transmitted by firms through financial disclosure. Specifically, we investigate the effect of societal trust in investor reactions to corporate earnings announcements. We test two competing hypotheses. On the one hand, corporate earnings announcements are perceived as more credible by investors in more trusting societies and, therefore, elicit stronger investor reactions. On the other hand, societal trust mitigates outside investors' concern of moral hazard and reduces the value of corporate earnings announcements to them, thereby weakening their reactions to these events. We analyze the abnormal trading volume and abnormal stock return variance during the earnings announcement period in a large sample of firm-year observations across 25 countries, and we find that both measures of investor reactions to earnings announcements are significantly higher in more trusting countries. We also find that the positive effect of societal trust in investor reactions to earnings news is more pronounced when a country's investor protection and disclosure requirements are weaker, suggesting that trust acts as a substitute for formal institutions; when a country's average education level is lower, consistent with less educated people relying more on trust in making economic decisions; and when firm-level information asymmetry is higher, supporting the notion that trust plays a more an important role in poorer information environments.

China is the major consumer of paper worldwide at 106 million tonnes, followed by the US at 71 million tonnes and India sharing the same scale of the population as in China consumes a very little share which makes us understand the fact that India has a lower penetration rate and enjoys a greater scope of growth.

Talking particularly of the packaging sector, around 55 percent of the global consumption of paper is in wrapping and packaging. India is still behind in this particular segment. The plastic used to be the first choice of manufacturers for packaging.

In the recent past, state governments have taken a series of measures to ban plastic and ensured strict compliance in the plastic industry. This move has helped gain traction for the paper packaging industry, though not fully scaled up yet, and would increase its demand in the coming years. Also, robust demand in the food industry, mono cartons in the pharma sector, and multiple orders online are expected to drive substantial demand for paper packaging.

Secondly, China has banned the import of certain waste grade of paper owing to environmental concerns resulting in a decrease in waste paper prices. India which imports around 40 percent of waste paper stands to benefit out of the same. As already India has a scarcity of Pulpwood, the raw material used for manufacturing paper, and in the coming years owing to environmental concerns this scarcity is expected to shoot up further, giving pricing power to this industry. Attributes to this pricing power are also due to limited production (68.58 lakh tones) and increase in consumption (109.27 lakh tones).

Thirdly, there is a demand by major players to increase import duty on paper products, currently at 0 percent as per FTA. If it does, it would also provide benefit to this sector.

Also, the “Going digital” the slogan was expected to be a major slowdown in the paper sector. But, nevertheless, it should be known that paper packaging would be a boon for this industry.

JK Paper | Rating: Buy | CMP: Rs 122 | Target: Rs 150 | Return: 23 percent

The last quarter has been the best for FY19. A surge in the price of paper has contributed to an upside in revenue. Moreover, most of the pulp is derived from plantations close to their manufacturing units attributing to the reduction in material costs and expansion of margins.

The company is having two large integrated paper manufacturing units with a combined capacity of 4,55,000 TPA and is already running at 100 percent capacity utilization. At the Sirpur plant, two machines will start producing from the second quarter and the other two machines will be ready for production by September-October 2019. Thereby, the full capacity will be used for production purposes by October.

This additional expansion will help grow by at least 20 percent in volume terms. Furthermore, the expansion plan is in line for a new packaging board machine and pulp mill in Gujarat, awaiting environmental clearance were an additional new board machine of 1.7 lakh tone or two lakh ton would be added.

Also, it would be putting up a pulp mill of almost 1.5 lakh ton capacity in the next two years.

The company has a healthy financial profile; the net debt has been brought down significantly to Rs 700 crore in fiscal 2018-19 and the surplus cash being generated in going ahead will be used for repaying the debts.

Huhtamaki PPL | Rating: Buy | CMP: Rs 259 | Target: Rs 310 | Return: 20 percent

Being having a strong legacy, a unique client base and relative inelasticity of the FMCG sector (derives 80-90 percent of revenue) to economic cycles, coupled with the global footprint of parentage, and deep market penetration; aids company to make profits in long run.

