CORE NXS – Allround kite presentation

Familiar character. Noticeably more performance. Twintip, surfboard or foil – the NXS is built for riders who refuse to choose just one discipline and demand strong performance in all conditions.

The NXS combines key characteristics from several CORE models. Elements from the Nexus, Pace, Section and Xlite come together in a kite that stands on its own. The result is a design that intentionally bridges disciplines and performs exactly where they intersect.

Laje do Gardenal – Pedro Matos

I stopped at Laje do Gardenal, the heaviest slab in Rio de Janeiro and one of the most dangerous waves in Brazil. It breaks far away, about 2 km from the beach, in front of the Tijucas Islands, on top of a shallow rock. That kind of wave that for years was only a legend among the big wave surfers in Rio.

And the idea was crazy: to take the Gardenal with a FOIL. In the morning, we entered the slab on a surf foil towed by jet ski. It was the first foil session I experienced on that peak, with the whole gang together, 8 to 10 foot wave breaking with the Christ, the Two Brothers and the Stone of Gávea in the background. In the afternoon the wind came and we returned to surf the same peak with a KITE. He had a bad fall, got scared (Léo almost went into one), and had that day that aligns the stars: wave, wind and the right friends in the water.

Foil in the morning, kite in the afternoon, on the most dangerous wave in Brazil. One of the most unbelievable days I’ve ever filmed.

ABOUT THE GARDENAL SLAB
It is an oceanic slab that breaks at the tip of the Tijucas Islands, in Rio. The name comes from the medicine (the wave “erases you”). Because of the shallow rock and thick tube, it became known as the “Teahupoo do Rio” and is almost always tow-in (jet ski). Few people enter there.

Waterman – The story of Kelton Lopes

Kelton Lopes is the definition of a true waterman.

Born and raised in Cape Verde, he grew up surrounded by some of the world’s most legendary surf conditions.

Following in the footsteps of local legends, the ocean became his playground from day one. Whether it’s surfing, spearfishing or simply spending the day in the water, life there always revolves around the sea.

In the campaign, Kelton shows us his home spot and the culture that shaped him. Barefoot island life, unpaved streets, sharing freshly caught fish with the local community and always surrounded by good energy. With his tattoos, fearless attitude and positive spirit, he brings an authentic edge to the collection.

The men’s styles reflect that same effortless lifestyle: relaxed summer fits, lightweight fabrics and swim shorts designed for every kind of water session.

Marc Rowley : “I spent a great week in the beautiful County Kerry, Ireland. The conditions were fantastic for the Kitesurf, Wing and also Foil Drive. It was also my first proper trip away in the VW Crafter 4Motion, which was a real treat top be able to drive on the huge empty beaches there.”

Australian Slab Tour – James Carew

After years of not having the time or the resources, we finally hit the road for a slab tour at home.

We linked up with a couple mates chased swells up and down the coast, and managed to score some pretty sick sessions.

Australia has so much to offer when it comes to surfing, and it was amazing to finally take advantage of the world-class conditions on offer. From long days on the road to early morning missions and heavy slab sessions, this trip was packed. Thanks to everyone who helped us out, shared waves, and made the journey one to remember.

IT NEVER LEFT – strapless big air is not dead

We’ve been working lately on a kitesurfing video project with Nomadic Sea focused on strapless big air.

We wanted to show that the discipline is still alive and that we’re still pushing ourselves to improve and progress.

We shot it in the insane Cape Town wind conditions this February, and we’re really stoked to finally share this project.

Heading to Madagascar with Matt Argentin and Jules Chollet for a raw adventure in search of untouched waves. After a long travel, the spot is here, pumping with nobody else. Switching between kite and wing sessions, the two riders score clean swell in one of the most isolated places on earth. A trip driven by commitment and pure freedom.
