When I think of this blog I admit I get a feeling of disappointment and I see the immaturity I possessed. I was young when I started this, hasty, and nearsighted. Though I had good intentions I was extremely prejudiced. If you are just now looking at this note that this is the mark of change, a rebirth. I have just encountered an incredible ministry that shows how indeed abortion is "The Living Holocaust." There is though more that I saw revealed through a video that can be seen at the end of this post.

The honest truth is that those who support pro choice views are not murderous, hateful beings. In most cases pro choice people supporters believe abortion is a good cause and way of ending painful circumstances. Sadly many of those who are pro life are just as uneducated in the whole process as pro choice supporters. I myself have been recently convicted in how I have handle this debate. I was encouraged though to see in this video the change of mind each person had in regards to their beliefs. Whats beautiful here is that when these peoples' views change, their honest and good hearts are exactly as they were before they were pro life. We are different people but all human beings. We must realize that the people on the other side of our views are much like us in that they wish to be loved and shown the respect they, as an American, deserve. Greetings everyone, my name is Scott and I will be joining the incredible David on his passionate and inspiring mission to raise awareness and fight abortion. I will be posting here occasionally along with David as we continue to try to reach a wider audience and move in God's will towards doing something that we hope will change the world.

A Call to Sympathy

Abortion is a touchy subject. Two sides are dead set on their beliefs, insisting that the opposing side is not only wrong but that they are absurd for thinking the way they do. There are numerous pro-choice organizations out there such as NARAL that have pages and pages of reasons as to why abortion is safe, legal, and perfectly moral. Meanwhile, pro-life organizations like The National Right to Live list endless sources on the cruel, immoral, and downright hateful nature of abortion. Both sides have developed names for themselves as well as for the other, such as "pro-life", "pro-choice," as well as the less flattering "pro-abortion" and "anti-choice." Each side paints themselves in the best light possible while demonizing the other.

Both pro-choice and pro-life organizations make valid points for their case, and that is something I believe supporters of either side don't take time to consider. Pro-life people aren't just a bunch of strict religious nuts who think women should have no control over their body. Likewise, pro-choice believers aren't a pack of blood-hungry baby killers. Both views have their reasons.

I believe it is important for people, no matter what you believe now, to understand the other side, not for the sake of changing opinions but so that we have sympathy and understanding for their beliefs, just like we would like people to do the same for us.

To be clear, this is a pro-choice blog. Examining pro-choice ideals does not make us any less so, all it does is emphasize the need for understanding and sympathy. We want to raise awareness about abortion, but we want to do so lovingly. We never want anyone to feel judged here, but we also want our stance on this controversial matter to be obvious. Our passion for justice is strong but it is not ignorant or one sided.

In a few upcoming posts, I will present some of the logic behind their beliefs, along with the Biblical pro-life responses to them.

The Reality and Effect Abortion Has on Women

The women listed here all were in difficult situations and had an abortion. Some of these women had more than one. These women explain the effect it had on them.

Clearly there is something more going on then the doctors or pro choice leaders say. The relationship of a mother and her child is powerful. In some of these stories the mother of the aborted child still felt the need to take care of her young, but it was too late. The bond was so great it continued even after death. Is a baby tissue, or is a baby more than that? I strongly believe that a baby is a living part of the mother, and if taken away will cause more pain and suffering than ease.

The Lies Told and Facts Hidden

When a woman comes into an abortion clinic the minute she walks in the door she is told an abundance of things. She is told things like the baby is tissue, the baby is not a human being, it won't feel a thing, and that its her right to abort her own baby. These are things I totally don't agree with, but forget about what I think, lets get into the facts.

March 6th 1887, United states supreme court ruled black people were not legal persons, according to the constitution. Slaves could be beaten and killed by their owners because slaves were their "property". Eleven years later it was concluded in the 13th and 14th amendments "all human beings" have the "right" to life and the persuit of happiness.

Problem solved? Not true.

January 22 1973, United States supreme court ruled unborn human beings are not legal persons according to the constitution. The child can be killed by its mother because its her "property".

Since then in a period of 23 years 33 million babies have been aborted in the United States, 1.5 million annualy, 180 deaths an hour.

Well if you believe unborn babies are just tissue these statistics may not even affect your views. However lets look closer at this so called tissue.