In 2018, it suffered from extra provisioning on account of income tax and interest. However, from Q4 CY 18, most issues have been settled down and delivered vigorous Q1 CY19 results. Forthcoming, it expects topline to grow at 10-12 percent and likely to see 60-80 Bps ramp up in operating margin in the next two years. But, the margin growth depends on upcoming monsoon, the scenario of the FMCG sector and volatility in crude oil prices.

Increasing capacity utilization to a maximum of 80-85 percent, improving demand for flexible packaging and NASP initiatives would enable to improve its volume growth and boost revenues as well as profits ahead. In addition, the acquisition of PPIL and Ajanta Packaging (India) would help to consolidate its position in pressure sensitive label business, and is likely to be EPS accretive as well, which could help to expand strong foothold and growth too.

International Paper APPM | Rating: Buy | CMP: Rs 428 | Target: 520 | Return: 21 percent

International Paper APPM being an MNC company is well placed to take advantage of the growth in paper industry. On the front of the number, it reported pretty damn good results with EBITDA soared 61 percent during Q4 FY 19 driven by higher sales volume, record production levels, lower cost of raw material and improved operational efficiencies. Besides, a sharp fall in interest charges added to the company’s profitability, registering 83 percent PAT growth in Q4.

In addition, Debt has been significantly dwindled from Rs 180 crores to Rs 12.54 crores in FY 19 and is expect to be brought down further moving forward. Despite its plant running at 95 percent capacity utilization, it has not yet announced any significant capacity expansion plans for subsequent years. Moreover, China’s ban on imports of low grade recovered paper is expected to keep global pulp prices elevated, the resultant increase in global paper prices which has improved its realizations, thereby supporting its high margin ahead.

By investing in fiber-based markets, controlling costs, managing capital spending and focusing on deliberate improvement efforts to increase productivity and efficiency, expects a company generating a strong set of numbers and free cash flow in years to come.

Domestic markets ended the week on weak note with Nifty finished below 11,750 level amid uncertainty around the US-China trade negotiations and rising oil prices.

The Nifty50 started off selling at the word go and fell further in the latter part on June 21 after escalating tensions between US-Iran and RBI Government comments.

The index closed way below 11,800 levels and formed Bearish Belt Hold pattern on the daily charts and bearish candle on the weekly scale. For the week, the index lost 0.8 percent, continuing downtrend for the third consecutive week.

The index has recently taken multiple support near 50 DEMA at 11,650 zones but the absence of buying interest is also visible at 11,850 zones, experts said, adding that bearish candle on daily, as well as weekly, scale indicates that bears are restricting its upside momentum.

The Nifty50 opened lower at 11,827.60, which was also an intraday high, and extended selling pressure in the second half to hit a day's low of 11,705.10. The index closed lower by 107.70 points at 11,724.10.

Domestic markets ended the week on a weak note with Nifty finished below 11,750 level amid uncertainty around the US-China trade negotiations and rising oil prices.

At close, the Sensex was down 407.14 points at 39,194.49. About 1157 shares have advanced, 1292 shares declined, and 167 shares are unchanged.

Hexaware Technologies, up 21 percent

The share price of the software firm Hexaware Tech gained over 20 percent for the week. Japanese brokerage Nomura upgraded to the company to “neutral” from “reduce” after the acquisition of Mobiquity. On June 14, Hexaware acquired US firm Mobiquity Inc for around USD 182 million to directly compete with large digital agencies and consulting firms.

"We acquired Mobiquity Inc for a total consideration of around $182 million to directly compete with large digital agencies and consulting firms," the Indian IT firm said in its BSE filing.

Suzlon Energy, up 10 percent

Suzlon Energy added over 10 percent for the week. The stock jumped the most in five months on June 20. Lenders are likely to consider the beleaguered wind-turbine maker's plan to sell its operations and maintenance business to pare debt. The firm plans to offer a so-called one-time settlement to the lenders led by SBI using the proceeds of the sale, sources said.

