Did you know the Metrolink goes to O’Fallon? Just take the Red Line all the way to the Shiloh-ScottAFB station. You can totally bike it from there (it’s about 5 miles and we have plenty of bike racks at the park! You’ll find on in front of the pool, near the stage), or hop on the #12 Metro Bus Westbound(SATURDAY ONLY!), get off at the front of Community Park on HWY 50.

If you are driving, we don’t really have a parking lot, persay. Community Park is located in the middle of mixed residential and commercial neighborhoods. You can park along most of the surrounding streets, just don’t block any driveways! Be prepared to walk a few blocks – luckily the weather looks beautiful! Handicap parking is available and accessible in front of the Caty Cavins Center. 5th Street (in front of the festival) will be closed to thru-traffic. F.A.Q.

ARE PETS ALLOWED? Yes! Leashed, friendly pets are welcome. Please take them outside the main festival grounds to go potty, and pick-up after them. Try not to freak out the Alpacas.
WHAT TIME DOES IT START/END? Festival hours are 10am-6pm both Saturday and Sunday.
HOW DO I PAY FOR THINGS? Many vendors will accept credit cards, but you should definitely bring cash! There ATMs located at banks on HWY 50 across from the park, and along Lincoln. See this map for details.

When you drop-off (in the horseshoe pit, behind the pavilion), you’ll get a coupon passport and map to all the vendors who will give you discount on their merchandise!

Check out our Food Vendors, Band Schedule, Activities, and Artists/Crafters on their respective pages, but here is a map of the grounds and list of vendor numbers so you’ll know what’s where(especially bathrooms!)

If you have any questions or otherwise need something at the festival, just stop by the Info Booth! We will not have any souvenirs for sale. Go buy art!!

Important PRO-TIPS:
1.No space after the “@” or the tag won’t work!
2. It’s gotta be a status update posted to YOUR profile, not in our comments or written on our wall.
3. MOST IMPORTANT. Make sure when you post your status, that you set the privacy to “Public” this option is on a drop-down menu to the left of the “Post” button. If you do not do this, we will not be able to see your post on our wall. Doh!

Rules and Terms:
1. Only correctly formatted tags that appear on Strange Folk Festival’s Wall will be counted. In order to tag the page, you must “Like” it, then post a status with “@Strange Folk Festival” – the “@” will disappear, and “Strange Folk Festival” will show up as a blue link back to our page(http://www.facebook.com/strangefolkfestival) when you post it.

2. Only one tag per person, per raffle prize window will be counted.
3. The winner of the raffle will be notified via comment on the status that they tagged.
4. Winners may pick up their prizes at the Strange Folk Info Booth anytime over the weekend of the festival. You must show ID to get your prize!
5. Any prize not claimed at the festival is forfeit.
6. Tagged statuses by Strange Folk Vendors will not be counted or eligible for prizes
7. Eligible status tags will begin being counted immediately after posting the prize and ends at the time indicated in the post.
8. No Purchase Necessary.
9. Prize may be a different item or color from the picture you see on our Facebook status thumbnail. That’s just the photo we used for their vendor page on our website, but you can visit the links they have provided to get a more in-depth preview of their merchandise.

More than just a craft show, Strange Folk Festival is an event that entertains, educates, nurtures, and strengthens the community.

The Southern IL Artisan Guild will be hosting a variety of craft demos including weaving, spinning, wood carving and more. Kids will squeal

Grown-ups will find plenty to entertain and delight them, too. Rub elbows with local authors at the O’Fallon Library’s Writer’s Block Author exhibit. Scratch your DIY itch at the Perennial booth and get free re-design advice for those extras that are lying about that you just can’t bear to part with. The Contemporary Art Museum will be unveiling their innovative mobile art studio featuring hands-on art experiences and virtual museum tours. For the animal lovers, Tenth Life Cats and the Southern Illinois Animal Rescue will be on-site with adorable adoptable pets to steal your heart. If the

outdoors is more your speed, chat up the fine folks at the Cave Archeology Investigation & Research Network and find out what’s happening in Missouri caves.

Don’t forget that The Upcycle Exchange will be collecting supplies again this year in the horseshoe pit! You’ll get a coupon passport, and a map of all Strange Folk vendors who offer discounts to anyone that drops off materials on the Wish-list.

Last, but not least, you’ll see trees adorned with hand-knitted “graffiti” from over 40 area knitters and crocheters. They have been working for months on their creations in preparation to YARN BOMB the park at Strange Folk!