In the process of birth nothing is added to the tissue except time and nutrition. This tissue develops a heartbeat at the 18th day of existing. At this time the mother doesn't even know she is pregnant.

This tissue also developes brain waves in 6 weeks.

It is known that life officialy ends when the heart stops beating and there is no brain wave activity. Babies are aborted when they have heartbeats and brain wave activity. If man can decide when life ends by this standard why doesn't man decide life starts by this standard? So what standard is man really deciding life starts? Simple, life starts when the mother wants it to.

The baby is her "property" so she decides if it lives or doesn't. Our government literarly says that it doesn't matter when life begins. Life is based on opinion. If you believe the baby is living you shouldn't abort it, if you believe the baby is not living you can abort it. This is such depraved thinking.

Heres is an example of how abortion is such depraved thinking.

There are two mothers, mother A and mother B. Both mothers become pregnant at the same time. 6 months later mother A gives birth while mother B still bares a child. 2 weeks later both mothers want to kill their babies. Mother A can't because her child has been born but mother B can because her child has not been born. 2 identical babies, 1 lives the other does not.

"Preparing For Rain"

I will never forget when I first saw "Facing The Giants". The victory, the excitment, it all hit me at once, but what really got me was when this man in the story talks to the main character Grant Taylor and encourages him. He tells him that God has a position for him in life and untill God says otherwise, the door to success will always be open. Then Grant admits his discouragment and tells the man that he doesn't see God at work even with all his prayers. Then the man tells him about a story of two men who desperately needed rain for their crops. The men both prayed for rain, but only one prepared his field for it. Then the man asks Grant who he thought God provided rain for. Grant says the man who prepared his field, and after the man asks him "which one are you?"
Right now I ask you the same question.

So many times I am beaten down by the ifs and the slim possibilities of success. I think of how many people have failed at doing some of the same things I wish to accomplish. I see these walls that seem impossible to get past and wonder how I may cross them. I am often blinded by the possibilities of failure, but what do I really have to lose? THERE IS NOTHING GOD CAN'T DO!
God said if you have the faith of a mustard seed you can command the mountains to cast themselves into the sea and they will do so. God doesn't just say things to add fluff to the bible. You can do anything with the power of Christ.

So you're probably wondering what on earth does abortion, preparing for rain, and God's incredible power have to do with each other. What I'm trying to say is that we can do something about abortion, if we have the faith and commitment to do so. If we prepare our fields and believe that God is the Lord of every single thing that has ever existed, nothing can stop us. What should I care that I'm just a small teen? What should I care that I weigh less than 130 lbs in highschool? What should you care if people tell you you can't make an impact?

You may be wondering what I mean by saying "the living holocaust". One of the most horrifying times the world has ever seen is well known to us as the holocaust. We think about the pain, the misery, the death. If we would have lived in those times and somehow knew a way we could help stop the holocaust I'm sure many of us would do whatever we could. Well lets change things, how would you act if the holocaust was actualy happening in your country right now? You would be safe from death, but you knew others were dying. You wouldn't sit back and let it happen would you? You're a good person aren't you? You would wan't to do something about it right? Well there is some good news, the holocaust is over. So why do I use the words "living" holocaust when clearly the history books say the holocaust has ended? Lets look at the definition of "Holocaust".

Holocaust-Any mass slaughter or reckless destruction of life.

Truth is, there's a holocaust going on right now in your country. It is effecting the generations, killing millions of people, breaking the hearts of the living, and in the mist of all this there's you.

Think again about what you would do to save the lives of those whose bodies were humed in fire, crushed in graves, smitten in fear, and penetrated by bullets in the holocaust.

Its amazing to think Germans believed the lies and started the whole thing. I'm sure there were people who noeone would ever think would participate in such madness that did because they were decieved. I'll tell you now the Germans are not evil people. Its just for whatever reason they believed a lie.

Its exactly how the the living holocaust is. People decieved and people who don't fully understand. Good people. One day though I know just like slavery and the holocaust... abortion will be hated by most everyone in countries it occurs in today.

That's right, the living holocaust is abortion.

A mass slaugther of our own kind. The depraved thinking and deciet that takes place in abortion is so outstanding.