Godrej Properties, up 4.65 percent

Real estate major Godrej Properties registered gains of over 4 percent for the week. However, the scrip fell 3 percent intraday on June 21 after global investment firm Morgan Stanley downgraded the stock on valuation concerns. "We downgrade Godrej Properties to underweight from equal-weight, but raised price target to Rs 802 from Rs 707 earlier," the brokerage said, adding current valuation appears ahead of fundamentals.

It further said the downgrade reflected its relative preference within its coverage universe. The stock trades at a 10 percent premium to one-year forward NAV estimate and risk-reward is skewed negatively, it added.

Jain Irrigation Systems, down 32 percent

The share price of Jain Irrigation Systems plunged as much as 32 percent for the week after India Ratings cut its long-term issuer rating. India Ratings and Research said it has downgraded Jain Irrigation Systems' Long-Term Issuer Rating to BBB from A- while placing it on Rating Watch Negative (RWN).

The downgrade reflects deterioration in the liquidity profile of Jain Irrigation on account of a delay in the realization of its receivables from its micro-irrigation systems (MIS) the segment, the rating agency said.

Reliance Communications, down 13 percent

Claims against Reliance Communications (RCom) has risen to Rs 57,382.5 crore with new entities, including some Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group companies, joining the creditors' list, according to a regulatory filing. Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) Pradeep Kumar Sethi, however, admitted dues of Rs 30 crore out of fresh claims of Rs 8,189 crore, taking admitted claims so far to Rs 49,223.88 crore, RCom said in the filing.

The stock price continued to slide even further after Reliance Communications reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7,767 crore in the fourth quarter of 2018 -19. For the entire financial year 2018-19, the company reported a net loss of Rs 7,206 crore as against Rs 23,839 crore in 2017-18.

Jet Airways, down 11 percent

Jet Airways has been on a roller-coaster ride throughout the week with the stock skyrocketing as much as 150 percent on June 20. The Mumbai bench of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) an admitted petition filed by the State Bank of India (SBI) for resolution of Jet Airways under the Insolvency code and suggested a timeline of 90 days, citing it as a matter of national importance.

NCLT directed the IRP to submit fortnightly progress reports on the case, with the first such report to be submitted before July 5. The troubled airline that was grounded two months ago as it ran out of cash, owes over Rs 8,000 crore to a consortium of 26 banks led by SBI.

UPL, down 11.36 percent

The share price of agrochemical company UPL registered a loss of 11 percent for the week. However, the stock rebounded 5 percent on June 21 after Deutsche Bank maintained a buy call on the stock. The brokerage house also set the target price at Rs 1,050, implying a 21 percent potential upside from current levels.

UPL shares corrected 13 percent in the previous two sessions – on June 19 and June 20 – on concerns like Mauritius Tax Law and Asian Swine Fever. Deutsche believes these concerns are overdone.

Dewan Housing Finance, down 9 percent

The NBFC crisis has led to DHFL registering yet another week of loses with the scrip ending the week 9 percent in the red. The scrip rose 10 percent on June 21 after reports made rounds that the company has sold Rs 2,000 crore worth of its loan portfolio to offshore investors led by SC Lowy, a privately-held banking group headquartered in Hong Kong.

The share price fell 16 percent to hit five-and-half-year low on June 6 as rating agencies downgraded rating on commercial paper after the company defaulted on debt repayment.

Indiabulls Housing Finance, down 8.93 percent

The share price of Indiabulls Housing Finance ended the week down over 8 percent. The stock fell 8 percent on June 12 after the company moved the Supreme Court seeking an urgent listing of a plea filed against it in which it has been alleged that the company misappropriated Rs 98,000 crore of public money.

Indiabulls Housing Finance on Friday said the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposed merger of the company with Lakshmi Vilas Bank. "The Competition Commission of India... at its meeting held on June 20, 2019, considered the proposed combination and approved the same," Indiabulls Housing Finance said in a BSE filing.

