Blog Breakdown.

It’s been a while since I’ve written something about ‘fashion’ but when times like this occurs, I call it blog breakdown… it’s quite tough to deal with realistically. All I could think of was to express myself in my own blog and let you readers know whats going on or actually let myself understand what I’m feeling :S

This whole year started off rough, personal life that is… A new years resolution wasn’t on my list of thoughts, not that I ever had one, I don’t think?
But for those who do, I hope you get on that right track and follow through.
As for myself, looking ahead of time or trying to is quite vague right now…

Ending the year that passed, I went through pressure and in the beginning of this new year… I was still in pressure… pressure for a real career, what type of lifestyle and type of people I want in my life in order to succeed what I really want, not talking about my friends now, but along the lines of my career path. Knowing what you want to do is easy, but going through it all is the tough part. Don’t get me wrong I know it’s all worth it in the end, and that nothing comes easy in life for bigger responsibilities and greater rewards. But like I said, I’m in the middle of it and once you’re in it, you think you can’t get out of the feeling that you won’t succeed.

It gets tiring when you’re always thinking about everything. I do that most of the time. Mind draining, mood swings, always tired from work but really, it’s not that tiring. Thinking is the cause, trying not to think is hard when something new always comes up with family, personal relationships, friends and your own life. All these thoughts are dwelt upon feelings.

It’s cliche but when one problem is solved another one comes along. It’s never ending but only measures the patience of one self. I’ve obviously hit that point that’s why I’m here, boring I know, but it’s helping me think it through slowly. A personal diary/journal would have been good, but I’m pretty sure it’s not only me who’s feeling this way. Many of you may be feeling the same but in different situations.

Needing to talk to someone who’ll just listen rather than judge or give lectures would be good, but even they can’t give answers in the end. Taking every day one step at a time isn’t all that true when you’re in this situation, it is a good thing but it doesn’t solve anything. Organising my list of thoughts should be a priority. Finding inspiration should help me through…

Anyways, a blog breakdown is just how it is.

Merry Christmas! A day filled with family and friends, food and of course… presents!
A season celebrated world wide, something that everyone shares together once a year.

Being one of many who has family all over the world and thinking about them right now on this day, I can’t help to think I’m over here boiling in summer, whilst my family in the States and Europe are freezing their a** off… At least my family on the islands, know what I’m talking about…

It really is something special on Christmas day, enough getting ‘moushy‘, I just wanna cut down to the facts of fashion.

Had a lot of people come up to me this week at work not knowing what to buy for their family and friends, partners and kids, but what I found a lot of people doing was buying their outfits for the day, asking myself what they should wear, some weren’t that enthusiastic, but those who were, were a blast to help out.
For the ladies a great dress for today was the best shopped out item I helped out with, for the guys, a pair of jeans or cargo’s went well with them to wear and a singlet.

Busy days, when there’s hardly anytime for much things except for the things thats meant to be done, such as; work, eat, sleep and the occasion peaceful time to yourself.

I’m sure everyone’s a victim of this, busy, busy, busy and finally you stop to think to yourself, that your only caught up with so much that the only reason your so busy is cause your so exhausted with the same thing over and over again.

Out of these few months I appear and disappear, there’s never a day I go without thinking about the worlds fashion, among other things… Kill me now, I’ve been guilty of just dressing up daggy, from someone who blogs about fashion… I’ve been overwhelmed about other things and sometimes forget to take pride in my own passion. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a couple of things to post up…

This summer down under, back with the gladiators, short shorts, and those revealing tops, oh the boys will be loving it this summer!

Other than that and my busy days, I just felt the need to write something little… I’ll be back for sure.

Bored of the ordinary? Modern day fashionista’s are classified to be over done, emo, up-tight, city like, etc.

If it’s not the typical jeans and T’s, your either; “hectik”, no fashion sense or just the ordinary. As I call it; the Modern Day Romantics, I appreciate what they bring to the streets here in Sydney.

Random influence, fashion orientated, vintage.

