(Sept. 19) - Zoologists say they are baffled by a mysterious creature found in a creek in Cerro Azul, Panama.

Four teens claim they were playing in the creek on Sept. 12 when they saw the creature coming toward them, CNN reported.

The kids say they began throwing rocks at it because they were scared, and eventually killed it. The teenagers claim they then ran away but returned later to take photos.

Officials in Panama City are trying to identify the creature but say they believe it is an animal fetus. The find has spooked many in the small community.

Spain - 09-29-09 The power issues with the supernatural have on people is extraordinary. The latest example is a video that has come to the drafting of Terra Noticias, together with an anonymous note in which the sender says the fear he felt when he spotted a UFO from his boat.

While questioning the credibility of the images, since the absence of data we could not collect more information, the video is worthy of being published by the impact and creating curiosity aroused by the possible existence of UFOs in Spain.

The most impressive image of the video, which is engraved the most stylish 'Rec' or 'Blair Witch' is not only, obviously, the supposed UFO that crashes into the sea, but also the emergence of 'fighters' and wonder of surprising fishermen for persecution.

The Galician fisherman has decided to make public what, they said, lived and experienced while on his boat. While some apparent military aircraft chasing a 'foreign object' that hits the sea and made a spectacular dive, provenance unknown helicopter flies over the boat and ordered the fishermen to hurry to get away from the place where they are.

'Leave the area immediately, please contact the port. They receive instructions ... 'are the words to the fishing.

The note accompanying the recording, shows the fear of the sender in such a situation: "Sending this video after much thought, but after the scare, I think it my duty to report this has happened and I do not see any explanation

Man didn't descend from apes.

What is closer to the truth is that our knuckle-dragging cousins descended from us.

That's one of the shocking new theories being drawn from a series of anthropology papers published Friday in a special edition of the journal Science.

Scientists say a 4.4-million-year-old fossil called Ardi – short for ardipithecus ramidus – is descended from the "missing link," or the last common ancestor between humans and apes.

The 4-foot, 110-pound female's skeleton and physiological characteristics bear a closer resemblance to modern-day humans than to contemporary apes, meaning they evolved from humanlike creatures – not the other way around.

The partial skeleton "is probably the most important find we have had yet," says Owen Lovejoy, one of the primary authors on the journal package.

"It's transformative. This is a lot closer to anything that you'd call the missing link than anything that's ever been found," says Lovejoy, a biological anthropologist at Ohio's Kent State University.

Among other things, research on Ardi suggests humans are far more primitive in an evolutionary sense than today's great apes – like chimps and gorillas – which have continued to evolve from the missing link.

"In a way we're saying that the old idea that we evolved from a chimpanzee is totally incorrect," he says. "It's more proper to say that chimpanzees evolved from us."

Lovejoy says chimps experienced more profound evolutionary changes in their backs, pelvises, limbs, hands and feet as they adapted to life in the trees than the hominid line of upright species that evolved into humans.

"Hominids, it turns out to be, are pretty primitive," he says.

Lovejoy explains the actual missing link – or last common ancestor in scientific parlance – may have first sprung up some six million years before Ardi.

But Ardi, while past the initial link stage, possesses enough ape and hominid traits to show what those true common ancestors would have looked like, he says.

"It's the first find that we have that is really informative about what that last common ancestor was like."

Along with busting the supposed ape-to-man lineage, Lovejoy says, Ardi has obliterated existing theories about how, where and why our ancestors began the signature practice of upright walking.

First off, he says, none of our ancestors were like the "knuckle walkers" shown at the start of those famous human decent lineups.

The loping, knuckle-down gait that characterizes gorillas on the ground comes as a result of the stiffened backs they evolved to help in their arboreal acrobatics.

Hominids like Ardi, Lovejoy says, had pliant lower backs that allowed them to stand upright. And while they would often have moved palms-down across the ground like monkeys, they were bipedal much of the time.

But why did Ardi and her kin evolve this pedestrian practice in the first place?

Traditional thinking, Lovejoy says, is that our distant ancestors first stood up to get a better view of lurking predators and potential prey after they had knuckle-walked their way out of the forest and onto the grassy savannahs of Africa.

But Ardi, as two of the journal papers show, walked tall in a wooded setting, where trees would have negated the improved sightlines of added height.

Found in the Afar Triangle area of Ethiopia in 1992, Ardi's incomplete skeleton was pieced together from about 100 bone fragments that took three years to fully uncover. While the area is now desert, it was semideciduous woodland when the creature lived, says Kathlyn Stewart, a scientist with Ottawa's Canadian Museum of Nature, who collaborated on one of these papers.

Go back 4.4 million years and you would find Ardi's kind climbing in the trees and foraging upright on the ground, their feet planted comfortably in both worlds.

"This thing is both arboreal and terrestrial," Lovejoy says. "Its pelvis is kind of a mosaic, the upper part is adapted to upright walking, but the lower part is adapted to climbing trees."

Unlike the earliest previously known pre-human – a creature known as Lucy, who lived 1.2 million years later – Ardi still had the opposable big toe of a tree climber.