IRB Infra, down 12.85 percent

IRB Infra ended the week with loses of over 12 percent. During the week, the share price fell 14 percent on June 19 to hit more than the five-year low after a media report indicated that there could be a new operator for Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

IRB Infrastructure told CNBC-TV18 that it will rebid for the Mumbai-Pune project in August as it contributed 13 percent to FY19 revenues.

एशियाई बाजारों मे आज कमजोर कारोबार देखने को मिल रहा है। एसजीएक्स निफ्टी पर भी हल्का दबाव देखने को मिल रहा है। ट्रेड टेंशन बढ़ने की आशंका से कल अमेरिकी बाजारों में लगातार दूसरे दिन गिरावट देखने को मिली। उधर अमेरिका में क्रूड इनवेंटरी बढ़ने और डिमांड में कमी की आशंका से कच्चे तेल में 4 फीसदी की भारी गिरावट देखने को मिली है। ब्रेंट 60 डॉलर के नीचे फिसल गया है।

भारतीय बाजारों पर नजर डालें तो सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी की चाल में सुस्ती देखने को मिल रही है। दिग्गज शेयरों के साथ ही आज मिड और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में भी सुस्ती नजर आ रही है। बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 0.21 फीसदी की कमजोरी के साथ 14,891.82 के स्तर पर नजर आ रहा है। वहीं, स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 0.33 फीसदी की कमजोरी के साथ 14,500.61 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। क्रूड में कमजोरी का फायदा तेल और गैस शेयरों को मिल रहा है। बीएसई का ऑयल एंड गैस इंडेक्स आज 0.22 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ कारोबार कर रहा है।

बाजार में आज रियल्टी और फाइनेंसियल सेक्टर शेयरों को छोड़कर चौतरफा दबाव देखने को मिल रहा है। निफ्टी के ऑटो इंडेक्स में 0.29 फीसदी, एफएमसीजी इंडेक्स में 0.44 फीसदी, आईटी इंडेक्स में 0.10 फीसदी, मेटल इंडेक्स में 0.88 फीसदी और फार्मा इंडेक्स में 0.12 फीसदी की कमजोरी देखने को मिल रही है।

हालांकि कारोबार के इस दौरान रियल्टी, मीडिया और फाइनेंशियल शेयरों में कुछ खरीदारी दिख रही है। निफ्टी का रियल्टी इंडेक्स 0.42 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ कारोबार करता नजर आ रहा है।

फिलहाल बीएसई का 30 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स सेंसेक्स करीब 115 अंक यानि 0.3 फीसदी की कमजोरी के साथ 39,640 के स्तर के आसपास कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं एनएसई का 50 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स निफ्टी करीब 35 अंक यानि 0.28 फीसदी की कमजोरी के साथ 11,875 के नीचे कारोबार कर रहा है।

The market staged spectacular performance with not only Nifty & Sensex, but also Bank Nifty hitting record highs after Narendra Modi was re-elected as Prime Minister on May 23.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got a thumping majority by winning 353 seats in Lok Sabha elections 2019, which was a great show by the ruling party, very similar to the exit polls forecast.

As a result, the Nifty50 crossed the 12,000 milestones and the BSE Sensex 40,000 level for the first time in history, gaining 4 percent each to an end record closing high during the week ended May 24. In addition, Bank Nifty also hit a new high of 31,705 and saw a record close by rising 6 percent in a week.

As markets rallied sharply, investors, too, became wealthier by a whopping Rs 6 lakh crore during the week. The total BSE market capitalization increased to Rs 152.7 lakh crore on May 24, from Rs 1.46 lakh crore on May 17.

During the week, it made a 44-month high of 30.18 but after the election outcome, it fell drastically to 16.46 levels.

Another good part seen during the week was a sharp fall in the volatility index. India VIX corrected by 41 percent during the week from 28.08 to 16.46 levels.

