Let’s encourage our Stoneleigh students to become more active and creative people!  Remember to keep your TVs, computers, DS’s, and other screen devices OFF during our Screen Free Week.   At the end of the week, turn in a voucher to your homeroom teacher to receive a reward.

Dumbarton Middle School PTSA is sponsoring a FREE Parent Education Night on Tuesday, March 27th at 7 p.m. in the DMS auditorium. Cyber-bullying may affect each of our children in some way. This program, which will be presented by Baltimore County Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (which is State mandated and federally funded), will offer ideas and solutions to combat this problem.

Gifted and Talented Student Panel Discussion

 Wednesday March 7, 2012 Start time:  7 p.m.

Parents and students, join us for an informative discussion by some of our GT students about the life and challenges of being a GT student in Baltimore County public schools.  Our elementary school panel members will have their discussion first (7-7:50 pm), followed by the middle and high school students. Students will discuss what life is like as a GT student and their day-to-day issues, including:
What does the term GT mean to you?
What are some of the good things about being in GT classes?
What are some of the difficulties you run into as a GT student?
Do you feel you are being appropriately challenged in all of your subjects?
Homework.
Getting involved in extra curricular activities.
For high schoolers: GT and/or AP classes.
How do you feel about being a “GT” kid?