Yet the males of her species also had the small canine teeth that distinguish humans from great apes.

This dental detail, says Lovejoy, is a key clue to the walking mystery.

Male apes with small canines were less capable of fighting off competitors, Lovejoy says, and would have to offer females something more for mating favours.

"Instead of males gaining access to females by threatening other males ... they're getting access to females by providing them food," he says. Upright walking made it easier to carry that food through their woodland environment.

"So the whole savannah theory (of walking) is now gone as well."

In an independent analysis of the research, Alan Walker, a Pennsylvania State University paleoanthropologist, called the Ardi fossils "extraordinary."

"The anatomy behind this behavioural combination is very unexpected and is certain to cause considerable rethinking of not only our evolutionary past, but also that of our living relatives, the great apes."

When you study the activities of the global elite you will eventually find that they are deeply involved in the occult and the ancient mystery religions.
Washington DC is the centre hub of occult power in America. Sacred Geometry and satanic symbolism is hidden in plain site, but those who have eyes to see can see it. Nearly every building is modeled after Greek, Roman and Egyptian structures which idealize the empires of the past.
Our purpose for going to DC was to shoot footage of the buildings and institutions which are deeply involved in the push towards a One World Government. Some of these include the Federal Reserve, the Capital building, the White House and the House of the Temple also known as the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry supreme council of the 33rd degree.
While attempting to film these structures we were approached by secret service and DC security around 15 times (most of which were captured on film). The agents wanted our names and our ID but unlike most people in the nations capital, we know our rights and we never did submit that information to them, not once. One officer informed me that it is illegal to film the security because it is suspicious! One of the Federal Reserve officers told me that he wanted my name to be entered into a data base in order to find out if I pose a threat.
This current incremental approach towards a police state is all possible because of the false flag attack known as 911. Without 911 the slow erosion of our freedoms would not be possible. DENVER, Colorado – A strong core of believers continue to tout the notion of frequent alien visitors to Earth — UFOs — although this view is largely dismissed by skeptical, mainstream researchers.

But UFOlogists come in two flavors: Those who spend money to investigate the possibility, and those who simply aim to make money off the whole concept.

All this was discussed here last month at the 40th Annual International UFO Symposium, staged by the Mutual UFO Network, Inc., or MUFON, based in Fort Collins, Colorado. The symposium subtitle: "Dawn of a new era in UFO research."

A few lecture topics by noted speakers tell the story, from reflections of an old UFO chaser to dramatic changes in trace/landing events, as well as highlights from a 20-year study of Canadian sightings and even a talk on engaging a skeptic about UFOs.

Pseudoscientific

A long-time veteran of UFOlogy is Stanton Friedman, a nuclear physicist and lecturer on incoming ET traffic. And he is resolute.

"If one makes an appropriately objective and careful examination of the pro and anti-UFO arguments, one finds that the evidence is overwhelming that Earth is being visited by intelligently controlled vehicles of extraterrestrial origin and that only pseudoscientific arguments of a vocal but small group of debunkers stand in the way of reaching that conclusion, along with a fear of ridicule for being logical," Friedman explained.

Friedman's advice to UFO devotes: "Take courage. I have had only 11 hecklers at more than 700 lectures...and two of them were drunk."

Decades of UFO study are under the belt of Frank Salisbury, emeritus professor of plant physiology at Utah State University in Logan.

Given all that research, Salisbury's bottom line is that UFOs "are both real and important...whatever they are!" In the meantime, he added, don't discount a nearby parallel universe or a worm hole as ingredients in the saga.

Salisbury's sense is that there are intelligences behind the UFOs. And he served up a take-home message too.

"They want to be seen by a few of us, influencing us in some way unknown to us. So what are they trying to achieve with their displays? Darned if I know! For one thing, they might simply want to keep us confused. With me, they have succeeded."

Getting to the truth

As for what's hot in UFO research, James Carrion, MUFON International Director, said the organization has initiated a strategic relationship with Las Vegas-based hotel mogul and space module entrepreneur, Robert Bigelow.

In the works since April, Bigelow is footing the bill on operational expenses so MUFON investigators can pay attention to high priority cases, Carrion said, "and not go chasing lights in the sky."

Trained MUFON specialists can now be rapidly deployed, sent to sighting areas to gather data, even send physical evidence to a lab "while it's fresh, before other folks try to horde it," Carrion said. "In other words, really pay attention to what we should be paying attention to."

Carrion is frank regarding today's state of UFOlogy. He leaves no doubt that there are hucksters – not just, perhaps, aliens—among us.

"There are those of us in MUFON who want to solve the mystery. There are those other folks out there that want to perpetuate the mystery. There is this cottage industry out there. This is their employment and a way to make a buck," Carrion pointed out. "They have no desire to really get to the truth."

But for Carrion, the truth is out there.

"I think there's a core phenomenon. But we have to whittle away at it," Carrion told SPACE.com. One specific research track that he dubs "forensic history" is following the role of the U.S. Government in the UFO field.