Top Gainers

Bank of Baroda, up 25 percent

Bank of Baroda narrowed its fourth quarter FY19 net loss to Rs 991.4 crore from Rs 3,102.3 crore in the same period last year on elevated provisions. The loss was despite higher NII, other income, and operating profit. Net interest income grew 26.6 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 5,067 crore in the January-March quarter.

PSU Banks rallied as market experts believe that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) may cut repo rate in a forthcoming policy meeting scheduled on June 3-6, which is the key reason for the rally in PSU banks.

IndusInd Bank, up 20 percent

The share price of IndusInd Bank rallied as much as 20 percent for the week after brokerages remained strong despite weak earnings in March quarter. The management after earnings told CNBC-TV18 that the bank wanted to put IL&FS behind in FY19 and entire exposure to IL&FS has turned into NPAs in Q4.

DLF, up 16.5 percent

The share price of real estate firm DLF gained 16 percent for the week after the company reported a 76 percent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 436.56 crore for the quarter ended March on higher sales. Its net profit stood at Rs 247.73 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing. Total income rose to Rs 2,660.95 crore in the fourth quarter of 2018-19 fiscal from Rs 1,845.92 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

State Bank of India, up 11.31 percent

Market heavyweight State Bank of India was up over 11 percent for the week after experts believed that the MPC may cut repo rate in

the forthcoming policy meeting scheduled on June 3-6, which is the key reason for the rally in PSU banks. With a favorable government the formation, some experts feel that the RBI may cut interest rates which will help PSU banks as a whole.

Ashok Leyland, up 11 percent

Ashok Leyland added 11 percent in the week gone by despite the company reporting a 12.1 percent year-on-year degrowth in Q4 FY19 profit at Rs 653 crore. However, the stock rallied around six percent after margin touched 11 percent from 10 percent earlier. Revenue from operations grew 0.8 percent to Rs 8,846 crore led by sales volumes, which increased 1.3 percent YoY and 36 percent quarter-on-quarter to 59,523 units.

Net Sales stood at Rs 8,845.93 crore in March 2019 up 0.84 percent from Rs. 8,772.49 crore in March 2018. Quarterly Net Profit at Rs. 652.99 crores in March 2019 down 2.16 percent from Rs. 667.38 crore in March 2018.

HPCL, up 10 percent

The share price of oil marketing company HPCL gained 10 percent for the week as the company reported net sales at Rs 67,938.13 crore in March 2019, up 11.72 percent from Rs. 60,810.07 crore in March 2018. Quarterly Net Profit was at Rs. 2,969.92 crores in March 2019, up 69.91 percent from Rs. 1,747.89 crore in March 2018.

All OMCs showed some gains as crude futures are on track for their biggest weekly losses this year, with Brent, set for a decline of more than 5 percent.

PNB Housing Finance, up 16.99 percent

The share price of PNB Housing Finance jumped close to 17 percent for the week after the company reported a 51 percent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 379.77 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2019. The company's net profit stood at Rs 251.58 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2017-18.

Its total income (consolidated) during the quarter rose to Rs 2,148.19 crore, up by 31 percent as compared with Rs 1,638.48 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a regulatory filing. Net interest income (NII) registered a growth of 13 percent to Rs 609.7 crore from Rs 540.8 crore, it said.

Top Losers

Jubilant Life Sciences, down 13.5 percent

Pharma company Jubilant Life Sciences was down over 13 percent for the week after it reported a net loss of Rs 100.65 crore in Q4FY19, on account of a one-time loan settlement with International Finance Corporation (IFC). The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 152.40 crore in the year-ago period, Jubilant Life Sciences said in a regulatory filing.

Torrent Pharma, down 7.25 percent

Torrent Pharma reported a 7 percent decline in share price in the week gone by. The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 152 crore in Q4FY19, mainly on account of exceptional items. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 228 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Torrent Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to the BSE.

The company's consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,856 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 1,708 crore for the same period a year ago.

