The rose, the cry the life!

Her name was Levi when she walked on the moon

She smiled often carrying a red rose to her heart to cover the hole
To be seen perfect, she walked sideways to cover the fat
And hence she was beautiful in what was perceived

Between her fingers she kept a broken toe that helped her to fly when she needed to cry
Around her house she kept purple chicks to remember her of the child within!

She kept her wedding dress hanging on a door to wear when she needed to dance
She smiled often and gave the rose away

a rose to every kid who needed to be whole

She often slept so she cut her finger to remember the present
And presence was the present she gave herself every time she looked at the moon

The moon, Ah... where granny lived the one who loved her to the sky

She went to the moon to remind the Gods of kindness and love
So Levi lived and loved and cried while smiling at the world
and gave the flowers away that covered the hole
Dreamed of the moon and went to the stars
To magnify the stars to brighten the night

But she lived down below, below the stars and loved and lived and cried while carrying the rose
The rose that covered the hole, the one she gave away to color the world

The Blessed Soul

He read to me

from the green apple

the generosity of a dying ant

He petted my hair

and gave me a drink

from the tears of fairies!

He shook my hand

watered the broken vase in the corner yard

Remembered the dying fish in the black bowl too

Played me music

the blessed soul

One night while I was sleeping on the dying thread of eternity

That night behind the horizon of I see nothing,feel nothing and maybe the end is near

While I was trying to repeat"This shall pass too, this shall pass too" over and over again,,,

He sparkled like a star

now nothing is the same

He sang me a song

"He my son!"

When I think of you...

When I think of you
I think of a drawing in Spring
of mountains standing tall
oceans running calm
When I think of you birds are chirping
Pain is gone
I feel warm and I picture myself as a chick
Maybe a duckling following you
running in fields of grass
When I think of you

I picture the wood drawing in the living room
all is pure and free!
I fly towards the horizon
birds, me, you ,spring,ocean, today!
My eyes are closed and I don't see black when I think of you
The door is open and the pig in the fridge is alive
and all the farm animals
and Snowden is no longer a hostage in the airport so I can stop crying
We are all free
And
Sometimes thinking of you is just blue,green and orange in love.

The magenta sound of paradise

One can appreciate the flowers on one's way that refreshes one's soul.

Mr Tree with flowers!anyone knows the name?

Yet another one and the breeze always the breeze to remind us how lucky we are and of course the sun!

My students hard work. I am so proud of them. Almost all got into UC or Ivy league schools.

Again students came on a hot weekend day to watch "Do the Math" movie and to take action on what needs to be done about the climate crises.

Then again we can appreciate our attempt in connecting with nature;however seldom the attempts, the joy is well worth it!

and also the joy of seeing young minds expanding. Ah the joys of living!
I appreciate life! and I appreciate you my friend who are taking the time to read my blog. Who or what are somethings you appreciate in your life?

Taking note on what must be and what can’t be

Concentrating on the illusions of my brain

Perception of reality which is not

Believing in truth

losing it's meaning

Swimming towards the vastness

in not knowing

Pretending to be the first one

who knows the knowing of the climb

and yet they still might

build the Keystone XL pipeline!

I might even change from a one to a seven

Then fly

in the vastness of not knowing

Onward to the path of awakening

I bend my finger backwards

Not to feel the pain

The throbbing, the perfume

The thunder of knives laughing

Clouds clapping in disgust

Hiding for shelter

I smell the fish

Looking for the cat

Cat taking a bubble bath

In the perfume of lies

I open the door to watch nobody come in

Nobody with a smirk is at the door

With the everlasting generosity

Of a cow with no milk and frizzy hair

I watch nobody hitting me in the stomach

I’m almost out of breath

But don’t dare to quit

I run in the direction of nothing

Somewhere close to no-one

On the other side of nothing with a smirk

The laughing cow jumps over the moon

I see as nobody as my witness

how the narrow ends of a hollow line

becomes wavy and starts to dance

Dancing on the other side of nothing with a smirk

there is a nobody who knows my songs

Some place where I almost start to dance

Where are we from?

I am walking on footsteps of a memory and swimming in a wide ocean with an unknown depth. There are shadows of light and reflection of a life half lived in the horizon and I need to search deep to find out where I am from. There are doors I have to open and alleys I must walk in my brain to get to the core of this question :“ Where am I from?”

