As competitive athletes, Kate and Eric claim to be super competitive with each other, but all I could see was smiles and laughter and a very sweet way together… I am looking forward to their wedding this summer at the Black Mountain Lodge at Arapahoe Basin. A-basin has always been a winter time favorite of mine and I think it is one of Colorado’s best new wedding venues!

It was so much fun shooting with these two on a Friday afternoon downtown! It is always fun to mix it up with some city shots to compliment a beautiful mountain wedding atop Keystone Mountain at the Timber Ridge. Looking forward to it!

What a beautiful spring (almost like summer) Colorado day we had for Rebekah and Daniel’s engagement session last week in Breckenridge! You two were so much fun to work with and I’m looking forward to your wedding at the Timber Ridge at Keystone later this summer!

Dana and Justin are getting married at the Ski Tip Lodge this summer.  With its rustic elegance and true mountain feel, the Ski Tip is one of my favorite Keystone venues. We photographed their engagement session in Frisco, since Dana has been coming here all her life… It was a beautiful, Colorado bluebird day -the “jackets are optional” kind… I am so excited for your wedding, you two!!

It is always so inspiring to see couples still so in love after FIFTY years! Bill and Jane gathered in Summit County to celebrate their anniversary with a family reunion.

Sweet Sullivan is growing right up and it won’t be long before he is the one hitting the nordic ski trails… But in the meantime, mama is pulling him happily in the chariot and he loves every minute of it. I am so proud of my little sister and am loving watching Sullivan grow. Dad didn’t make it into this impromptu session, but not to worry, there will be plenty more to come!

Meghan and Ryan have a fun laid back energy and we had such a great time on their engagement session last weekend! Thanks you two for sharing part of your St. Patrick’s Day in Summit County with us… I am looking forward to your Breckenridge wedding this summer!!

Alexis and Brandon’s wedding will be in Hawaii, so they wanted to mix it up a bit for their engagement session! What better place than a rendezvous in Keystone for some snowboarding and springtime fun? They’ll be getting plenty of beach time coming up, since they will actually be living in Hawaii while Brandon in stationed there while serving in the Navy. Thanks for your service, Brandon and Alexis- I am so grateful there are brave soldiers and families that support them who protect the freedom we all enjoy.

This sweet little bundle surprised her parents a few weeks early and made her appearance on New Year’s Eve! At almost 10 weeks old, we already know that she is a fan of history (thanks, dad!), and very inquisitive- just look at those big beautiful eyes!

It is hard to believe that December is upon us! I just wanted to share this one photograph from a session yesterday, the first day of December. The image inspires me to look past the busy-ness of the season and to remember to experience it with the joy and wonderment and excitement of a small child. My yoga instructor shared a statistic today that the average child laughs 200 times a day and by the time we are adults the average is a meager 7 times per day. Here’s to remembering to laugh and enjoy. We are so fortunate…