A little insight as to why I thought I’d bring this up, working in retail is obviously about image, but realizing and appreciating others, image wise is different. Everyday even I’m a victim of judging from time to time, but appreciating the difference that others wear is something that makes me love the art of fashion.

Some people may think “everyone” dresses up like that these days and just want to keep simple, yeah that’s fine. But the word everyone is too little in this fashion world.

Slither in Leather this winter, down under!

Yeah okay, I’ve been gone a while and many have wondered what’s happening. Nothing really, just thought to give myself an insight into the world myself.
But it hasn’t stopped me from seeing the eyed out fashion in the city of Sydney, state the obvious; the leather’s back in town.

Not that it’s ever gone out of fashion; scheming through my parents cupboard, but fashion is a cycle. As we all know, no need for me to give you that tip.

Leather gives you that sleek, sophisticated and street fashionable look no matter where you are…

This season, it’s been a craze. Leather for most are an ideal outfit for a Saturday night out in the cold.
“On top of that pretty dress or to match up with those apple bottom jeans!”
Not to mention those dark stilettos heels… That’s a different must have materialistic need.

Theory; This isn’t only about the film clip with the highly addictive new sound, of course Cut Copy with Lights & Music, but the lyrics don’t exactly point out what I will say… though I’ve been listening to this song quite often this week, thought I’d make something out of it!

This song has a chill rhythm that’s easy listening, Cut Copy - from Melbourne, Australia, a band that’s been around for a while but just started getting it’s high share of fame, after a few tours over the past 7-8 years from their start, they’re on a roll!

“Their sound, often labeled as indie dance and/or electroclash, draws considerable influence from 80s new wave and post punk genres.”

Creating the 80s feel and taste of fashion in their video clips, bringing it to the new era.

Light’s & Music, as this song says; this week has been pretty hectic and still is going, I’m pretty sure everyone deals with being under the spotlight and where I work, we use music to entertain everyone. This justifies what I’m feeling during a learning process, being under the light and coming home to music is something that’s dear to me.
Many don’t know.
But there’s something about them and this song.

This is an insight for the band itself who are talented in their own way, which I admire dearly, in their own way of style that’s inspired me in this week.

You all know what it is, how it is, what looks good and feels great!

Back from the collectors war has been tough, taking time off to analyze the world today, where fashion is heading not only to the extreme but to the simple side of it.

High-class is considered the top fashion in todays society which is everybody’s type of fashion, just the look of it… right… We can all bluff with name tags and get away with it, in style and attitude. But the real ones are with quality.
So keep your eye out on new denims out, get your butt ready… and a tip… save up, you get what your moneys worth!

Cliche huh?? True story.

Known as the all time model, Twiggy is the model icon of the 60’s, model based from London. Models, modeling… Picture perfect… It isn’t an easy job as it looks.

Many models aspiring to be one, have vague knowledge about the industry, a picture and a pose is more than what it looks, a picture can tell a million stories but it’s a captured Polaroid that’s been expressed in an artistic moment. Attitude, acting, emotions, structure, apparel and the nature of beauty and art is expressed into the one photo.

Twiggy’s natural beauty, her rounded big eyes, firmed shaped lips, cheek bone structure and tiny figure made her the face of the 60’s icon of models.
Although she had the beauty, importantly she has intellectual stream and personality.

Before becoming the next Twiggy, Kate Moss, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Claudia Schiffer and many more but also including and Gisele Bündchen - who is the worlds highest paid model, all of these models have been through their highs and lows, rejection and patients with their hard work.
As being a part of this industry many are taught to be BOLD and not only BEAUTIFUL, but be able to show their stupid side and ridiculously vulnerable flaws.

Models, Modeling… Picture perfect… analyze.

Vintage Couturier, is obviously a one hit wonder from the fashion world of history. The trend setting in the mid 1900s was uniquely original, when women set their own trends and styles with their own garments at home.

The influence of this era has made a major impact of the new generation in town, bringing back the days our grandmother’s, grandfather’s, mom’s and dad’s wear.