I picture that I am from a place not affected by global warming! I am from a place protected from greed, where disease, poverty and injustice are stories of the past. I am from a place were all humans are aware of fragility of life. I am from a place were people truly believed in democracy and its true meanings. I am from a place where corporations and money are powerless and truth and morality rules.

But does such a place exist? In this global economy can we say we are from X or Y? Aren’t we all intertwined by our global connections? But do we act as such? Where are we from? Where are you from?

The dream....

To be searching and not finding.
To be a dream of you are capturing the moon and standing in a puddle going nowhere.

To have to operate on your vocal cords just to hear a faint scream and scream again till you are no more vocal.

To look at the ocean and see blood and then to see yourself flying over a green, green grass dreaming of a man who is your life and then reaching emptiness, emptiness.

Flying over the coo coo’s nest

I drink a sip of water.

It is my turn!

I dream of a wide valley where the roses smell like roses.

There is a place where I dream of.

It is over the horizon. I shall tie a red, red ribbon or maybe yellow around that corner close to something and then suddenly and only suddenly ....
I wake up and yes! I take a deep breath!

He ate and died from hunger.

Wave: The story of my life.

She danced with or without legs.

Heart: Emotion is dancing in rain.

He held her memories and danced.

She opened her eyes and slept.

There is rain under the shadows

I’ve found light

I followed the sun to catch

the ship that carried the last rain

how I could have been

the beneficiary of your wrath

My fault

to lay in the drought of a smile

hoping for a drop of kindness to fall

The drop so few

The ocean so deep

It pains me to know

this was the last straw

From now till eternity

your wrath shall not harm me

as I’ve grown

The girl you had buried under the sand

can live

Somehow survived the drought

There is rain under the shadows

I’ve found light

Escaped the lonely cage you built around my soul

You see my soul had wings

I flew, I saw the sun

It pains me to know I am writing to you for the last time

Knowing far too well

Your unreachable nature

Shall never read through
the blood I shed
writing the last piece

while I followed the sun to catch

the ship that carried the last rain

to take me away

where I can dust off the memories

Writing this letter

This very last time

Breathing the air that was not mine

Under the sky that was only yours

to me it was black

It pains me writing this letter

While cutting my heart in pieces

For the last time for you to see

But alas, not to feel

Your closed hearts doing

It pains me to see the heart locket

I had carved for you from my soul

buried in a corner close to

What used to be nothing for you

marks of uncaring fingers

how dirt covered it deep

it pains me to see how my writing

never enters your heart

how you always are the one

not bleeding from my wounds.

Bag of laughter!

I have been spotted next to a flower

Under the ocean

Sobbing

I have been spotted

Next to a pillow

Drinking wine

I have been spotted

Doing a crazy dance

Naked, naked

The sun was not out

Bright, bright moon

I have been spotted

Behind a tall tree

Holding a doll sobbing

I have been spotted

Climbing that tree
Playing hide and seek with the sun
I have been spotted
Praying for love
Standing naked
Smiling
My hands wide open
I ripped the white shirt
Wet, wet shirt
I swim in the ocean
I carry a bag of laughter
Till the end
The bag! Larger than me!
Me and the bag
A journey of a lifetime
I’m swimming
Reaching
I’m climbing the mountain
Next to the apple
Close to the rose
I catch the butterfly
Open the bag of laughter
I’m sleeping
Under a tree
It carries my hopes

Doors and..

I tapped on my shoulders to check

Is she alive?

corrosion on red beating thing!

Long wave of numbness

A battle had begun

The long snake of desire and corrosion

made a mash

Someone had died in the battle

Orange peels where smiling

Half of what had to be right was wiggly

Around the edges of confusion a fence was built

A blue bird dared to join

The vivid smell of nothingness waved

Parked my car on the left

Invited jalapeño just to make sure I feel

The color of the clouds tasted like strawberries

The jalapeño did nothing

I needed a push

To open the door

There was no door where I lived

There was no door!

I woke up

Still no door

I drew an imaginary door around me

A door full of rooms

I parked on the left

With jalapeño and the new built door

Only an African dance

a complete match

of fire and soul

Against the window a parked car

on the left

There was fire and songs

I put on my shoes

I had to go

The door was gone

No door can be built on a sand castle.

I was not a frog!

The day I realized I was not a frog
the streets were purple
no sound to be heard
someone's house had a broken pipe
drip..drip..drip...