Tech Mahindra, down 6.24 percent

The share price of Tech Mahindra was down over 6 percent for the week mainly on account of strengthening the rupee. The company reported 8.8 percent fall in Q4 consolidated net profit at Rs 1,126.6 crore against Rs 1,230.8 in Q3FY19. The company's dollar revenue stood at USD 1,267.5 million in Q4FY19. The dollar profit of the company slumped 13.7 percent YoY to USD 162.3 million.

Modi further added that investors must not rush to buy in this indecisive phase and go shopping only after the election results, scheduled to be announced on May 23.

As we inch closer to the election results day (May 23), the Street is factoring in Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) win but with a reduced majority as the base case scenario said CLSA's Chief Strategist Christopher Wood in his weekly note 'GREED

जिन कंपनियों के आज नतीजे आने वाले हैं, उनमें अंबुजा सीमेंट, टीवीएस मोटर, कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक, अजंता फार्मा, BASF, Can Fin Homes, CONCOR, एक्साइड इंडस्ट्रीज, गोदरेज प्रॉपर्टीज, Gammon India, गृह फाइनेंस, रेमंड और शॉपर्स स्टॉप के तिमाही नतीजे आने वाले हैं। इन नतीजों के बारे में जानने के लिए आप हमसे जुड़े रहिए।

बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र :- बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र घाटे में चल रहा था। लेकिन अब मुनाफे में आ गया है। वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्रा को 72.38 करोड़ रुपये का मुनाफा हुआ है जबकि वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्रा को 114 करोड़ रुपये का घाटा हुआ था। वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र की ब्याज आय 1000 करोड़ रुपये रही है जबकि वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्रा की ब्याज आय 881 करोड़ रुपये रही थी। तिमाही आधार पर चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र का ग्रॉस एनपीए 17.31 फीसदी से घटकर 16.4 फीसदी और नेट एनपीए 5.91 फीसदी से घटकर 5.52 फीसदी रहा है।

तिमाही आधार पर चौथी तिमाही में बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र की प्रॉविजनिंग 4422 करोड़ रुपये से घटकर 415 करोड़ रुपये रही है।

यस बैंक - वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में यस बैंक को 1,506.6 करोड़ रुपये का घाटा हुआ है। वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में यस बैंक को 1,179.4 करोड़ रुपये का मुनाफा हुआ था। वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में यस बैंक की ब्याज आय 16.3 फीसदी बढ़कर 2,505.9 करोड़ रुपये रही है। वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में यस बैंक की ब्याज आय 2,154.3 करोड़ रुपये रही थी।

हीरो मोटर - वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में हीरो मोटर का मुनाफा घटकर 730 करोड़ रुपये हो गया है जबकि वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में हीरो मोटर का मुनाफा 967 करोड़ रुपये रहा था। वित्त वर्ष 2019 की चौथी तिमाही में हीरो मोटर की आय घटकर 7885 करोड़ रुपये हो गई है जबकि वित्त वर्ष 2018 की चौथी तिमाही में हीरो मोटर की आय 8564 करोड़ रुपये रही थी। हालांकि मैनेजमेंट ने शेयरधारकों को 32 रुपये प्रति शेयर का अंतिम डिवडेंड देने का एलान किया।

एनटीपीसी- एनटीपीसी ने मध्य प्रदेश के गडरवारा में आज रात्रि 12 बजे से अपना उत्पादन शुरु करने वाली थी। लेकिन कंपनी ने अंतिम समय में अपना फैसला टाल दिया है। फिलहाल अब आज से कंपनी का बिजली उत्पादन शुरु नहीं होगा।

NHPC - NHPC से इंडिया आर्मी के साथ मिलकर एक MoU पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिये हैं। एनएचपीसी अंडर ग्राउंड बंकरों का निर्माण करती है।

सिप्ला - सिप्ला कंपनी को Gilead Sciences कंपनी के Letairis Version की जेनरिक दवा बनाने का एप्रूवल मिल चुका है।

Market Opens: It is lower opening for the benchmark indices on Monday with Nifty slipped below 11,700 level.