"There's an indelible fingerprint out there that shows what the patterns of activity have been. It'll take some research," Carrion said. The Internet has proven to be a powerful tool, he said, enabling the gathering of UFO-related information instantaneously and to help corroborate items of interest.

"In my opinion, UFOlogists have only scratched the surface of potential research on the role of the Government in the UFO field, especially as it relates to counter-intelligence, code breaking, psychological warfare, and Cold War operations."

Evidentiary rules

Taking part in the MUFON meeting was Jeffrey Bennett, scientist and author of "Beyond UFOs - The Search for Extraterrestrial Life and Its Astonishing Implications for Our Future."

Admittedly on the agenda as a "token skeptic," Bennett's view is that UFO advocates are best served by "assigning plausibility" to the conviction by hard core believers that Earth is on the receiving end of alien travelers.

"They think they've got evidence. But for me, it's not strong enough yet," Bennett told SPACE.com. One complaint he heard at the MUFON gathering was that mainstream scientists won't fund UFO research.

"But it's the way science works," Bennett counters. The kind of proof presented has not met the standards of scientific scrutiny, he added, "and if it ever does, they'll get their funding."

Others too dismissive?

For the most part, UFO activists are using a different set of evidentiary rules, Bennett said. "We've got our reasons why we like our set of rules in science, because it has been successful. It has allowed a lot of progress."

Bennett spotlights the technological level necessary to trek here from other stars. Then toss in the scale of the universe...the scale of time too. Views generated by "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" have invaded popular culture, so much so, that speeding through the cosmos appears to be a piece of cake.

"In fact, the technology is so incredible that it makes almost all the UFO claims look kind of silly," Bennett said. For instance, scooting across a humungous stretch of space and time to pile drive your craft into Roswell, New Mexico...that's more a stretch in plausibility, he observed.

All that being said, Bennett feels that sometimes the scientific community is far too dismissive of those that witness occurrences chalked up as UFOs.

"We can wish that everybody uses the same standards of evidence. But there's nothing wrong with them as human beings for not doing so. Leave them alone. Let them keep their interests up. Use that opportunity to educate them a little bit along the way...then that's good," Bennett concluded.

Whatever your UFO in-take is, be it a real deal belief, fantasy folk lore and/or a raw form of pulp fiction, one can't leave a MUFON convocation without bringing to mind a Bob Dylan lyric: "Something is happening here...but you don't know what it is."

Cammy: A New Canadian Lake Monster?

Move over, Sasquatch: Some say there's a new monster in Canada, living in a small lake on Vancouver Island.

John Kirk, co-founder of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, says his organization began cataloguing sighting reports of an odd creature in Cameron Lake about five years ago, when two people reported seeing a long black animal in the water.

"Witnesses have been describing what looks like a dark creature in the lake," Kirk said, adding that British Columbia has more reputed lake monsters than anywhere else in the world.

Kirk, who researches mysterious and unknown creatures, believes that the creature may be found, and spent one day aboard a boat searching the lake, courtesy of the local tourism board. Using a fish finder, Kirk's team found what he believes was a giant object amid a school of fish about 60 feet below the surface. Because the sonar picked up the object over the course of several passes, Kirk believes the anomalous reading was not simply a tight school of fish, which would have eventually dispersed.

Yet sonar images provided by fish finders are inherently ambiguous and give very little information. Unfortunately, the promise of better evidence vanished in the cold lake when the investigative team lost its underwater camera. Maybe a fastener was not properly tightened, or perhaps the lake monster had it for lunch. Whatever the reason, the search had to be called off.

While Cammy is Canada's newest monster, the most famous mystery serpent in the area is Caddy, the serpentine sea monster said to reside in Cadboro Bay, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. As with all such unknown animals, there is little consensus on what they might be: perhaps a known fish, a decidedly un-extinct dinosaur-like plesiosaur, or eyewitnesses' mistaken perceptions.

While the media entertain wild conjecture about the Lake Cameron monster, Kirk remains grounded, suggesting it is probably a known creature such as a giant eel or a large sturgeon. "I'm not going to the extent to say there's anything exotic down there," he says.

Indeed, the recent vintage of the Lake Cameron monster sightings argues against the existence of a large, unknown creature living there. Why, for example, would the first report only date back to 2004? Did the creature (or creatures) suddenly migrate into the lake from somewhere else that year? Or are people simply misinterpreting ordinary fauna?

One woman took a photograph of something odd in the lake back in 2007, describing it as having "a serpent shape" — but also looking like "a large fish." Was it, after all, a large fish?

It seems likely that she was correct, and did in fact see something strange in the water. But there's an illogical leap in assuming that "something strange" is necessarily an unknown lake monster.

In May of this year a swimming deer or moose was videotaped at Vermont's Lake Champlain, sparking speculation about Champ, the monster said to live there. Just as unknown creatures on land become Bigfoot, and unidentified objects in the sky become UFOs, mysterious objects and animals in the water become lake monsters.

Kirk and his team plan a return to Lake Cameron next year, when the lake may reveal its secrets — if indeed it harbors any.