I felt the shadow of water on my skin
my human skin!
the water was green

There were too many stars in the sky
I didn't want a pair of glasses
I couldn't have been a frog!
I would have hoped
it all seemed so gloomy
the gunshots....
the floating angels
small kids, nowhere to go
A black line over the sky
A dark moon
A sky with no sun

I would have hoped if I was a frog
A sky with no sun!
It wouldn't have cut so deep
I would have imagined
a colorless night
paint over the black line

I would have stopped the sky from crying

in the day with no sun

Heart with a hole_leg!

Like an unbearable wound

Gangrene was cut from my heart

The hole is permanent,But

I walk stronger and plan to reach destiny

I carried the infectious wound for a lifetime

Afraid of it’s loss

Like the root of a tree

That no longer must

I had to let the knotted root go

For the leaves to turn Green

My everlasting apology

For not watering what had to go

Now my leaves move freely in the wind

I welcome morning dew

Rain washes me free

At times,
I limp on the leg
with the hole in it’s heart

An Observation Story --while waiting---

I was like a machine that had to move and go somewhere. I felt like I was not in control of anything within me, so you might say that I was spinning. My head was spinning, and I was praying that in some way I can get control of my consciousness or unconsciousness for that matter.

At that point I was certain that I can’t even multiply two by two, or if I could I won’t be able to give an answer that would equal four. The answer at that moment was something more like twelve or eighteen.

That was possible, and I was almost certain that everyone knew what I meant! Those mysterious moments in our lives when 2X2 does not equal 4, that’s were I was!

I wished that my state of being would change, and that I became more centered but the more I thought about it the more certain I became that this would be my state for awhile. I took a book, and looked through the pages. I was pretty certain that I couldn’t understand what it said!

Next, I thought the best thing would be a phone call to my mom, since I never knew what I was talking about when I talked to her. It was always about her, so it didn’t matter where my consciousness was or what I was thinking/not thinking.

I saw the moon and realized that I was not a little girl anymore. I wasn’t even sure of that! So, I could have been!

My center of reality had shifted and for a second I decided to blame everything on the earthquake in Japan. Why not? How many times in our lives can we really come up with an answer to a problem that could be probable? Here I was! One lucky ducky!

Then, I paused for a second, and realized that I had been finding myself in this peculiar mode quiet often recently. I saw that I had been jumping from one hole and falling straight in to another. In other words, I had been digging different graves for myself without really burying anyone in it.

I had this weird tendency for staying put, and not giving in to any form of a struggle. It was dark now, and as such I decided it was time to get in touch with my inner self. I was under the impression that if all around me was dark I could focus. I might have found the inner me, which I was searching for. I had left that inner me, somewhere in the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and Santa Monica Blvd.

It was at that moment when I realized that I might have had a different and unique inner me, traveling the streets of ......... I quickly dismissed that idea, it totally seemed crazy and without foundation. In any case, I didn’t remember that me. I had hid and buried it somewhere far, far away in my soul.

I was dancing, and at a split second I decided to dance even more. It was a very strange dance where my legs where not moving and my soul was flying. I reached the sky and at that point I realized that I had left me there, to observe things from above. That was the safe me that didn’t need Grey Goose, or any alcoholic beverage to be centered. I was centered up there observing me, us, the kids down below. Looking over my mother in law and making sure she was ok. I couldn’t fathom anything seriously wrong with her. I loved her too much and she was sick in the hospital going through many different tests.

I decided to jump. There was a safe haven for me to jump to. Somewhere white fluffy and pink. I drank and laughed up there which was somewhere close to God. I was happy there. Up there, no one expected me to cook dinner and I wrote from day to night. I wrote and took the inner me to the biggest party ever thrown. In that place I borrowed a dollar or two and rented red shoes to dance. I did not even know how to dance but I started. It was a good dance which lasted for hours and eventually I mastered the dance.

The dance told a story. A story of everything I never had and would have wanted to have. It drew a pink line over the rainbow and at a frozen moment in time I wished upon that one star, the very star which had the shape of my dreams. I went there and saw for sure that clouds were not really blue. They were orange and everything green was in fact white. I saw the colors much clearer. There was a glass that reflected me in the mirror and there it was. Voila!!

I was happy and content there. The stars were bright and everything was made of glass. I dreamt of becoming a butterfly. There I was a butterfly in a big, big bubble. I did not burst that bubble. I was just happy. I was the queen of my dream. Hey, I kissed that butterfly! That Butterfly became Nani. I flew over the coo coo’s nest. I was really lucky that they didn’t keep me there.