At 09:18 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 200.46 points or 0.51% at 38939.82, and the Nifty down 74.30 points or 0.63% at 11678.50. About 317 shares have advanced, 591 shares declined, and 53 shares are unchanged.

Tata Coffee, SpiceJet, Dr Reddy's Lab, HDFC Bank, are among major gainers on the indices, while losers are Reliance Undustries (RIL), Jet Airways, Reliance Capital, Reliance Infra, Reliance Power, Reliance Comm, SBI, DHFL and Canara Bank.

On the sectoral front except IT all other sectors are trading lower led by energy, infra, auto, bank, metal and pharma.

In April, the Indian market scaled record highs even as crude prices inched higher, now trading above USD 71/bbl (around November 2018 highs). Crude price rose from $53.80/bbl on December 31 to $71.64/bbl on April 17, an increase of over 33 percent.

Foreign investors poured money into equities on the back of renewed hopes of a stable government at the Centre after the elections and on another round of rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India.

So far, the Street has ignored all the headwinds but how long will that last? Can the rising global crude prices jolt the rally in the Indian market?

Experts feel that as long as crude is trading around $70/bbl, the market will remain stable, but a sell-off in equities could be seen if oil breaks past $80/bbl.

How crude prices affect India

A rise in crude oil prices not only leads to an increase in the raw material cost for companies (where it is used as a raw material) but also fuels inflation in the economy.

If inflation surpasses RBI’s comfort level of 4 percent, chances of a rate cut will also vanish which could put further pressure on equities.

India imports about 85 percent of its oil requirements. Higher oil prices have a multiplier effect as various numbers like the balance of payments, currency and current account deficit worsened.

“It is important to note that if a rise in crude is accompanied by economic growth, the negative effects are offset by growth. Sentimentally, the threshold limit of $80 has seen sell-off in equities, currency, and bond market in the past, so that is the number to watch,” Prabhakar Kudva, Founder Director, Samvitti Capital told Moneycontrol.

“In the present scenario, if growth (both global and local) bounces back sharply the impact of crude could get negated, as it has happened in several bull markets in the past. A rough estimate suggests every $10 appreciation in oil price results in a 10 basis points jump in retail inflation,” he said.

Crude prices have an impact on inflation, bond yields, and currency.

However, some businesses have pricing power and should be able to pass it on the end customers, hence one needs to take a stock-specific view.

“A lot of Indian companies depend on healthy crude oil prices, this includes tire, lubricants, footwear, refining and airline companies whereas oil exploration companies in the country could benefit from the rise in oil prices,” Ritesh Ashar - Chief Strategy Officer - KIFS Trade Capital told Moneycontrol.

“We don’t see any reason to worry at this level for investors. In fact, India has the ability to perform well even at the level where crude price rises till $75/bbl. The real reason of concern for the investors would be near the level of $80/bbl which can be considered as the threshold level which could disrupt macros and hurt earnings,” he said.

Castrol India

The base oil is the raw material for the company and hence it is dependent on the movement of oil prices and rupee against the US dollar.

The base oil is derived from crude oil and makes up 53 percent of India's total imports. So, the rise in crude oil price will impact the margins of Castrol.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation

The rise in crude oil price will result in low earning growth in oil marketing companies. HPCL will be impacted negatively with the rise in the price of crude oil as it would result in a decline of its GRMs.

GAIL India:

Gail will benefit from higher crude prices as this will increase the utilization of petrochemical capacity and there will also be a boost in gas utilization thus increasing its complete energy imprint.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation

Movement in oil prices and the government's formula of subsidy sharing decides the performance of this counter. Looking at the current market scenario and the rise, which is already seen and expected, ONGC is one counter that will benefit from the increase in prices.

Market Close: After hitting record highs in the morning trade, the benchmark indices gave all the gains and remained under pressure for rest of the day on the last trading day of the week as Nifty ended at 11,752 level.

