Is Atheism a Faith Concept?

Let me present my analysis on this topic (I created it).

Normally, I have defended atheism over here rigorously in three topic (one of them exceeded a thousand posts).

I still defend atheism against 'non-sense', 'pseudo science', and unintelligible arguments. I do so on humanitarian grounds and since I believe that sincerity (genuineness) in belief is vital.

Anyway, here is my analysis on atheism:

Concepts that I have used rigourously:

The Veil of Perception

Almost all of our knowledge comes from sensation (sense-experience i.e. experiencing colors etc), and the data that is experienced (perceived) is called sense-datum i.e. colors. Our perception is limited by our senses and the metaphor used to illustrate this limitation is called ‘the veil of perception’. It is as if, a veil or some sort of covering is thrown over our perception and therefore, our knowledge is limited to the empirical or phenomenal world.

The Empirical (phenomenal) world

The word empirical means experiential—that which can be experimented, but it has a deeper meaning than this. The empirical world is the observable (scientific) world which deals with phenomena—that which appears to us. The phenomenal world or the physical world is the empirical world. It is this world that our minds are restricted to and it is this world to which science provides explanations through scientific theories and laws. The world beyond is likely not assessable to us because of the veil of perception and therefore attempts made to speak of the non-empirical world may not be legitimate.

The Non-Empirical World or the Super Empirical world

This world is beyond (meta) the physical (physics) world and is therefore metaphysics (beyond physics). It is also not phenomenal; nevertheless, attempts are made to somehow go beyond the veil of perception, from the empirical to the non-empirical world. One of the methods includes faith.

Faith

Faith is the least useful tool used in order to have some beliefs about something. But when other means i.e. logic, reason, etc. are not possible; the only method left is faith.

Theism

Theism is fundamentally a faith concept and the faith hypothesis is as follows: “There exists God”. God is not a scientific concept since it is not falsifiable or principally verifiable. It is not falsifiable because it is beyond the empirical world i.e. non-empirical world. This is why the hypothesis is also not a scientific hypothesis but rather a faith hypothesis.

Scientific hypotheses

A scientific hypothesis is an empirical or phenomenal hypothesis. All scientific hypotheses are only probable hypothesis. There is not a single hypothesis that if accepted or rejected is an absolute truth. This means that if I accept a hypothesis then there will always be the probability that I am wrong despite the evidence in favor of acceptance. Scientific hypothesis are of factual significance since they are genuine—falsifiable and verifiable. They strictly deal with empirical concepts and not concepts that go beyond the veil of perception i.e. non-empirical hypothesis.

Non-empirical hypotheses

Non-empirical hypothesis concerns concepts that go beyond the phenomenal world or beyond the veil of perception (if that is even possible). A good example of a non-empirical hypothesis is as follows: “There exists God”. The hypothesis is not empirical (non-scientific) because it concerns the concept of God which is not falsifiable nor verifiable and therefore non-empirical. This concept thrives on faith; another example of a non-empirical hypotheses is as follows: “There exists no God”. It too is not empirical (non-scientific) because of the non-falsifiable concept—God.

Hi friendsi feel a lot of heaviness in this group due to hatretand envy.friends five things ego,lust,anger,greed and sense gratification burns us from inside and leads us to darkness.we all are slaves of these five things,we must therefore find a way to get rid of this and the only way is divine knowledge which comes from the supreme.as eatables are food for the stomach supreme knowledge is food for the soul.
God is one he created us all alikebut we fight for different reasons and one of them is relegion.he made men but now when he looks down it seems we all have become worms.swami vivekanand-all persons in different relegious paths walk on circumference of circle and slowlyget closer at the stage of enlightment reach the center.
I read some posts like"indian muslims are poor"."pakistan is no good place to live".it is painfull that we all blame each other but do not understand the gravity of situation.prolems are in every country but the big deal is what do we do to solve those problems.sitting in the net writing these things create hatret.it is always easy to condemn but to take responsibility and solve burning problems is difficult.no one wants to do difficult things today.
Britishers divided us,they took full advantage .but we still dont learn from history.remember friends it were the britishers first who took advantage of the hatret now it is going to be someone else.apart from this do you know we spend a lot of our budget in defence,think if it would had been used to develop to feed who are hungry how good it would had been.but it is not possible till we are slaves of false ego and anger.weshould come together boost our ties do good buisness and stop unnessacary arm's race.european union is an example.
I would advice everyone not to spoil the minds of young ones who are going to take the responsibilities of thier nations.
At last i would like to ask you people where is the one universal thing which is missing,which everyone likes,which everyone is entitled to get from everyone."WHERE IS THE LOVE"

Elections for Development

Mumbai: Its election season and I see BMC workers and some local politicians trying their best to complete projects which have been pending since ages now. A new cobbled road is being laid in my area, sewage pipes are being laid gutters are being renewed. A bridge whose construction has been going on since 3 years has suddenly quickened pace-- this happens to be a bridge which coneects our are which also has a naval base to the whole of mumbai. I see roads being repaved ,garbage collectors coming on time,---the officials have opened their ears and closed their pockets

This is the scene every election season.
WHAT IF WE HAVE ELECTIONS Every years .
We have three types of basic elections
1)Lok sabha
2)State Assembly
3)Panchayat or Muncipal corporastion elections.all with a recurrence of 4-5 years
what if
1) Loksabha elections are held and after 2 years a reaafirmation election is held wherein the ruling party and the party with the second highest no of seats face a reaffirmation vote . and then after 5 years of the original election and all party election is held.
2) similarly in the state elections
3) the municipal corporation should have a reaffiemation vote every year

