EDS provides interpreters for clients in Stockport and the surrounding area, and there is an upper limit to the payment of travel expenses to keep the cost of interpreting at an affordable rate for the organisations using interpreters. Applicants living at a greater distance than 20 miles from Stockport town centre should be aware of the limit on travel claims. Ideally candidates need to have an accredited interpreting certificate or qualification at level 3 or above. However, in the case of languages where the service has a shortage, a level 2 accredited interpreting certificate or qualification may be acceptable.