At close, the Sensex was down 135.36 points at 39140.28, while Nifty was down 34.40 points at 11752.80. About 872 shares have advanced, 1662 shares declined, and 163 shares are unchanged.

Market will remain shut of Friday (April 19) on account of Good Friday.

Yes, Bank, Indiabulls Housing, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta and Zee Entertainment were among major losers on the indices, while gainers include Reliance Industries, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, BPCL and Wipro.

Among the sectors, except energy all other sectoral indices ended in red led by PSU bank, infra, metal, FMCG and auto.

On the weekly chart, Nifty has formed a bearish candle similar to Hammer followed by Doji candle to the previous week. Since the last six days, Nifty is trading in the range of 11,700-11,550 indicates consolidation in the near term. Nifty is holding its 20 and 50 DMA which indicates index holding bullishness on short term chart.

The chart pattern suggests that if Nifty crosses and sustains above 11,680 level, it would witness buying which would lead the index towards 11,730-11,760 levels. However, if the index breaks below 11,550 level, it would witness profit booking which would take the index towards 11,500-11,470.

Nifty has the highest PE the concentration at 11,500 followed by 11,600 which may act as support for current expiry.

Nifty Call strike 12,000 followed by 11,800 witnessed significant OI concentrations and may act as resistance for current expiry.

If Nifty manages to cross above 11,760, then short covering action can be seen in market and Index may scale up towards 11,850-11,900.

The weekly and daily strength indicator RSI and momentum oscillator Stochastic are below their respective reference lines indicating negative bias. We expect Nifty to trade in the range of 11,500-11,800 for the coming week.

Bank Nifty:

On the weekly chart, Bank Nifty has formed a small bearish candle with a lower high compared to the previous week indicating losing strength. Since the last 5-6 days, Bank Nifty is trading in the range of 29,650-30,100 indicates sideways momentum.

Bank Nifty has the highest PE the concentration at 29,500 followed by 29,800 while Bank Nifty Call Strike 30,000 followed by 30,200 witnessed significant OI concentration and may act as resistance in the coming days.

Chart pattern suggests if Bank Nifty breaks below 29,700 then we may witness more profit booking which could drag it towards 29,500-29,400 in the short term, while above 30,200, we may witness short covering action which could take it towards 30,500-30,700 on the higher side.

The weekly and daily strength indicators are in positive territory while momentum indicators stochastic has given a negative crossover to its reference line, indicating some profit booking or consolidation in the near term. We expect Bank Nifty is expected to trade in the range of 29,500-30,100 in the coming week.

Market at close: The benchmark indices ended higher on Friday with Nifty ended above 11,600 level.

At the close, the Sensex was up 160.10 points at 38767.11, while Nifty was up 46.80 points at 11,643.50. About 1355 shares have advanced, 1138 shares declined, and 153 shares are unchanged.

Shares of IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys ended flat ahead of their March quarter earnings to be released later today.

GAIL, ITC, Maruti Suzuki, Cipla, and Zee Entertainment were among major top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Indiabulls Housing Finance, IOC, Bajaj Finance, L&T, and Tata Motors.

Among the sectors, auto and FMCG indices led the gainers with 1 percent gain followed by IT, pharma and bank.

Benchmark indices ended flat after a rangebound session on April 11 as traders remained cautious ahead of TCS & Infosys earnings scheduled to be announced tomorrow.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 21.66 points to 38,607.01 and the Nifty50 gained 12.40 points at 11,596.70. The market breadth remained in favor of bears as about 1,325 shares declined against 1,153 advancing shares on the BSE.

Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto and Dr. Reddy's Labs were gainers while Infosys, TCS, Vedanta, Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Tech Mahindra were losers among Nifty50 stocks.

Manappuram Finance, HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, Rain Industries, CG Power, Tata Global, Adani Power, and Tata Power were midcap gainers while Reliance Naval, Edelweiss Financial, Jubilant Foodworks, and DLF lost 2-7 percent.