Hate Politics is what Indian politics is about. Mayawati hates Sonia, Rahul hates Advani, Advani hates Sonia, Lalu hates Raj Thackeray, Raj hates Biharis, Nepalis hate Bengalis, Tamils support LTTE, Kashmir is in complete hate for India......
VHP. Bhajrang Dal and RSS besides hate what else are they spreading?Congress is silent about Bangladeshi illegal migration in Assam....Leaders like Mamta Banerjee have taken WB another 15 yrs back.....
Why???? Why aren't there any Obamas for India? Why is it SO HARD for us Indians to say we are Indians by birth and not by accident? Why do we have to say that we are a Marathi, a Tamil, an Assamese first? Why does the "I"ndian word , "I am an Indian" does not come in our lips so easily????
Do we always have to see how America is growing and feel low about us? Elections 2009, no manifesto for us. No IITian no IAS officer, no AIMS doctor, no engineer , no IPS officer , no software giant, no industrialist ....none from the India's best brains fighting for us....If what we have amongst us are flim stars and hate speech providers, old and haggard, tired and weary..... India truly is shining!

India:Zahira wants to fight Gujarat polls

Vadodara: Zahira Sheikh, the key witness in the Best Bakery burning case who was later jailed by the Supreme Court for perjury, has expressed her desire to contest the Assembly elections provided she is given a ticket by a political party. In an informal chat with journalists in Vadodara on Tuesday, she said she wants to serve the poor and work for the upliftment of Dalits. Zahira was in the city to file her income tax returns after she was served a notice by the department. She was sent to jail last year following her inconsistent statements before courts in the high-profile post-Godhra riot case. She claimed that her family had disintegrated and she did not know where her mother Sherunisa, also a witness, had been staying.

Zahira said she was not getting a house on rent in Mumbai following her flip-flop in the case.She has been staying with her brother Nasibullah in one of the slum localities. Zahira said she has learnt embroidery, sewing and computer during her stay in Maharashtra's Nasik Central Jail and will use these skills to earn her livelihood. The 21-year-old said she wants to marry a man who can stand by her in all circumstances. After her release from the jail, it was her first visit to the city. She, however, did not visit her family-owned Best Bakery, which was destroyed in a March 2002 riot that had left 14 people dead. She later left for Mumbai.Zahira was released from the Nasik Central Jail in Maharashtra a few months back after serving one-year sentence. Her bank account was frozen by the I-T Department following allegations that she changed her statements in the high-profile riot case in lieu of money. In a brief chat with reporters, Zahira said she has deposited Rs 90,000 in a bank from the money earned by her family members through hard work. Giving the breakup for the amount, she said Rs 40,000 was obtained through the sale of a house in the Ektanagar locality. The remaining Rs 50,000 was earned through the sale of scraps and machines...

the 5th state of matter is bose -einstien condensate.
A Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC) is a state of matter of bosons confined in an external potential and cooled to temperatures very near to absolute zero (0 K or −273.15 °C). Under such supercooled conditions, a large fraction of the atoms collapse into the lowest quantum state of the external potential, at which point quantum effects become apparent on a macroscopic scale.This state of matter was first predicted by Satyendra Nath Bose in 1925. Bose submitted a paper to the Zeitschrift für Physik but was turned down by the peer review. Bose then took his work to Einstein who recognized its merit and had it published under the names Bose and Einstein, hence the acronymn.Seventy years later, the first gaseous condensate was produced by Eric Cornell and Carl Wieman in 1995 at the University of Colorado at Boulder NIST-JILA lab, using a gas of rubidium atoms cooled to 170 nanokelvin (nK)[1] (1.7×10−7K or −273.149999829 °C). Eric Cornell, Carl Wieman and Wolfgang Ketterle at MIT were awarded the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physics in Stockholm, Sweden.and there is one more state of matter now under discusionits rydberg matterOne of the metastable states of strongly non ideal plasma is Rydberg matter which forms upon condensation of excited atoms. These atoms can also turn into ions and electrons if they reach a certain temperature.

1) High resolution mineralogical and chemical imaging of permanently shadowed north and south polar regions
2) Search for surface or sub-surface water-ice on the moon, specially at lunar pole
3) Identification of chemical end members of lunar high land rocks
4) Chemical stratigraphy of lunar crust by remote sensing of central upland of large lunar craters, South Pole Aitken Region (SPAR) etc., where interior material may be expected
5) To map the height variation of the lunar surface features along the satellite track
6) Observation of X-ray spectrum greater than 10 keV and stereographic coverage of most of the moon's surface with 5 m resolution, to provide new insights in understanding the moon's origin and evolution

1) Carry out high resolution mapping of topographic features in 3D, distribution of various minerals and elemental chemical species including radioactive nuclides covering the entire lunar surface using a set of remote sensing payloads. The new set of data would help in unravelling mysteries about the origin and evolution of solar system in general and that of the moon in particular.2) Realize the mission goal of harnessing the science payloads, lunar craft and the launch vehicle with suitable ground support system including DSN station, integration and testing, launching and achieving lunar orbit of ~100 km, in-orbit operation of experiments, communication/telecommand, telemetry data reception, quick look data and archival for scientific utilization by identified group of scientists.

Chardrayaan-1 is the first Indian Mission to the Moon devoted to high-resolution remote sensing of the lunar surface features in visible, near infrared, X-ray and low energy gamma ray regions. This will be accomplished using several payloads already selected for the mission. In addition a total of about 10 kg payload weight and 10 W power are earmarked for proposals, which are now solicited. The mission is proposed to be a lunar polar orbiter at an altitude of about 100 km and is planned to be launched by 2007-2008 using indigenous spacecraft and launch vehicle of ISRO. The mission is expected to have an operational life of about 2 years.
