The boys from Swim the Fly are back, and now they are high school sophomores. Cooper Redmond has just been assigned a semester-long project on contraception (really?!) in Health class, with none other than the school pariah, Helen Harriwick. Oh man! The one and only thing on Cooper's mind these days is rounding as many bases as possible with the cutest girl in school, the divine Prudence Nash, and this is a serious setback to his goal. The only idea Cooper can come up with to resuscitate his sagging reputation is for him and his buddies Matt and Sean to enter and win the school's Battle of the Bands. Great idea! Only problem? They totally suck.

When she is uprooted and moved to Rhode Island, Annabelle is forced to start all over again -- with her music, with her family, and in a new school where she knows no one. Now, Annabelle must define her own personal rules to rock by.
